Can you do more videos on colour separation please. I feel like it’s a very important topic that a lot of screen printers need help on including myself. Especially if you are learning to use photoshop and illustrator by yourself. Amazing and informative video. You got a new subscriber. Bonus points if you manually print it.
@@mikeydesignssilkscreen473 One thing you don't talk about is the Ink/pigment you're using. How are you matching the separated color to the actual ink? do you match the ink to the file, or the file to the ink, or is it certain industry standard colors? Like, will any brand "lemon yellow" get you close enough. or is their some trial and error involved in dialing it in? You're knowledge would be SO appreciated.
the thing I don't get is the ink colors--those are such generic names for ink colors, "red, turquoise, lemon yellow..." Those pigments change based on supplier, and what kind of red? there are tons of reds out there. When Action seps calls out a color, is that a PMS that is assigned to that color? Is it using a specific brand's ink catalog? How does someone know which specific ink color to use?
Do I absolutely need the original pictures (ie: photographs) of an image to make a great (simulated process) screenprint or you can do as well with a print of the image?
