That's useful thanks, trying to get my head around all this stuff. So this subscription is purely so you can download and display GRIB files? How long does the prepaid card last you?
It depends on how many downloads you do really. Offshore in the mid latitudes I download every 4 or 5 days, Southern Ocean every other day! This card was $400 and would last me about 5 months at sea. I'm also just looking for the most basic data, just the wind forecast. Hope that helps.
