Thanks... just installed the AUX connection. Needed quite some force to remove the panel and radio. Found out that you first have to install the bolts again before pushing the panel fully in the care again
Sadly not since the lamps failed the UK MOT, fitting them up inside the wheelarch was a real pain as the LED part was deeper and wider than the halogen H4, I have had similar problem fitting them in a Nissan Note (not yet MOT's in the same) .... nice bright lights though
Are you able to provide some links to the parts I will need? Im not sure of what the connecter is called that I will need to go into the back of the stereo. Any help will be very much appreciated!
all you need is a jumper (a shorting doo-dad) like you would find on a hard drive or graphics card used to connect two pins together, the connection on the rear of the stereo for the AUX part of the equation is also a cable from a computer device where the wires go to individual pins I think the best thing for you to find is a scrapped PC down a dump and scavenge the wires and jumpers out of that. You could also try a PC repair shop and show the guy/gal the video?
as described in the earlier comments, I used old computer connections (from the components in the case to the motherboard) the connection to the device (not the head unit) was a 3.5mm stereo jack on a long lead - look at the connections in the video, the joins between the computer pin sockets and the wires from the 3.5mm jack were soldered and shrinkwrapped for completeness.
