In this video, we look at how to operate the Active Parking Assist function in a Mercedes-Benz vehicle. We show you how to parallel park with ease using this technology.
i've been driving my 2015 GL 63 AMG for two years. and never knew i had this. I was just curious about this blue P on the screen and googled it then found this.
If you are using the Active Park Assist feature and grab the steering wheel this will disengage it, but holding them up high in the air like I am is optional. Cheers Stacey ;-)
Just purchased Merc c220 AMG SPORT ED PREM + CDI A, 2143CC, it is a 2015 car(65), I am somewhat confused, am I required by the Parking Pilot to TOUCH the brake OR accelerator during the parking process. There are conflicting suggestions in a number of video's, I would be most grateful to receive your advice.? Thank You
Hi Chris, thank you for getting in touch. You will need to control the brake and accelerator to use the Park Assist. It will control the steering for you. Hope that helps.
My B130 detects a space which requires a bay park, I go through the motions of assistant park but nothing happens so I am assuming it's for parallel parking only.
@@issy785, some models will have Parking Pilot, which I cover in another video. Watch that E-Class Parking Pilot video to see the slight difference in functionality between the different models.
I was using park assist for the first time on my 2018 c class coupe today. I was happy with the position of the car before the end of the menouver. I just switched the engine off and the steering wheel lock banged on. It didn’t sound very nice. When I started the car up again, the dash read (park assist cancelled). Are the any components that could’ve been damaged?
Hi Natalie, well done on using the Park Assist for the first time. If you have any concerns, I suggest contacting your local dealer who will be able to assist.
I’m sorry but if you can’t park a car without that you shouldn’t be driving ,, also look how far it leaves it from the kerb ,, I park tight in to the kerb so as lorries can get through without hitting it
