I see that a lot of these comments are from a few years ago so I thought I should let you know that to this day you are still helping out so many struggling students. Thank you so much for your help!!!

1. Both are movements through the cell membrane but active transport goes against the current (low to high) and passive transport follows the current (high to low) 2. ATP powers active transport 3. Both of them are actions that pass through the cell but endo means go in and exo means go out. 4. Dont know what I would say for this one but I would guess it would be either the ATP or the gateway in which the molecules go through. 5. The white cells kill the bacteria. 6. Vesicles fuse with the cell membrane 7. Phagocytosis and Pinocytosis. I know this video is around 7 years old but i still answered them.

I just started a learn at home biology course and I can't thank you enough! I've been out of school for 20 years and have recently decided to apply for a nursing program. Ofcourse I have some upgrading to do and when I opened my course book yesterday I was immediately overwhelmed and discouraged. That is, until I found one of your videos! It's only been 24 hours but I already know that you are going to be my biggest and most helpful tool for me to pass this course! Again, I cannot thank you enough!

Yeah your videos are helpful! Took biology a million times and just NEVER understood cells. Even in community college, and now im in a university and i don't know why, but this and everything else makes more sense! Thank you SO much! lol you will be the reason I pass! and actually understand what I'm reading now.

1. The similar between active and passive transport is they are both the process that control the movement of substrates in and out of the cell membrane. Difference: Passive transport doesn not need energy as ATP , and it goes from the high concentration to low concentration. In contrast, active transport needs energy (ATP) to start the process and it goes through the lower to the higher concentration. 2.ATP (adenine triphosphate) 3. they are both the process that require energy (active transport) 4. cell membrane 5. white blood cells 6. vacuol 7.phagocytosis with solid particles, pinocytosis with liquid particles

answers - 1) Passive dosen't requires any energy molecule like ATP but Active transport does. 2) ATP 3) Both are active transport methods. 4) Cell membrane 5) Hydrolytic acids of lysosomes 6) Vacuole 7)Pinocytosis and Phagocytosis. Thank you so much for explaining this good. Please make a video for some examples of Active transport also.

I sometimes think some teachers "teach" to confuse the students even more because they don't seem capable of explaining things in simple terms that everyone can understand. Why can't they teach this way...in plain easy to understand English.
@BeverlyBiology
@BeverlyBiology 7 лет назад
I have never met a teacher that has purposely tried to confuse their students before. It's just that each teacher has a style of explaining that works well for them. I'm glad that you have found my style to be helpful. Best wishes to you.

I am a little bit confused at endo-and exocytosis. The definition of active transport is molecules move from low concentration to high concentration which require energy to process. But from the video the part at endocytosis, the cell takes in the food molecules(glucose). I might be wrong, but I was thinking that there is high concentration of glucose outside the cell compared to inside the cell. The glucose molecules moved into the cell by endocytosis. Doesn't this against the definition of active transport? When active transport is from low concentration to high concentration but the molecules just moved from high concentration to low concentration. I might be wrong but I really need your explanation on this point. Thank you in advance.
