Richard Lewis tells Rich Eisen a great story about having dinner with Larry David that proves that the fiction of HBO's "Curb Your Enthusiasm" pretty pretty pretty much follows closely to real-life fact.
The Curb Your Enthusiasm scene where Richard Lewis wants to get lunch, where Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld, both refuse to slide over is priceless. "You want the luxury suite."
Wow, I was expecting mediocre comedy or something rehashed .. but here Richard has me in Stitches with just a simple Chinese Restaurant story , and how completely psycho Larry David is in real life ... ... lmao.. just good stuff .. and the last line .. Gold ...
Back in the 90's, my wife and I were in NYC and went to The Carnegie Deli for a late night meal. Sitting at the table behind us was Richard Lewis and his date. We watched as the wait staff delivered the entire menu of food to his table. They took maybe 2-3 bites and left! Our food arrived - and I was pissed - because I literally could have just eaten the untouched food on his table.
Rich was our sports-caster for a brief period of time on KRCR television 7R here in good ol' Redding Ca. It was apparent even then that he was bound for greater things. Good job Rich!
The irony is that Larry David looks like he barely eats at all. He's always going out to restaurants and dinner parties on Curb Your Enthusiasm. Probably part of the joke.
Lewis jokes about Larry pinching pennies being worried about the meter, but while insisting on paying for the meal, Richard tries to get Larry to split a bowl of soup.
I watched the first episode of curb for the first time last week... The scene where Richard says "You'd better phone me by sundown" to which Larry replies "Sundown? Who do you think you are... Gary Cooper?" 🤣🤣🤣 I've been totally hooked and onto Season4 already!
The most attractive aspect of a person is not so much what they look like..which does help right? But the more important thing is that can they make you laugh? I'd much rather go out with a person who is not only attractive but who can also keep me in stitches... Who was is that said "Laugh and the whole world laughs with you?..so true!
