Kovai Sarala got her help on her education from MGR who is coincidentally a malayalee. So entering films was easy but to sustain one has to have skills and be talented. One of her movie with Vivek is a classic.
Can anybody agree that Sarala mam is a malayali after hearing that "kann raghava"😅 It's her famous dialouge,,Wishes for the movie sembii as you had done a great job !!
For all the Thamizhans and other people getting up in arms about the fact that Kovai Sarala is actually a Malayalee in origin. I'm going to point out some things to calm you down (at least a little): 1.) Kovai stated that she is a Malayalee from "Thrissur". The town of Thrissur and local area of Palakkad used to belong to the "Kongu Desam" hundreds of years ago. 2.) The name "Thrissur" is actually "Thirussur", which is a shortened version of the original name "Thiru Siva Periya Ooru" (that was the name due to the Vadukkunathan Temple). 3.) Malayalam as a FORMAL language is not even 500 years old. The total area of modern day Kerala is ancient Cheran, Pandian and even Kongu Naadu territories. They spoke classical Tamil. Even today's Malayalam still uses ancient Tamil words not used in today's Tamil. A recent border change doesn't automatically make us different people. We all come from the same origin. I'm from the Syriac Christian community, but I found out that my ancient forefathers are of Nadar (dad's side) and Thevar (mom's side) communities.
@@TheUniverse245 Nonsense. Malayalam is nothing buy Sanskritized Tamil. Malayalam linguists and historians have a complexity about admitting this, so they make up historical facts. If that's the case, then why did the Portuguese print a book in Tamil for local Malankara Christians in Kerala?
@@soundcheck2k7Even present day tamil is full of sanskrit words spoken incorrectly. So does that mean the language you guys speak in tamilnadu is also Malayalam. Tamil linguistic Iravatham is the one who confirmed the inscription in Edakkal as Malayalam. Old tamil and Malayalam used same script called brahmi. So dont come up with Malabar church book theory. Tamils can't appreciate or respect other languages. Thats a well known thing in India. We dont want to hear nonsense from tamil linguistic chauvanist like you. Here you cant digest that a Malayali woman made success in Tamil language. So you are trying to demean it by saying Sarala spoke in kongu tamil because trissur was once part of Kongu naadu. No matter how much you try harder, Malayalam and tamil are two different languages. And we are proud of our Malayalam language. Human civilisation came to India from African subcontinent. That doesn't mean all Indians are also Africans
@@TheUniverse245 Nee paranjathu, athu muzhuvanum kopputharam aanu. If Malayalam existed in the 4th century, how come did it take until the 16th/17th centuries for an actual formalization process to make it an established language? Simple, the common ancestor for today's Malayalam and Tamil is none other than classical Tamil, which many Malayalam "historians" conveniently retitled as "proto Dravidian". Great efforts to publish a book in the 15th century was not done in vain or for a minority; the Portuguese published the book in Tamil for Malankara Christians because they didn't speak Malayalam that we speak today, they basically spoke Malabar Tamil or basically more classical Tamil. You can dance and do kathakali around these facts, but your own opinions aren't facts. Edakkal ninde koppu, poyi charithram padikku daa!
@@soundcheck2k7 kongu tamil dialet has no relation with thrissur Malayalam dialect. Sarla speaks good kongu slang because she grew up in Coimbatore. Thats why kovai was added to her name by tamil journalists.
@@TheUniverse245 Thrissur (thiru-siva-periya-ooru) were historically part of Kongunadu. Still to this day, the Mannadiyar (Gounder) communities exist there.
