Patrick Fabian is one of the most underrated performers in a show stacked with great actors. He really nailed the specific kind of professional/jovial persona that a lot of American suits adopt with their clients, while also giving us enough glimpses of a distinct human underneath it. Love Howard Hamlin.

That’s one thing I love about bb and bcs is that they take actors that have had bit pieces in movies and shows, given them centre stage and they have all (IMO) excelled at bringing characters to life, beyond what A list actors can do. The characters feel completely believable and real.

He was unbelievably realistic as a lawyer. I mean whenever he talked, I really felt like wow that guy is a great lawyer, such professionalism, I was drawn to his performance. However, I cannot believe this guy also played some kind of a janitor or something in some movie I remember watching him, he was out of shape too. I cannot believe he played a disgusting character particularly in that role at the same time he can be in his best, polished language, such rich performance as an attorney. This guy was way too charming too. Amazing actor..

My thoughts exactly. He OWNED the role of Howard. The show really got me to hate Jimmy and Kim (both of whom I'd loved) with what they did to Howard. As if they were real people! The power of acting. 🙂

Glad I didnt read the comments here because Howard's fate was so shocking, in a similar way to what happened to Hank in Breaking Bad. Patrick's such an amazing actor. If one could ever imagine the portrayal of a slick corporate lawyer with something of a conscience combined with a very human frailty too, then that would be Howard's character I suppose. Also, the way the directors and writers weave Howard into the plot throughout each season.....it really is Shakespearian and absolutely beautiful to behold.

1:30. "You get to see how everything is shot ..." When Fabian comes back next time, you have to ask him how he managed to keep a straight face (unlike Howard, circa the coffee table), as all these jokes/hints were begging to be had.

I still can't move on from Howard's death. I've seen some spoilers accidentally before even watching the whole series, but it's still the most shocking, gut-wrenching, and heartbreaking death in the BCS-BB franchise. I felt so bad when I slowly began realizing where Saul and Kim's plan was leading. They did this man dirty. By far, the most tragic and undeserved death. I don't know. It felt like a close relative or friend who tragically died, and I still couldn't believe what happened, or maybe because we shared the same birthday. I don't know if that makes sense. I can't help but shed a tear every time I see a video of Howard Hamlin, especially that scene when they showed his and Lalo's corpse sharing a grave or even the actor himself, Patrick Fabian, during some interviews. His character's death felt so real to me in some way. I think I immersed myself deeply into this series and franchise that I've gotten so attached to it and its characters.

@heyidaroo I never agreed with their plan against Howard. It was unnecessary. I felt so bad for Howard. I kept saying "leave howard alone!" lol was he kinda arrogant and little smug? Yeah a little. But he was also a good person on the inside and was EXTREMELY patient. Poor Howard 😔

Cinnabon Regional Manager. Lol Jimmy is thinking, "He is always over me no matter where I go." I became the pastor of a church in Central PA back in late 16. So the Eagles win the SB and I came to church the next Sunday to cheer with the folks. They didn't care at all because, "this is Steeler Country Pastor". They would say you can only have one team.

Howard's death was shocking and it was done quite well. Point and Shoot might have been the best episode of the show. And I'm not experienced enough as a writer, but part of me wanted Jimmy and Kim to have more to do in the end. It kind of felt like they were sidelined for Gus and Lalo's confrontation. I would have loved a dialogue heavy scene with Howard and Lalo where Howard tries to plead for his life or throw Jimmy and Kim under the bus. Like I said, I'm not a writer of the show and I was pleased with the overall product, however it would have been cool to see the drug and lawyer sides of the show blend together a little more than it did.
