That's definitely a beard. It's not the stubble from SCP. It's not drawn-on like in CK. It's an actual beard. They said it couldn't be done. And they were wrong. Also the video is very cool and impressive. I'll give you a 50-50 split on impressiveness between your CG achievements and your beard.

I am always constantly impressed with how much you’ve grown (and continue to grow) in your art. It’s easy to take videos and sketches for granted. These “behind the scenes” videos really give me a better appreciation for the hard work and sheer cleverness behind the things you do.

A phone will totally work! The Phasmophobia scans were done with a Google pixel, and are perfectly serviceable from a distance. Camera quality will really only affect resolution, and consequently how prominent the digital double can be, but it'll still be usable.

For the longest time, I have been fooled by 3D models and never noticed. All thanks to the skill Kyle has been improving on and being modest enough not to boast about it until long after the fact. Keep up the amazing work!

Super interesting! I'm a 3D modeller but my main area of expertise is totally the opposite end of things (boring-ass realistic furniture optimised for VR booo), so this is fascinating! I'm especially impressed how well you matched the lighting in both example scenes you showed.
