Yeah it should have been recast. They made it work with just her in the second but now going into the third and you’re still not going to see him. Makes no sense that he would miss every family event on “business”

Yes!! Totally agree with Lucien!! I’ve been saying it since season 2. When I saw how out of place Daphne fealt in some scenes. Along with the fact that there did seem to be a storyline building up to some issues with the Dukes holdings

Why are we constantly criticising Rege Jean Page for not coming back. Maybe he wants to do other stuff, and not get type cast as one type of actor. The fact this video had a full narrative from John Boyega making a joke about wanting that Bridgerton money is so funny 😂.

These guys don’t look alike, they are just mixed race, multi racial guys. 😂 Lucian (Alfie) and Alfred (Wes) are British so it may help since they won’t have to have an issue with potential bad accents.

Hum? I can't believe that there are people that still don't know that Rege' Jean Page was only scheduled for the 1 season. Not because he requested but because that's how the show was setup. From what I've read, the Duke does not play any significant part in the storyline past his and Daphne's book. He does pop in now and then but he is not a main character. They could not tie up Rege' Jean Page like that because he is a very busy actor. It's more then about looks. It's about attitude, swagger and the quality of acting he gave. Rege' Jean Page was the Duke pure and simple. They can try to bring someone else in, but will it work? Especially since now the actress that plays Daphne has left too.

My votes are Lucien or Aldis. John Boyega would be a great choice for a subsequent character but not as Simon.

I didn't really like the actor for the Duke, he's actually the reason why I didn't enjoy or watch season 1.. I only really got into bridgerton after queen charlottle and then I loved season 2😊 and can't wait for season 3.. I love Polin
