The channel used to be Great American Country which aired country music videos 24/7. I can’t watch a channel that took my favorite music genre of videos away. CMT doesn’t have as many hours of country music videos as GAC did.
It’s the Hallmark movies that got me through the pandemic. I am sad to hear this news. I could not watch the news on a daily basis. I could always fall back to Hallmark movies

Hallmark format is changing and moving to same sex relationships . Slowly but it is goi in that direction from what I see. I have been watching Hallmark channel for many years but just recently I’m see a subtle change in this direction . Hallmark channel use to be a very wholesome and a channel where your family can watch with out compromise morals . But just lately this channel is changing. My guess it is for this reason “ I’m assuming “

Since I am not able to get GAC movies. I won't be seeing anything they're in. I will miss all of them as I think they're all amazing actors and actresses. But I am lucky I still have hallmark and I do watch it. And I like the different movies I like seeing which angles they go at I may not always agree with them but it's interesting to watch. I wish everybody that goes with GAC all the luck in the world. I will miss watching them
I have never been so disappointed in a television station in my life! It seems as though ALL of my favorite actors are leaving...they were like family and so was Hallmark! I have been watching all of the Hallmark stations for many years and I dearly loved them! However, I literally don't know HOW I will pass my time now! I am disabled and watch a tremendous amount of television; a lot of Hallmark or I should say I DID watch Hallmark! I DO NOT like this NEW Hallmark!!! I am sickened by most of the new shows and don't like most of the new actors! Maybe it will improve; here is hoping! Danika Keller or McKeller has a new movie coming out next week! I am hoping they will have many more movies and stop playing the old comedies! But, I am very glad that I have it!
I also am done with Hallmark. Their trying to force us to watch things not comfortable with. GAC will be my channel now. Hallmark is also making us pay for shows we use to get free. See it once when aired but if you want to watch it anytime now you have to pay.
Candace Cameron and the Teagarden series is the best. I’d watch some other movies but Candace’s movies are the only ones I made sure to watch. I’ll miss her.

So sad to hear this news. Hallmark movies got me through the pandemic. I couldn’t watch the 24/7 news as my anxieties increased to unhealthy levels. Hallmark channels rescued me. I haven’t been watching as much lately but didn’t really put together exactly why, but this explains it all. I’ll be looking for GAC network, hope they are as good as Hallmark was.

@@dorinhalubacheski6704 Hi, not sure if I’m the best person to try to answer you, but many of the long time actors have left Hallmark channels. That saddens a lot of long time viewers. I don’t know too much about the GAC Network, but many Hallmark actors are now going to be doing movies on that network, so people are looking forward to watching some of their favorite actors again. Hope that helps you figure things out just a bit.

@@dorinhalubacheski6704 Great American Family, Lifetime, Hallmark, UPtv and others cover many of the same niches and genres. The existence of competitors doesn't mean Hallmark is dying. I find some of the comments here funny. Actors don't stay with the same company or network forever. They go wherever the money is, or where they feel creatively better. It also means newer and younger faces coming into Hallmark as well, which is a good thing because you can't just have a small group of stars hogging all the roles and opportunities.

I also noticed the change in Hallmark. I don't like the direction that they were going either. They were great wholesome movies and love watching them during the Christmas season. I have watched less too when I saw a change. Glad to see the other actors have gone to a different channel and I will check out the other channel as well.

@@lesliegulmayo3034 I find no problem with Hallmark movies. I like the new direction they are going with the movies. The ones on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries have been really good. Sad that people equate adding LGBTQ+ and mixed race cast makes people clutch their pearls. I just think it reflects our society now and friends and families. It's not like in these movies are adding sex or more than a few kisses....can't believe in 2022 this is still an issue.
None of the actors listed, I prefer to see different varieties of people not just one color or religion. I will just watch regular Hallmark not the GAF.

The comments here baffle me. Did y’all stop watching cause they added more people of color, interracial relationships or gay people? I’m just curious which it is. I, for one at happy that they are finally featuring interracial couples, people of color in MAIN roles and not just the sassy side kick. Representation matters. Y’all keep saying they got WOKE, I’m just curious as to the aspect of wokeness y’all don’t like. Also stop blaming yalls “isms” on God. As a Christian y’all should strive to be more like Him and from what I have seen and been taught, God is about love and acceptance. Ye without sin cast the first stone. Last I checked all of humanity has sinned in one way or another. None of us are infallible. So to say y’all stoped watching cause they drifted away from God, take a look in the mirror, y’all are the reasons people stray away from Christianity. That being said, the actors on this list will be greatly missed on Hallmark and I am glad they found somewhere to go.
I agree with you. From reading the comments, I guess it's all three. Apparently "Hallmark wholesome" means, no people of any color, interracial relationships, or gay people. Who knew that so many so-called Christians could get so pissed off for a channel that would dare to show love and inclusion to everybody. I guess that "love thy neighbor" was only meant for if you were white and straight
I am so happy for GAC. Hallmark has really gone downhill in the last 2 years. Their choice of shows to keep, to cancel, and new movies/shows have not been great. IMHO.
So agree 💯💯💯 the only show I'll watch that's left on the Hallmark channel is "FRASIER"!!! Sometimes CHEERS & REBA if I can stay awake... Hallmark is just trash for movies, especially so called pathetic acting in dumbed down predictable romance movies...
There is nothing wrong with them changing to a station that promotes the same values as Hallmark used to promote and also gaining a lot more creative control in their careers. Actors are not bad people because they follow their conscience and advance in their skill set. GAC has been a breath of fresh air. No one who has a job doesn't want to advance and enjoy their work more. The changes have never been about including actors with a variety of races at all. Everyone would welcome that and that is true of GAC as well. It is about them wanting to produce work that aligns with their morality and that gives them more creative involvement. Hallmark gave little control to the actors at all.
Every time I put GAC on.. the only thing playing is Full House… I think Danica left because her series was canceled.. it’s Candace that got me tho. I wish we had gotten at least one more ATG before she left but I get it. Hallmark is moving in an entirely new direction.. that became obvious at the end of The Good Witch…
Well now I understand better why I am not attracted to the hallmark movies anymore. This past year, I did not really like the movies. I saw the list of the christmas movies for 2022, and I am not very into them this year. Maybe one or two but that' s it. For the Aurora Teagarden's serie, I am very sad ! I really loved this show !
Hallmark was my go-to safe channel and when they went WOKE and changed their moral standards and ideologies, I said Goodbye. I liked Candace and Lori. I don’t like what Lori did but I can forgive her.

I also always loved hallmark I still do watch but the moderate to conservative nature of the channel has disappeared As well as the family nature of the channel
I think Hallmark needs to up their game with the writers. The story lines are so obvious and tired. Not realistic at all. That being said i still watch the new ones when they come out. I think its good that they are being more inclusive with their cast and characters. Hopefully in the future it can be the norm and not such a hot topic. People need to realize that interracial couples and LGBTQ people are everywhere and a part of every society. The folks that watch Hallmark to live in a world where they don’t exist is just sad. Ill keep watching Hallmark and hope the writing gets better.

I have tried watching the newer movies and they are awful. The question is, why do people have a problem with clean, family movies? Must you tarnish all that is good? There is plenty of dark programming out there for you. It says most about those people.
So hallmark claims that they’re using less family oriented entertainment, and bringing diversity such as LGBT is because the audience complained about lack of lgb programming, which I think is bs. This days there isn’t a channel that doesn’t have LGBT references; even that GAC channel has that as well
The money is in traditional love stories. That's not their target audience. Cater to your targeted audience. If you don't like it, don't watch. You're in business to make money not to validate everyone's feelings and emotions.
Jen Lilley I will be sad to see go because she was a very good actress. I'm sad that she went to another Network. I am however not sad to see Candace Cameron go.
I love Jen Lilley. I will miss so many wonderful actors and I still don't like the Hallmark Station one solid year after I originally made my first post. I wish they had stayed true to what we all believed they stood for, wholesome good television. It was my escape from what the world has become!
When Hallmark started having unnecessary gay characters that made absolutely no sense whatsoever except just to have a gay character in a Hallmark movie to appease the leftists, i checked out from Hallmark. If the character made sense sure, but when it felt forced like all of a sudden out of the blue "oh you know me i like boys" just stupid.
FYI if Hallmark added diversity just to “appease the leftists” as you put it then they were doing it for the WRONG reasons you people are so funny you like to put labels on everybody that don’t agree with your narrowminded politics…..Hallmark should be DIVERSE and include people From ALL walks of life WHY? Agreed. They just stick the characters in to be included where they make no sense. It is honestly laughable. The characters do not go with the story line. It is akin to sticking a clown in the middle of an action movie, just because, just to include it, almost like an afterthought.
Abbott head of Hallmark & that channel had a falling out so left for GAC. Most stars followed plus many new ones. I get GAC. It's good but not as good as the original Hallmark. Very sad...Hallmark channel really gone down the tube.
I think it's good they shake things up a bit. Getting tired off watching same old Afters for last 10 or 15 years doing same type of movies over and over. Good to see new faces for a while.
I'll miss Candace and Danica. I watch the same old Hallmark Christimas movies year in and out on demand and I'm not interested in any new ones no matter who's starring in them. Last new ones I did see were terribly boring without much storyline. It's come to the point where Hallmark and the other channels have done these stories to death and there's not much new and fresh for the viewers.
I totally agree with you. Last Christmas my friends and I had an impromptu gripe session over the poor quality of the last few years of Hallmark Christmas movies. Last year they began showing the new movies at Halloween! They began to shoot out too many each year. We all found that we just watched the older ones and skipped the newer ones. Quantity is not quality.

Many people, myself included have become tired of the LGBT agenda Hallmark has written in to their story lines. GAC is Family driven with no LGBT agenda. The actors that left Hallmark chose this to be a part of this kind of storyline and values. Hallmark is great except when all of a sudden two guys are kissing in a show that some people don’t want to see. So- to each his own.

Most are leaving because Hallmark lost their way. I've been watching Hallmark movies and shows for over 50 years and this new crop of woke Hallmark movies does not align with the Hallmark brand for the past 50 years; sometimes change isn't a good thing and this is one of those times.
I agree, I stopped watching Hallmark movies when your original writer left and new ones took over. I don't think they had many original ideas of their own because for years most of the movies were the same plots, same dialogue, same everything, terrible movies except for a few that were different from all the others. I got so sick of cupcake themed shows along with other repetitive ones. I hope you can find some new writers and different scripts.

So all these actors are switching over to GAC, but GAC is not offered in most people's cable package, so are they making a mistake since they will have less viewers. GAC needs to offer their cable channel right next to Hallmarks. I will not pay $75 to see GAC and I don't think anyone else will either. GAC, get with the program (literally).

Why do actors believe their demands are paramount to the success of a film? I'd have fired Loughlin too! Hopefully the actors hired by GAC will do the job they're hired to do and leave their politics, orientation, and/or faith at home.
Dislike "token" characters. Feel demeaning to women, gays & minorities. Dont like political agendas shoved in my face. Have gay friends & family, doesnt bug me, FYI. Quit Hallmark couple years ago. Found better things to do other than watch TV.
Every Hallmark movie has either Mckeller, or Lacey Chabert. Casting the same actor for pretty much the same movie roles is a waste of time. Bring in new names.
Not enough movies on GAC to get upset about. Older shows as reruns. Only movies on the weekends, sometimes, and they are just rerunning them. I only have it as part of my cable deal. Otherwise, I wouldn't watch it. Need some new content. Hallmark is not going to stop running the movies these stars were in. I watch most of them weekly. Staying with Hallmark and their associated channels. I have purchased a lot of my favorite movies on Amazon or ebay just in case they do stop. Can find most on Hallmark Movies Now as well
Danicas best movie was the one shown. The nanny. Trevor wasn’t in that many Hallmark movies. Disappointed he left. The others Ho-hum. Lori decided her future by her actions.
I will really like to get GAC family channel added to my package. When I called they said I would have to change my whole package. I just couldn't because I would lose so many channels I watch. Maybe in the future we can get the channel added. Till then I will keep watching Hallmark and H &M.
Get Frndly streaming service it contains the GAC channels and the hallmark universe to plus Lifetime and many more I think it's still under $10 a month plus it's got DVR setup too. I've got hundreds of shows recorded from a bunch of channels.
I have not been able to GAC. But all that left had the best shows on Hallmark. I am retired and especially in winter watch a lot. It’s sort of like you get to know these people. Hallmark is for relaxing not to watch how wrong they think your thinking is or try to teach you a lesson. Can get that on any cable channel. Only show you talk to your friends about it like it’s family. Just about regular normal living.
I thought hallmark was supposed to be a family channel. When they started adding homosexuals to they’re content I was very disappointed. The last straw was the Christmas in July movie! I guess hallmark has gone woke, very sad.

I'm really bummed that my cable company hasn't gotten GAC yet so I now know they must be woke. If I switched companies, I would have to pay another $75/month. So I'm dealing with it.
