The cast of Willie Wonka still aren't over losing Gene Wilder. Why would they? He was so kind and everyone who had a heart had to be affected by the death of such a sweet man
I am so sad about Cameron Boyce passing . I to have the saim illness that took him from us ì have so mutch brain damige that ì can not spell good or act my age ì am 28 and ì act like a 13 year old 😦
I forgot what show I watched. Two of the characters were talking about death and the one who just lost someone said something about getting their life back to normal can never be the same (might be misquoting that). The one consoling her told her to find a new normal. It's true in some way. You're so used to having that someone in your life and now you look around and they're gone. Things won't be the same and life changes in life and death so you live on trying to live. Not sure if everyone will get this comment or not but just wanted to share my thoughts.
@@kateNwilson same Naya Rivera A woman died saving her child, her greatest success My mom had a cancer and maybe it will return They were so insensitive to him Same to naya, she died while drowning and they discovered what she had in her bag, making like she committed suicide or that there was something much more
Verhoeven1980 no and i dont need to ive seen there work and they where both brilliant. If u don’t understand what i wrote and why i wrote it don't comment. Think before you type.
This is really happens to my brother's girlfriend. Her mom died after 100 days of her daughter died. My brother not just lost a lover but also 2nd family for him tis is a sadness
@@williamgullett5911 uhhh...ok?? You do realize that it didn't say anything about accidental deaths right?? I think the only accidental death on here was Paul Walker's, all the others were natural causes or an overdose. I'm not sure what your point was🤔🤔🤔
@@williamgullett5911 No shit Sherlock! The title of the video is about actors who never recovered from the deaths of their costars, it didn't mention specific ways that they died. Can people not mourn over the death of someone who was so depressed and mentally ill and felt like they had no way out?? Your point was actually pretty pointless.
@Shawnee Scorpion I've heard it said that when married couples have been together for decades when one spouse passes the other goes not long after of a broken heart so yes I totally believe this of a mother and daughter. RIP

I couldn’t or would not believe Cameron Boyce death because there was a rumor he died when in fact he was alive but it’s sad because he was and still is my idol and the fact that I found out that he died was that I was on TikTok and still didn’t believe it when I looked it up and had a confirmation from the Boyce family themself Fly high Cameron Boyce we all love you
As I once heard Carrie Fisher say at one of her stand-up meet&greets: My Mother (Debbie Reynolds) would do anything to up-stage me. A comedienne even from beyond the grave she had a sly wit & humor; both, that is.
1COMIXMAN that’s what they say and experts say it’s medically possible. Her son had told media that she had told him that she had wanted to be with Carrie.
It's not a top tens list, it's also about the co-stars, not the actors, and there are probably hundreds of passed actors who could be on a list like this but looper doesn't do 2 hour-long plus videos. respect and love for every actor lost who left the family. friends, co-stars, and fans work to remember them by.
The fact that Naya Rivera died less than a week ago and shows up in the first 9 seconds of the video and was discovered on the exact 7 year anniversary of Cory Monteith's (the first actor in the video) death...
Losing Cameron is still crushing for those of us that had the honor of knowing and working with him. I miss him every day, and I know Dove and Debbie do too.
It was sosad I was soo worried for China. It hit her really hard and she couldn’t take the reality of it at all. That was her literal best friend since childhood.
@@kathkwilts Oh don’t worry I remembered even broke down in a Taco Bell when I first found out about his death but I cried for Puck not for Mark Sailing what led him to commit suicide was something I can’t look past which is why I didn’t include him
Luke Perry's deathly was handled so well in Riverdale. The episode where they mourned his (characters) death was so powerful as you knew as a viewer that it was but wasn't acting. It is not often an actor death can be mourned on screen in the show.
I agree, I think it was really well done. It was respectful and not over the top and they let the character die a hero as well, I was afraid it would be something gruesome in the show.
@Second First state then obvious. And it is not people don't care, it is that they don't know. Why? Because most people don't live their life for celebrities (who are generally unimportant in the grand scheme of things) But if you are watching something and something dramatic happens eg death of a main actor, then you do take note. Was I bothered by Carrie Fishers death? Well, surprised intrigued as to how they would continue her characters story, (not that I watch the last 3 Star Wars films - not interested). But not invested in as we can't care a bit every strangers death. So your comment is irrelevant as it sounds like you would mourn every death in the world. As people we think about deaths that have a personal impact, people we know, or feel we have some connection to. But my point still remains, it is not often an actors death is mourned on screen, because often they are not in a position to incorporate the death in to the storyline, and most often it is an eulogy note in the credits. When it is done it stands out for those who watch the show. So stop trying to make every sound soulless because I am sure you don't mourn every death, of every actor that has died during filming.
I lost two of my "co-stars" in life. My brother, and my father, who died within a year of each other, were also my workmates, as we ran a family business. Not seeing them every day, whether at work or at home, is something I still struggle with now, and I get by by looking after my mother and other brother, and being there in their grief.
Do you know what death of my loved ones taught me? Death is actually not the worst thing in the world. The worst thing is being left behind. In both my brother and father's cases, they died from disease, so there would be a time where their suffering would be over, hopefully with recovering, or else, death. One day, their suffering would end, one way or the other. But those left behind "die" each day, and I don't think I will get over the "pain" of their loss until the day I die. Still being here is sometimes more painful, but the remaining family members need me, so that gets me through.
I will never, ever, get over the death of Alan Rickman. I wasn't just a fan of his acting work, I was a fan of him as a person because by all accounts he was loving, generous, sweet, and kind. The world is a little poorer because he's not in it, and I can't help but still get weepy whenever anybody covers his legacy. I miss Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds too. I remember Debbie singing as Charlotte from Charlotte's Web. "How very special are we, for just a moment to be, part of life's eternal rhyme." May they all rest in peace. 😔
@@widowkeeper4739 There's nothing wrong grieving over a kind, caring person. Those are traits to admire, and copy. More people like that are needed in our society. Ignore the haters.
I so heartily agree with you about Alan Rickman. Even his voice still brings me to tears. First saw him in Truly,Madly,Deeply and he broke my heart. I still remember my daughter and I rushing out of the cinema because we had cried so much and the front of my T-shirt was all wet.
I cant even imagine the heartbreak billie lourd must have felt knowing her mom died and then her grandma the next day :( rip Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fischer
I honestly have no idea how David Spade handled Chris Farley's passing. They were a great team, and try as he might, Spade just couldn't quite make it as a solo. Too bad that one didn't make the list.
@@sarahpeterson9422 With a great followup by Black Sheep. No doubt their future was looking very bright. I think Joe Dirt was very much an expression of that loss - especially for Spade - which despite being funny in its own right was actually painful to watch.
@@craigore2011 To be honest, I didn't notice that in "Joe Dirt" but I wouldn't disregard it either. "Black Sheep" was a classic as well! You got great taste in movies so far!
@@sarahpeterson9422 for me it was almost impossible not to notice, the way Spade just seemed to be lashing out in that role. Kinda like the scrawny kid who lost the one big friend he could rely on to back him up and now has to make it on his own in a world full of bullies, abandoned and unwanted, holding out for a better life if he could just stay positive no matter how much S falls on him. Of course he did his best to play it off, but you could tell it was eating him.
Oh my... knowing about the current search for Naya Rivera is sad when the first one they talk about is Cory, as well as Mark Salling. :( pray for the glee cast and everyone’s families. Edit: God. And on the anniversary of Cory’s death? I just pray for the Glee cast and their families and friends. This is just heartbreaking. I love you Naya.
Gibby Cates I can say that’s true, but I think as time goes on we learn there never really gone, and learn it’s ok to be sad about it. I mean I lost two friends of mine a few years after we graduated high school. I do wish I had more time with them, but I know they’re still with me, and that’ll never change.
Found this in the trivia section of Rochelle Davis's IMDB page - After the death of Brandon Lee on the set of The Crow, she had to return to the set in order to film the scene in which Eric Draven says "Sarah, I do care." with a body double in the character of Draven, but did not appear in another film until 2009.
Tbh that's what hurt me the most. Jessie was something I really really enjoyed and loved. Cameron was my favorite there. And even in descendent he was who i watched. Jessie made me cry cause at the end there was so much character growth, that i felt the end. Now i can't even see Jessie or descendents without feeling sad. I used to dance the songs but now i don't feel it
"because you can't tell someone they love you" was the best quote from the whole franchise, but I think the mother said it right, because the next best thing about that series was that tribute and it made for me all those movies made for men into something that showed it WALKED THE WALK AND TALKED THE TALK AND WASN'T GOING TO FORGET ANYONE FROM THE PACK.
Alan and Carrie's deaths were both shockers when their deaths were announced in the News headlines. This is an accurate list. I know they're past our generation but you could've also included Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy.
EP114587 it’s inaccurate because of the co-stars did get over the tragedy of losing their friends. It just took them a while but eventually they got back on the horse. To say “they never recovered” is insulting.
My mom passed away August of 2019 a couple days before my birthday. The tribute episode of Riverdale for Luke Perry was very moving for me. I love what they did for him, it was beautiful, Archie's dad's funeral and the way they will fit into the story exactly how that character would have gone. I watched it at work with my best friend and I was sobbing the entire way through.
On Glee, the episode when Fin best up that guy and said “stay away from my future wife”....I bawled. I watched the show after he passed away. It was tough to watch knowing he passed away 💔😔
the way i started bawling when paul walker came up and his mother told vin that he had just lost his other half... i grew up with those movies and sometimes i just forget how much of an impact they had on my life, and that he's gone.
I can’t believe they didn’t include Philip Seymour Hoffman, or Robin Williams. Those two plus Heath Ledger and Alan Rickman are truly staggering losses. To have lost such acting talents is downright baffling. I’m glad Heath Ledger won that Oscar for Best Supporting Actor, he put his heart and soul into that character. It truly was a shame that we lost so much talent in such a short time Hoffman and Williams 2014, Rickman in 2016 and Ledger in 2008. Such a huge loss of talent in such a short time, they will be missed! 🥺😭
My heart still breaks for all of these actors. Especially Rickman, Ledger, Walker and Boyce. I broke down in tears just watching this. We miss you all.
I didn't know that Heath Ledger had that type of acting in him.. it was so brilliant. But out of everyone on the list.. two stood out that shouldn't have hit me as it did, but it did.. Paul Walker and Alan Rickman. Rickman because I really truly enjoyed his fantastic acting in everything he did. And Walker because he was a young father.
I so heartily agree with you about Alan Rickman. Even his voice still brings me to tears. First saw him in Truly,Madly,Deeply and he broke my heart. I still remember my daughter and I rushing out of the cinema because we had cried so much and the front of my T-shirt was all wet.
Alan Rickman, Carrie Fisher, Debbie Reynolds, Luke Perry, Paul Walker, Harold Ramis, Heath Ledger are all people who have touched me with their work. I am not as familiar with everyone on this list but God bless them all.
I remember the Thanksgiving episode of 8 Simple Rules, he never came home. It hurt me in a different way, not only growing up watching Ritter with my old man, but my father had just passed away just one earlier from liver failure and mild heart attack, on Thanksgiving. R.I.P Dad, Ritter, and everyone whose resting easier.
I was a fan of John Ritter's from an earlier series he'd starred in. It was so sad to hear of his death, before 8 Simple Rules had barely had a chance to establish a foothold in my country.
Dear Jacob Lynch, I a truly sorry if I sounded callous in any way. This story was trying to put everyone in the proper respects of honoring our lost loved ones, if not by COVID, then other ways i general. I also recently lost someone dear to me, my Aunt B (No she isn''t a fictional Aunt B, I just chose to use her initial to protect our families anonymity & help my family grieve peacefully & properly; they all know who I'm talking about) She died of cancer, & I have many neighbors also facing that same destructive C-word in their families lives; Hopefully there'll be a cure someday, but as they say, just take it one step @ a time, just like we all did for walking as babes.
4:42 , "When she passed away in December 2016, Hamill's view on the films changed" That's why he started doing more Joker voice overs and camoes and roles
The ØNLY one that I cried for was Chester Bennington:'( But for those others,im sorry for your loss, either way,we ALL matter, because I Do care when a light goes out in the sky.
How about Anton Yelchin? His death brought part of the Star Trek franchise to an end and I'm pretty sure his co-workers loved him dearly. I hope Paramount sued the pants off of Jeep.
His parents tried, but Jeep said they had issued a recall :( I don't know if it was ever found out if Anton knew or not. What a horrible way to die 😭😭 When I think of him, I remember the heartbreak in Odd Thomas.
Mark Hamill was disenfranchised with the new star wars because of how Disney was just trying to remake the original 3 and still didnt ever feel like star wars.
At least Heath's performance in "The Dark Knight" didn't go unnoticed, seeing as he had been posthumously awarded an Oscar I'd imagine that his father was the one who'd accepted the award on his behalf
Karl Smith His father and his older sister Kate accepted the award on his behalf. Then producers of that night’s Oscars didn’t put a time limit on their acceptance speech so they wouldn’t have to rush through it.
I like the story Rupert Grint told about Rickman, it shows how much he liked the kids. I guess Rupert drew a non-flattering picture of him and Rickman was standing behind him while he did it. When Rupert noticed he was there Rickman made him sign the picture and give it to him. He said he took it home and is quite fond if it lol
You really should have chosen Emma Thompson for Alan. They were lifelong friends. No disrespect to Daniel, but it was an incredible bond and working relationship
I was an extra in an 80"s movie with Bob. He seemed like a nice Guy. As a Cancer Advocate of 40 years, I pray that his family & friends find the strength to get through this painful time in their life. God bless.
RIP Paul Walker. That one hit home because I grew up as a young adult in that import scene and truly felt a part of the F&F family. I still get a little teary-eyed whenever "See You Again" comes on.
brocabeach I came here to say exactly this. Not to mention the fact that she is the ONLY actor to whom the phrase “Never Recovered” even remotely applies, as she was so destroyed by Brandon’s passing, she didn’t act again for 15 years.
Dean Martin was broken up over the murder of his co-star Sharon Tate, he nixed the fifth Matt Helm movie they were supposed to star in together. He never revisited the role again.
Severus Snape was my favorite character in Harry Potter, when I read deathly hallows part 2 and it said he was going to die I refused to see the last movie cuz I couldn't bear to see him die. Now that Alan Rickman is gone I cannot watch the entire Harry Potter series without feeling immense grief and pain. I might be a Gryffindor by definition but I am a true Severus Snape admirer.
@@hopemuniz4315 So you are telling this girl that in Prince Of Thieves, Alan takes pleasure in taking out Kevin Costner's Hood Heart out with a spoon b/c it'll hurt more? Also, that in Die Hard, he turns out to be a supposed TERRORIST that is nothing but a penny-antic, no-good, simple bank-robber of a Japanese national?? You are sick to suggest that to such an innocent mind!!!
Rip to everyone who lost their lifes in this video. I remember when I got into the Harry Potter book series, I hated the character Severus Snape because I thought he was a bad guy...But When I learned that he was actually a good guy, he was automatically my favorite character and when he died in the series, I was crying, but I learned that he died in real life... It was not a good time for me, I became really depressed, I had to remind myself that dying is part of life and that even though he is no longer walking this Earth, he will always be in the hearts of those who care about him.
I know this is for older audiences, but there's a great clip on RU-vid about how the death of Redd Foxx hit Della Reese during their time on Royal Family. It's poignant.
It must have been especially hard, since he had his heart attack on-set. Even harder when everyone thought he was joking at first, since one of this best-known bits from Sanford & Son was grabbing his chest and gasping, "Elizabeth, I'm coming to join you honey!"
idk if you have seen glee before but the character that Lea played got a Finn tattoo at the same place where Lea got her real tattoo so I think that could be why
Cameron Joyce's broke me down. All of the Descendants casts and Jessie cast and anyone who has ever seen him still can't get over it. I remember everyone thought Cameron and China was gonna get married. It was crazy
I remember randomly watching an episode of 8 Simple Rules, and it was this episode. I had seen a few episodes before. I was devistated when I a few years later relized that the actor him self had past away 😔
Thank you for making these compilations with respect and with CORRECT information. So many crappy channels on RU-vid try to do these sorts of videos and fail miserably. Yours are ALWAYS on point.
There were so many tragic passings that could have been mentioned. For example, when Bill Paxton died, his Twister co-star Helen Hunt and Big Love co-star Chloe Sevingy wrote such moving tributes and do so every year. Also, Anton Yelchin's death affected his co-stars of Star Trek.
@smack talker Skywalker Yup Tombstone too! and good friends with Co-star Michael Biehn. Who misses his good friend Bill. R.I.P. William Paxton (May 17, 1955 - February 25, 2017)
I was still pretty young when Ledger passed away. But growing up he was my favorite actor and I will live my entire life with him as my #1. I wish he was still around because who knows what great movies he would have been in.
@@aaronhumphrey2009 I still remember Steve Martin's monologue for his guest appearance on SNL that night. It was hard not to blame him for being upset. And yet he was still able to crack a joke.
Even almost 7 years later, I can still remember where I was and what I was doing when I heard that Cory passed away... It almost feels like the memory was happening to someone else and I'm watching it from the outside. That was my first big brush with mortality (Before that I'd only experienced the loss of pets, not people) and so it had a really big effect on my 18-year-old self...
Both Cory and Cameron were just to young. Especially Cameron, only 20, but so much more mature and put together than I could ever hope to be when I’m 20. They both were treasures and will be missed.
