I've feared this, even as a little girl I always feared these days and I love the ending where you tell us the story of the little girl... I wamt to wait for that grace & strength that The Spirit gave Stephen. What a great job you do teaching us the Word, Pastor. May God continue to bless this ministry & this channel. Cheers from North Texas.
I've always been a bit resistant to the verses about persecution, not because I don't believe they are true, but that I often see Christians in the west who claim to be persecuted and I look at people in China and many other countries that are being imprisoned and killed for the faith and it feels incongruous. But it is wrong of me to do so, because the Bible is accurate. Even if we are not facing persecution, we are always facing challenges to do what is right when we are tempted to keep our heads down. We are blessed that the worst most of us would currently get is some mockery. And things could change very quickly.
This is genius. Everything about how God always related the physical to the spiritual. It's truly things like this that make the Bible undeniable. It really is a shame more people don't consider it.
Thank you for such a blessed sermon. The Holy Spirit led speech by Stephen gave me chills. Loved the lesson today, I'm learning so much from the Book of Acts.
