Read the torah

The Holy Spirit can not be bought with money it is given freely by the LORD with faith in Him. Do not think what you will speak to the LORD for the Holy Spitit will speak through you. Do not refuse the Holy Spirit to speak, what so ever it may be, it is done.

Paul gives a background for us, as beleivers for what we need to stand, to put it bluntly without the armour of GOD, you are an exposed Christian, you are a weak Christian, without the armour of GOD you are living an exposed life. Without GOD'S power we will not be able to stand and resist the enemy's schemes. We are not fighting against other humans, the person is not the problem, your wife is not the problem, your husband is not the problem. There is an invisible enemy who stalks and looks for any opportunity to invade the lives of human beings. Your manager is not the problem, there is an invisible enemy who is trying to push you and harass you. You cannot live an ignore the reality of the devil. GOD intentionally put information in the Holy Bible to inform you about Satan and his army but you hear Christians say I pay no attention to the devil some even claim they don't believe there's a devil. This isn't what the Holy Bible tells us, 1st Peter chapter 5 verse 8 Be sober be vigilant because your adversary the devil as a rouring lion walketh about seeking whom he may devour. The Holy Bible tells us there is a real devil, not a concept, not an idea, not a theological construct of evil, no the Holy Bible tells us that there is a real devil. It was a very real devil whom He cast out of heaven like lightning with a third of the angels. It was a real devil that came to Eve in the garden, it was a real devil that temped Jesus in the wilderness and it is the same devil who is after you and everything you love. The Holy Bible tells that he commands a army of principalitys and powers that are highly organized and well oiled. They operate in the heavenly, he has control over an unseen host of satanic forces, that are after you. You cannot believe in light and not believe in darkness. You cannot believe in GOD of the Holy Bible and not beleive there is a devil. You cannot believe in the Holy Spirit and not believe there are no demon spirits. The Holy Bible tells there is a real GOD and also tells you there is a real devil. GOD has instructed how you are to deal with the devil in the book of Ephesians chapter 6 versus 12 to 20 . Ephesians 6:12-20 12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; 19And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. I would also like to remind you that we are living in evil days, that necessitates us needing the armour of GOD. We shouldn't think that the devils days are yet to come, they are here you must be able to stand. Can you stand? The test will come when all the demons from hell attack you. Will you stand and can you stand? The only way to be able to stand is by putting on the whole armour of GOD. The Holy Bible tells us that the devil comes to exclusively do three things; to steal, kill and to destroy. We must not allow him to do so. When studying Spiritual warfare there is no better section of the Holy Bible than Ephesians chapter six, where we are instructed to put on the six peices of Spiritual armour GOD has given us, from those six peices of armour the only weapon listed is the sword of the Spirit which is the word of GOD, however today we come to another weapon that is just as powerful and maybe even more powerful in certain situations the weapon of prayer most beleivers don't veiw prayer as a weapon, this maybe because Paul doesn't allign it to a peice of weaponry like he did the six other elements of the armour of GOD this was not because the Roman soldier did not have any other weapons they did besides the sword they did they also had spears, bow&arrows, battering rams and catapults but Paul does not compare any of these to prayer because none of them can even come close to the power precision and effectiveness of the weapon of prayer. So since Paul doesn't describe prayer used as weaponry it can be described as our secret weapon. This is why Paul says in SECOND CORINTHIANS 10:4FOR THE WEAPONS OF OUR WARFARE ARE NOT CARNAL BUT MIGHTY IN GOD FOR PULLING DOWN STRONGHOLDS in this verse the weapon he is referring to is prayer. None of the other peices of the armour of GOD was described the same way as prayer is described, as MIGHTY, meaning that prayer is the ultimate weapon for a beleiver. @@J.Ray1776 Thank you for your comment. This was so long ago that I can't even remember why I asked the question but after rereading the passage I think I got the "they" in vs 15 mixed up with the people of Samaria and thinking that the "they" were Peter and John which didn't compute in my brain. As usual my brain comprehends two meanings and I always get the wrong meaning first. Think that's what happened here.
