Nobody talks about the only boy ( the boy with the ball ) who stayed in the water to help the two kids to get out of the water ?, I’m sure he got scare too and still he stayed to help them
The way everyone went from happy to scared so quickly should remind everyone that tomorrow may not be promised.... that being said I'm glad everyone was safe in the pool.
I would have thought being in the pool was the *SAFEST place to be in an earthquake* Most cushioned from impacts etc Screwed if something collapses on top of you I suppose 'tho
Yep .... they are not that used to bikinis, and showing their body, this is good especially when they are little girls, 👀 You never know what despicable beings are watching you.
@@biswajitbiswas3089 nonsense, saying the created thing is the creator is irrational, because by saying that, you preclude that it had to pre exit before it made it self, which is just purely illogical. There is only one omniscient omnipotent being. Who exists from eternity to eternity he hath no beginning and he hath no end. And you don’t know him because you refuse to accept the testimony of his only begotten son, so you would rather credit his genius to something impersonal. Something that doesn’t tell you, thou shall not lie, thou shall not steal, thou shall not fornicate and so on. be reconciled with God today through faith in his son. Repent of your wicked deeds and call on the name of Jesus Christ
This must have been the one my cousin was talking about. He lives in la and said he was driving while it happened. He said it felt like if a bunch of semis were driving right by him and everything was waving and rocking
That man with the yellow ball in his shirt was an angel. After he stayed with the young boy (who I initially thought might be his son until I rewatched the video*) and made sure he made it out of the pool safely, he immediately turns back to face the pool and begins scanning to make sure no one else was still caught in the turbulent waters and unable to get out. We see him again at the very end of the video with the yellow ball in his hand as he walks thru the covered seating area. He is alone. *This young man was not with the young woman and her son. However, instead of getting out of the pool and fleeing to safety, this young man stayed in to help the boy get out. This is the selfless act that is the essence of goodness.
Rule number one when drowning. You cannot save another life if you are also drowning. Thank you for the courage to still record. This serves as a reminder to people to still watch out and be careful. A lot of people died that day in that province. May they rest in peace.
I am so sorry if this has happened to you or anybody reading my comment, just remember stay by each other and love one another there’s nothing stopping us from making our life easy and tidy just take care, love you all❤️❤️❤️
Or you could cheer the mood mood son. Gosh, danger of drowning there. Christ that's scary. IF WE DON'T LAUGH WE CRY. NO INBETWEEN. Bob Hope; When earthquakes strike I just jump on a helicopter and say; FOLLOW THAT CITY! On one occasion I stayed in bed for a few days and ended up with 3 different postcodes. ❤😢❤😢❤😢❤😢❤😖😭; a one-a and a two-a and a goodbye to you-a 🫡😊
I've witnessed a few earthquakes during the four years I spent in Taiwan. Also, some Typhoons one cut off access to a hillside village. Nature can be tough sometimes. Glad everyone got out of the pool OK.
Sorb Dimer someone can easily drown with that motion. Especially a child, it was better they got out than sit in the pool. I get what you mean tho it could have been something fun 😂
Guys...why would you go underneath a metal structure when there is an earthquake?!?!? Stay in the open away from potential falling structures!! Was nervous watching this thinking they were gonna get crushed!! Geesh
Something similiar happened to me on holiday in Palm Springs, California a long time ago. I was at the hotel pool. It was about half the size of the one in this video. I decided to enter the pool by diving head first into the deep end. As I surfaced to get a breath, I noticed the panicked look of people around the pool and them jumping to their feet. Just then, all the water in the pool, with me included, shifted 3 feet to the other length of the pool. This caused about 10% of the total water in the pool to overlap the pool onto the concrete deck. All of the people around the pool, about 20 in number, left the pool area and ran into various parts of the surrounding building. I quickly assessed an earthquake and decided my safest spot was to stay in the pool. The water sloshed back and forth for several minutes and returned to normal. It was a 4.0 earthquake. No damage except to several businesses who lost products broken when falling from shelving. I was please that I had kept my wits about me when others went into panic. However, I must admit, I never felt the shaking because I was weightless in water when it first struck.
@@Agraulos When I first dove into the pool, the earthquake started. I didn't feel it being weightless. When I surfaced to breathe, I noticed all the people acting strange. When the water started to slosh around, I was still able to tread water and keep my head above the waves created. It was like swimming in a moving ocean. So my head was only under water during my first dive into the pool. It was a scary situation at the time.
@@donneary7104 Tough call, if your close to the edge, that water shifting can slam you on the edge of the pool. I probably would stayed in the water as well.
If anyone ever does happen to find themselves in the incredibly slim chance that they are in an earthquake and also in a pool at the same time, get out immediately! All pools have various networks of underground piping that in the event of an earthquake could rupture and create a Delta P scenario where the water is sucked out into the lower pressure area of empty space opened up by the earthquake, it could be a crack the width of a quarter and it would suck you into it so hard they wouldn’t be able to pull you off of it without ripping you in half. And if there is enough water in the pool it could have enough suction to break all your bones and suck you through the crack like you were made of jello. I’d much rather die being hit in the head with ruble.
@@reddeadcharactercreations7884 oh, wow thanks for sharing! You should make this a main comment! There are a lot people saying they would've wanted to stay in the pool.
@@mr.mrs.j7599 because there is no proof if what he said is true whatsoever i dont believe what people say on social media when there is no proof wannabe experts know
@@NickyD Dawg, this is just standard physics. You have a low pressure zone and a high pressure zone, the HIGHER PRESSURE ZONE is going to want to vent into the LOWER pressure zone. I.E a huge area of space opening up from an earthquake and a several tens of thousands of gallons of water next to it in a pool, YES it will ABSOLUTELY suck you to the bottom and kill you, go look up "Delta P Scenario" Literally every commercial diver has to take a course on it where I live, you doughnut. Plenty of people die in pools from exactly this even without an earthquake happening, simply opening the drain at the bottom while someone is inside can and has killed plenty of people in the past. Before you make an idiot of yourself calling me a wannabe expert when I'm trying to give people safety tips, maybe you should do like 10 mins of research.
Solutes to the last man coming out last to make sure everyone made it out ok god bless him and I really hope everyone recovered healthy shit like this causes trauma of being in a pool now I can only say I feel for them mentally not physically I’ve never been in this situation before but I know earthquakes get real deadly
I lived in California for 18 yrs. Earthquakes are scary, especially for children. Seeing them run reminded me of my mom yelling, "No running around the pool, it's dangerous!!"
My cousin and I were sitting on the edge of a pool when tbe loma prieta earthquake happened. The water suddenly rose up out of the pool and splashed out on the other side.
Thank God all safe. My heart is sad that you had to go through this. Ty for the upload. Considering I don't live in a Earthquake prone area. I need to look at this as educational of what to do in the event I experience one.
Why are so many of you joking around and making light of something serious? An Earthquake is not funny, the aggressive water would have scared the hell out of me and people are talking like its some fun entertainment stunt. Things like this happen all the time and it can become so incredibly severe and dangerous. Imagine if it was worse, and the water was too powerful, if someone was drug under and tossed around and the video ended with scurrying and people attempting to retrieve the body of an innocent life.. And also - you don't need to hear it to see what's going on. :-/ Y'all are crazy..
Some of us have anxiety and have coping mechanisms that you might not agree with. When something scary happens to me and I get anxious, I always try to joke about the situation unless it's a medical emergency. I joke about because it makes me feel comfortable. I rather be mildly anxious and offend someone with my humor than be having an absolutely horrible anxiety attack.
That day was crazy for me lmao. It was my birthday and I just met my long distance boyfriend that day. When we went home which I live around Clark, I was with my friend laying down with her on her bed. Her bed started shaking and we thought it was my boyfriend messing around but we noticed the whole fucking house was shaking so we legit ran outside and I went after my boyfriend who was hold the door so we could go out.
A great example of what is called a seiche (Say-sh). It’s when an enclosed body of water like a lake or pond or swimming pool is disturbed by shaking in this case or can also be caused by high winds
Wow that's strong, and now 5 nights ago, a 5.7 magnitude earthquake hit the Philippines like on where I live usually, at night at 12:00 am, it was strong too, let's pray to god these won't happen again!
Oh that was spooky! Someone could have drowned with how the water was behaving. I'm glad everyone stayed relatively calm and looked out for one another.
A video of swimming pool in a strong quake is always a pretty cool video, really lets u see the power of it im sure its even more of a trip to see it in person
I'm from Pampanga, nasa loob kami ng chapel that time ng biglang lumindol.
Louviana x if you’re old enough to have a cell phone and the sense to pull it out and start recording you’re old enough to attempt to help lift the people out of the water.
Wow i watch this and i remember living through. A very bad hurricane in florida.very scarey.but i am here today because 2 people rescued me.so you see there truely r angels👼👼👼👼
I definitely appreciated that young man helping others and then turned around while he was still in the pool to see if anyone else needed help, proud parents of that young man he’d make a great EMT Doctor Nurse or search and rescue 😀😍😇
