I bought the men’s 8mm gold plated. Cost under 200 bones and I’ve had it 2 months! People compliment it and it add the perfect accent to my outfits!

Is there anything you do to take care of it?

@@luisorduno don’t wear it everywhere you go. Don’t wear it in the shower or while you sleep. Don’t wear it in the rain. Mine is holding up well and I usually wear it to work. Nice chains! And you don’t have to pay over 1,000 bucks for a full good.

I bought a 14k solid gold necklace in 2003 and its value today is up crazy. Also, I wear it every single day. Looks, ocean, wherever… doesn’t tarnish, doesn’t fade. That’s what I’d pay for. I got a Jaxxon chai recently for $100+- and it faded quick over the summer. Doesn’t look nice anymore.

Nothing "fake" about this chain, it's a precious metal (silver), plated with another precious metal (gold)... There's a difference between fake jewelry, and an affordable alternative... lol

​@@Meatstroker yea i had 2 my 1st started wearing out after a year Wich is a long time it lasted and then i bought the same exact gold jaxxon cuban link that lasted m a year and that 2nd one wore out after 5 months....meaning sometimes u migh end up getting bad batch ....my 1st one was a goof batch and the 2nd one was a bad batch....

Probably wearing it under the wrong conditions. Heavy sweat, chlorinated water or even cologne or lotion damages the finish. I have plated chains last indefinitely. Dont buy if you don't take care of them. Get a solid chain.

Bonded, plated, vermeil, etc are all different names for the same thing. The differences come down to how thick the layer of gold is but they're all in terms of microns which is thinner than a piece of hair

@datboi__ does that go for all 10k gold? I have a chain I've had for 25 years and it's still shines.

@@joemacs7114 no. if it's solid 10k it's solid and won't be plated. I've heard of some people saying they have 24k or 18k plated solid 10k but idk i've never seen that they might be misinformed or who knows people do weird stuff. but yeah solid gold no matter whether 10k, 14k, 18k, 22k, 24k will be the same forever because there is no top layer to rub off. I'm not sure why someone would make a 10k plated silver chain though tbh because it wouldn't be much more expensive at all to make it 14k plated

Bayam says they are legit 100% gold. I just bought one myself and I can’t wear gold plated or bonded jewelry. So far I’ve worn mines everyday and no rash.

Jaxon is very high quality Italian made. Harlem bling is cheap and affordable but lower quality

I have a moissanite cuban chain from harlem, the stones obviously shine. But the chain itself does feel cheap, it tangles extremely easy too but once it's on your neck you're fine and for the price, you're paying to shine. I personally wouldnt buy anything else except their moissanite pieces, and if possible save for real gold! Get you a piece that will last with you never having to worry :)

Yeah because you showered in it, wore it in salt water, and worked out. Not surprised it turned. You should get a solid chain it you are doing that.
