Thanks for the comment & feedback! More power is always a good thing, but I definitely love the overall “balance” that this car has. Let us know if you want to see the Si on the channel.
I think you and i are saying the exact same thing... Remember the old accord 2.0 turbo with the detuned type R engine would be perfect. 252 horsepower. There is no fun accord anymore. So they could drop that engine in an integra or the si... Because the integra type s is almost unattainable for many...
You should consider implementing a tune/type s intake conversion/suspension/type s shifter assembly bundle . It would be bonkers to have an honda/acura sanctioned upgrade like that. Depending on what's provided it would be 1-3k to make a "gs-r" integra. I'd pay that.
Thanks for the comment & detailed feedback! Yeah an OEM upgrade like that would be pretty sweet indeed! It’s pretty amazing the aftermarket support that’s currently out there though, lots of options.
@@Drive_Culture that's a fair point. There are definitely options out there to accomplish this. Once I've made peace with and prepared for the possible outcome of blowing up an engine, I'll try my take on the "gs-r" with my a spec tech manual. Thanks for reading and responding.
I like your reviews, lifetime Honda fanboy here, I think Acura did good overall with the Integra and its 5-door body style, but... its not any quieter than a civic hatch. More sound deadening material would go a long way in adding the expected refinement people expect from a premium brand. Lastly, while the 1.5T with the manual is great fun and relatively fuel efficient, it would be nice to see Acura offer a hybrid set up.
Wow! Thanks for the comment & feedback! Definitely hope you come back for more content. Yeah the new Civic Hybrid is coming out this year, would you like to see a review of that when it’s released?
Question the a spec is the only integra available with a 6 speed manual or a cvt . What is the split? Type s 100% manual only! Base. 100% cvt only! A spec percentage with manual? A spec percentage sold with cvt ?
Thanks for the comment. I’m not representing AHM on this channel, so I can’t comment on sales mix breakdown. What I can say is that the manual option has proved very popular!
Ultrasuede is great! Don’t change it 😅. If ventilated seats (and HUD/surround view) were an available package, I would pay $$$$$$$ to have that every single time.
Thanks for the comment and feedback! Congrats on that Apex Blue Integra! This is interesting because a lot of viewers come here to tell us they think the WRX is a better buy! Glad to hear a different perspective! 👍🏾
@@Drive_Culture WRX is a good car for those looking for power. I find the Acura more practical, comfortable interiors, better looking in and out (to me looks like a small TLX) and really good MPG. Maybe going Type S later.
Loving the new Integra. My only gripes would be the piano black center console, and I wish the rear had vents so my kid can be comfortable as we enjoy the weekend canyon runs during the summer.
Thanks for the comment & feedback! Yeah it’s been interesting to see all of the after-market options to cover or replace the piano black console. The vents in the back would be nice, but I sat back there with A/C set to “Auto LO” and it was pretty cold! 🥶
9:30 This is just hilarious and sad that Type S doesn't even get USB port for a Sous Vide'd & upscaled flagship Integra, rear port should be standard Even Civic has them lol
😮Bought the very first one from Markham Acura in Ontario Majestic Black with red interior and love it. Great on Gas 60 bucks a tank for 450 kms a tank. Beautiful
How's the 1.5t? I have an accord n hope I can still get one of these in the next 3 to 4 years. I hear the oil dilution is an issue but having the engine and knowing to do regular maintenance is everything
I have this trim - A-Spec Tech Pkg (Liquid Carbon Metallic with the Ebony Interior) I wanted the red interior but was afraid to get dirty. Wish it was leather like the rear seats.
Thanks for the comment & feedback! Nice man, when did you buy your car? Yeah the suede is probably a little harder to clean clean, how’s it with the Ebony suede?
This is becoming more the car I want. Sporty, manual hatchback. The room for back seat passengers is really nice. Obviously, it'd be nice with +20 or 30 hp, but a manual goes a long way to making a car sporty.
Thanks for the comment & detailed feedback! Yeah it’s a fun car, with a lot of great usability and features! Let us know if you pull the trigger on one!
If the A-spec came with the 2.0 turbo from the last gen accord, maybe a body kit, and wider tires... I think that would be a great option. It could distinguish the integra from the si a bit more as well... Or if you could get that engine in the civic si... The 1.5L has had reliability issues anyway. I know we have the type s... But that car is a real stretch for many. My suggestion could replace the old accord sport 2.0T., but better
Thanks for the comment & detailed feedback! The 1.5T has generally been pretty good in the Integra & Si, but I do know there have been oil dilution issues on other models, which seem to have been resolved. With that said, adding that engine & features would make the car more expensive… so I wonder if it would still be viewed as a great value in the segment.
I do wish they utilized the digital dash better and had more customization options for the gauges like on the Civic. But like, more than the Civic, lol.
Thanks for the comment! The A-Spec and Civic Touring digital gauges have the same functions. Now if you’re talking Type S vs Type R, then yes, there are some differences there.
I wish the heated steering wheel option, specifically the type would have red stitching like the Canadian model. Also the button on the left side of the dash, instead of the bulky switch on the steering wheel.
I've seen a lot of people complain on forums and on YT about Integra interior buzzing and rattles (which actually sound pretty bad/annoying), and dealerships seemingly aren't able to fix them. Is that something buyers should expect with the Integra, including the Type S, even though it's $50k+? This is happening with cars that have a few hundred and thousands of miles.
Thanks for the comment & feedback! I have an Integra Type S and no rattles so far, but my car only has 2k miles on it. Honestly, I drive a lot of modern cars (from a lot of brands & price points), and Integra doesn’t seem to stand out worst than any other car in its price range. Not making excuses because rattles can be annoying, but sometimes they come & go on cars just due to a change in temp. Obviously, if there’s a really bad dash rattle, then I think that’s where you have to see what a dealership might be able to do to fix it.
@@Drive_Culture Gotcha, thank you for the response. Trying to get a sense of whether I should be concerned about it, but if it's about the same as other new cars nowadays then I guess that's fair. Hoping to pick an ITS up soon and just came across this rattling thing from some other owners.
I say this beats the type s for me. Has all the gadgets and a reasonable price. Yes, it doesn't have the 2L T and all it's great additions for fun and performance, but losing the middle back seat, usb ports in the back, passanger seat electric adjuster, memory seats, and the fog lights is just a big step backwards. All that with a boost to 50 grand? Hell no. The type s is a great car fun wise but value wise it's a waste of money
Thanks for the comment & feedback! I get your opinion on the Type S not having the same features, but I wouldn’t say it’s a waste of money. Ultimately I bought mine because of the performance, which it delivers in spades and that in itself was worth the extra money for me!
