Great video and tune as always. There is something special about this compressor, to my ears it just makes things sound more real, you can also get some great perceived loudness without sounding overly crushed and unnatural. I think this is a gem.
Man the track really comes together when you unbypass. Very classy and useful compressor. I love when a comp works well on individual track as well as a bus/ master. Love it.
Thanks for this Yish. It's incredibly versatile as you say. I bought it after trying it out for 10 minutes. To my ears this is a new level for a software emulation of a compressor, meaning it sounds the closest I've heard to hardware - so far....
Also if you do trial it, it may take a bit of waffling about to get it to speak. Took me 3 days for it to yell at me. At first, it was meh, but each day, it gave a little bit more.
Thanks for this tutorial, Great track, I personally loved the way it was recorded and how warm it sounds naturally. Compressor is smooth but takes away from that natural warmth and color in my opinion. Thanks for this! Will still give it a try. Is this track available?
As far as the compressor, I still need more time with it. Took me a few days to get it to speak. I do prefer 1176(Nickel) on my vocals as of late, though it is still quite heavy on the cpu outside of Reaper
