Acute Rheumatic Fever (ARF) is the precursor to Rheumatic Heart Disease (RHD) but diagnosing ARF can be challenging. Our research team in Timor-Leste is working on developing a new blood test to detect ARF before it progresses to RHD. This video explains the process and benefits of participating in the study.
In collaboration with the Ministry of Health, National Hospital of Guido Valadares, Comoro Community Health Centre (CHC), and Health Post under Comoro CHC. The video is shown on TV screens in waiting rooms as part of the Acute Rheumatic Fever Diagnosis Collaborative Network (ARC) study, which is currently recruiting participants in Timor-Leste.
