Creative America claims to be a grassroots organization to represent independent artists and is airing this ad campaign linking intellectual property theft as the reason Americans are losing jobs.
the hardworking people who worked on this ad should be fairly compensated. This ad should be packed into DVD's and sold in BestBuys and Targets for $19.99
Stealing jobs?!? WTF?? if they pass this dumbass law people WILL lose jobs -.- and besides why even bother paying for internet if they are going to get rid of popular websites -.- like this one and facebook and so on. Get rid of justin bieber or miley cyrus, Sarah Palin, I don't think most of us will miss them.
The internet wont be the same if this bill passes. Yes jobs will be lost but not in the movie and music industries. Any internet related company will suffer. RU-vid will almost certainly lose a lot of its users, as will google, and even internet service providers after they block websites for copyright infringement, thats right isp's telling us what sites we can and cannot visit, people certainly cancel their service and jobs will be lost because of these douchebags.
@ChalgakillerBG No, its the rich executives of the companies the are the copyright holders that don't get their ferarris and multi million dollar profits, the musicians/actors/artists will continue to be underpaid and totally fucked over by members of the RIAA and MPAA. The real crime here is how little of a portion of the profits from the music and media you purchase goes to the actual artists. The real criminals are the media conglomerates behind these ads.
@Freestylegun They need that money. It's to keep their sites running and in case of an incredible loss of money. So no, they don't have too much money.
@mamaloney1 Exactly, the revenue is now greater than the loss. So Google makes money off RU-vid. By the way, it's normal to get ads on RU-vid. It's not that my browser isn't set up correctly, it's that Google is putting up ads. Simple!
well... good thing im british :D bu seriously, this is a terrible thing for 99% of the internet using population, its only a short step from this to making all forums completely public and sending in police whn smeone utters an anti-american phrase or posts something the government decides is illegal...
@mamaloney1 No it doesn't! It gains an immense profit from RU-vid! All those ads you see before and after a video are what Google does to earn twice the money they did when they didn't own RU-vid.
@mamaloney1 What are you talking about? Most people get ads unless they get some kind of program that hacks their browser or something. My browser is well configured.
@mamaloney1 Botnets and trojans? What are you talking about? RU-vid and Google block any ad that contains anything harmful. And anyways you're completely off subject!
