that " waa waaaa..." sound used in a million techno pop songs was an alert to me. The song is good, I didn't connect much like the songs from the previous album, but Melissa has such a beautiful voice !! She is one of the best metal singers.
First off: thanks for making that Ciamppa comment because I was thinking about that all the time. Also there was at least on shot where the drummer looked a bit like Aleister Black. Second, to me that's not really a metal song. It's a pop song with metal instrumentation (but still a pop composition), and that's what bothers me most about Ad Infinitum, especially when you see how heavy they can get at 2:00. I mean I don't mind Pop music necessarily, and if all of Pop was like this, I would listen much more to it than I do the stuff they do at the moment. Now it's only one song so far, but unless they get way more heavier on the rest of the album, I'll rather listen to Enemy Inside, Infected Rain or even Amaranthe.
@@APREACTS Yeah, but at least Amaranthe uses growls pretty consistently , and also I like Elise Ryd's clean vocals way more than Melissa's. And I think their music in general is way heavier than Ad Infinitum's. But I pretty much don't like Amaranthe at all, so that comparison completely stops there. I just think that talent-wise, Ad Infinitum would have all the ingredients to be an awesome melodic death metal band, but that's obviously not what they are interested in doing. So what you called evolution in your comment, unluckily goes in the complete different direction, as far as I am concerned.
