Adrian plays an 8-string Strandberg guitar, a signature model of Sarah Longfield. The 8-string guitar differs from the usual 6-string guitar by two more added thicker strings, extending the range of the instrument in a more bass direction for a heavier sound. A 12-string guitar is like a 6-string, only there are 6 pairs of strings tuned in unison or octave and used for fuller accompaniment sound. @LukasAlpha Drums You're wrong. With the same level of distortion, the lower the guitars are tuned, the heavier they sound. As for distortion, there are a lot of videos that you can watch on how to achieve a heavy sound and you will see - no one turns the gain "up to 11".

Ad Infinitum’s debut is fantastic and their second one is also fantastic. Melissa Bonny is a great metal singer and a beautiful person. She is super nice and always busy with cool stuff. Ad Infinitum was meant to be her personal project at first, when she was in Rage Of Light, but after she recruited the guys, the band became a normal band and her main outlet for her music expression. The band is basically multiethnic: Melissa is from Swiss, from a French speaking cantone, Adrian (guitars) and Nick (drums) are both from Germany I think and their first bassist was from Sweden. The current bassist, I am not sure. Lovebites, Ad Infinitum and Frozen Crown are my favorite “new” metal bands, with Lovebites my all time favorite metal band as of now. Greetings from Greece 🇬🇷

The “tip,tip,tip” is a technique called “tapping”, “finger tapping” or “ two handed tapping” it can be done on a bass guitar as well. The guitar brand called a Strandberg. It’s a Sara Longfield(guitarist) signature model. It’s recognizable from the colorful paint job that Sara herself did on her original signature model. I’m amazed at how well they replicated the paint job.

Mellissa Bonny is a freaking amazing singer and is the composer as well so yeah freaking talent oh yeah and growls and learned in 6 months and sounds like that no lessons in growling ever; Trained in Opera for standard 8 years.

Ad Infinitum is great, and Melissa Bonny is a stellar vocalist. You should check out some of her earlier stuff sometime, like Rage of Light's cover of Aqua's "Lollipop", which is where I first heard her. I'm not above admitting I clicked on that thumbnail because of how beautiful Melissa is, but as soon as she started to sing I was an instant fan. The masks started as more stylized plague doctor masks (a real thing, sort of primitive gas masks), but the newer ones are much more slimmed down. I think the older ones were pretty hard to play in? If you really want a dark fae feel, I'd recommend Blackbriar. They even do songs about supernatural stuff, like sirens and ghosts, and their singer, Zora, has nailed that dark fae quality.
