Excellent. I heard it in one go. A small request. Vodafone had those....during the WC.Great ad. Who was the creator and why did the company fail. In this episode you never touched upon any celebrity endorsements. Request make a podcast on that. Thanks for bringing Piyush Sir
Thanks a lot, Shantnu and team! There are some books you'd want to read over and over and wish the story never ends. Well, now I have a podcast too. Absolutely brilliant minds on the channel. Kudos team! :)
Rightly said.. nowadays its about reach and instant clicks.. but not engagement for lifetime.. none want that.. it needs branding.. like kuhl fan.. or hema malini aqua guard ad. It has lot to do with money behind it, high targets via that ad, and none looking at 5 or 10 yrs lens.
Shantanu's podcasts >>>>>>>>>>>> Shantanu's BSC products ❤❤ Shantanu shud shut down his sub standard, over priced products and do podcasting full time... Good for everyone.. including environment❤❤
You would be surprised to know that we the Bangladeshi people are also attached with these ads! As these indian channels are always streaming here! We were lucky to watch those fine era of advertising.
The abrubtion randomly breaks the chain of thoughts that I have while watching your episodes and documenting the conversions. Greatful for the free value you're bringing, but would you consider achieving the same thing(more likes and subscribers) using some other ideas that aren't as distractive?
Dear Mr . Shantanu .. kindly refrain from responding with the word correct . It’s very unbecoming of a host . When you respond so with that swift infliction it indicates you are approving the point made by the interviewee. He is the authority here . This not the first instance . You have a platform strive to set a good example. Validating an anecdote with , correct , would indicate you were present there with the narrator in that moment as a witness . Kindly allow the guest to speak they wander, digress permit them . I am aware of your accomplishment. Noteworthy indeed. The interview by Michael Parkinson on BBC , observe , learn , apply . It would make a world of difference . Remember we are here mostly for the guests. With some room they blossom . Regards .
You were talking about advertising that too with the Ad Legend and all you could think of is the boring way of interrupting and asking to subscribe your channel. Unsubscribed on that silly note 🤣
The purist...you can just listen to him endlessly. Masterclass in storytelling! And his wit....no hair on the head and you run Bombay Shaving Company...hilarious! Thanks for bringing this insightful conversation....
Love and respect to Piyush sir, he's a legend. I used to love and enjoy these podcasts until I never received my order from Bombay Shaving company. It's been over a month now and it's still in transit. Looks like my shaving blade and deo are on a World tour. 1. Bombay Shaving company has non-existent customer care. Once you order and they get your money, they forget about delivering the product. 2. The blatant callous behaviour. Lying through his smug face with a grin makes me hate this bald headed narcissist more every time I see him. 3. If he himself practiced an ounce of what he heard on his own podcasts, he would have the sense to treat his customers right. 4. The debacle they pulled with the front page ad leveraging the bullying of a kid, that's the new low. I wish Piyush sir would've never sat alongside this shamelessly lying sack of...
Dude, that interruption in between was very irritating. You can understand the likeability of a video by reading the view rates. It was just so irritating, it is hillarious that u did that
You've already asked once to like and subscribe, disrupting the flow once. For the love of god, please stop annoying & disrupting the viewing experience of the podcast. I've already liked & subscribed. Beyond a point, if I see this happening again, I will feel more compelled to unsubscribe.
I had never watched any of your videos before, but now I am a subscriber. Thanks to Sir Piyush Pandey, who has always been and will always be my inspiration. I loved each and every story he shared, and I’m grateful for the memorable 1.5 hours you made it Mr. Nayi ki Dukan. Thank you for making it so impactful!
Once I traveled from Vrindavan to Taj Mahal in tractor because I was curious and had that kida I took lift for him & had good conversations on the way to Taj Mahal 😅❤
When he talks about data he is talking about Tangibles(Objective) and when he talks about human emotions and experience he is talking about intangibles (subjective). From his perspective today's marketers are number driven scientific in its core and earlier it was Human experience and interpersonal network driven and hence very artistic in its core...,!!! Imagine an Amalgamation of both approaches, to briefly explain where you put both Artistic and scientific at the extremes of a scale and then make a conscious effort to meet in the middle....what Brilliant Marketing would emerge out of it !!!!
In this comment section every one is just criticising the host but it's more of a discussion he also has so much experience, he worked for the top management firm and doing great in his startup too, if he is interrupting and the guest is happy then who we are to criticize. We should appreciate him for the fact that he is able to get these legends on his platform for us for free.❤ I have lots of respect for shantanu❤
the start convo regarding Naai just hit so hard all of a sudden. In Eastern UP Naai played the role of rishte wale but also they are one of the few people who are with the family in all events from weddings to death ie Tervi/Mayyat. Naai also evolved into caste groups who are to be taken care of by the wealthy so during any event the 1st recipient of all the daan/dakshina used to be the Naai family. Even modern day Naai are 1 such profession who is inside your personal space and has to enter into some chatter and force a conversation in. The music/movies playing in the background have also gotten a cult status in pop world. Now with premiumisation of the industry the appearance has become formal like a brand name of salons and a uniform like tshirt etc but the essence of gossip/chatter is still the same as people show up to fix their insecurities every month - the beard should be exactly dense and hairlines sharply defended. Loyalty towards your barber is also sacred lol
+ 6:27 engagement is d key 2 any kind of communication 14:59 the success is not in d numbers, d success is wn mera nayi mujse puche sir fevicol ka nxt ad kab banarahe ho + 18:14 Traveling in 2nd class train for 48h, u c real India 21:09 my marks
Point that I want to correct you mentioned 7k student appear for hotel management but the actual number is around 30-40k maybe 50k approx I appeared in 2017 that time it was 40k approx
The clip of the Cadbury ad is from the original ad which is titled here as...for T-20. The original ad was from the time when there were no T-20s. I guess the editor is a Gen Z.
57:26 there is a huge survival bias in this. How many people do you get to interact with whose parents left them on their own and things didn't go well? a lot end up disabled physically & mentally. Solution to the problems of modern parenting is not old style parenting.
Thanks so much for the video... its ammazzing to see THE MAN behind the best of the ad films (those which taught me 'sense of humor'). I wish there had been the inserts of short clips of the actual ad films. Great work Shantanu! you are awessom!

@@lakiShi-q8r the print ad they made on the teenage girl with facial hair. And their advertising leaps in general haven’t been too great and have always gotten criticism.

That's Indian Advertising's foremost Storyteller playing on the frontfoot with his legendary wit against the debutant bowling machine of an entrepreneur.
Hi shantanu ji Sorry to hear that your closing your business....!!! It is very unfortunate to see founder like Shantanu Deshpande and Mr Rohit give up so early...... The above news i got from your customers support team they said you don't have fresh beard oil (only have products which are manufactured in 2022) and we will refund your money as we don't have fresh stock of beard oil, and this is not happened first time earlier i had same experience with Hair Wax ( for that i got my refund also) in case of hair wax i can understand but if your team said you don't have fresh stock of beard oil also it is difficult to digest the things. Final conclusion is that there is two possibilities ...... 1) Now you don't want to give products on above discounted rate (and if you willing to give that near expiry prodct Mfg dt.2022) Or 2) Really you are going to shutdown your company i.e. Bombay shaving co. Thats whay you stopped the production of oil and wax.
Thank you so much sir 😊 One of the finest podcasts on the internet today. I wish ye video thoda aur lamba hota...... would love to see more such videos on advertising and marketing ❤
Lovely. There has to be a part 2 with Mr. Piyush Pandey. This one was slightly below expectations purely because the man doesn't do many interviews and every word spoken by him is Gold. Entrepreneurs definitely need to listen to more of him, this much is not enough, it feels incomplete.
