Getting in to 40k was no accident! Really it all began at school when a friend of mine brought in his 40k Rule Book and I was inspired by what I saw! I've been into the wargames hobby in general now for years and really enjoy it! I guess the good thing about wargames is the fact you can fight it out with your opponent on the wargames table without the worry of personal injury to yourself - well most of the time anyway! (I'm not exactly a body builder size wise)!

What a game, a very strong narrative fueled match-up. The brutal grind of the game was perfect for the Iron Warriors and their background with siege warfare. Absolutely brilliant conversion work from James... the theme behind his army was so so strong. Fantastic game, always a treat to see James on the channel. Thanks guys

Fantastic battle! So much dakka! I don't think I've ever seen that many autocannons in one battle. Also the terrain and the Iron Warriors army were an absolute treat to behold.

Wow that was a brutal dakka fest. So many bullets fired, the shell casings must be knee deep around the iron warrior position.lol Good job Luke kept moving forward as admech tend to forget about moving up. That knight worked so hard in this game(Although perhaps a paladin rather than an errant would've been a better idea as more shots and superior range) Gloria mechanicum.

I'm not much of a mathhammer guy, so I don't know how the numbers work out, but do you think charging the Vanguard into the Demon Prince before Cawl attacked would have made a difference due to Rad Saturation and some extra (albeit weak) attacks?

It's more than likely they would have made a difference.

If he had charged the vanguard it would have been 4's to wound with his axe. could have made the diffrence.

Max maassen they remembered afterwards. But they didn't make a difference by themselves, the lower toughness would have been enough.

A solid game, guys. Not sure why you'd waste Autocannon and Heavy Bolter fire on the dunecrawlers when you could've removed the majority if not all the admech troops though

Beautiful armies and a great board. The board itself doesnt appear very modular, is it possible to change it around or is it permanently a ruined city fight with the buildings in the same configuration?

You cannot target rapier crews unless they are closest, they also lack the character keyword so snipers also don't work against them.

Does Cawl’s Mechadendrite Hive attack before or after the opponent? I thought it was before. That could helped against the Prince.

What variant of Knight are you using? I'm not overly familiar with Knights and can't spot the difference between Errants, Crusaders and Paladins.

This game demonstrates why alternating unit activation is much more sensible. The determination of who gets the first turn can be too much of a factor.

Douglas Billiot he uses them alot if you look at his other videos. I think it worked out alright in this game considering they were the only thing with the range and volume of fire to rinse down some havocs. Surprisingly the knight preformed with excellency this game and provided all the antitank he needed. Why he takes rust stalkers is a better question...

I don't think you get to re-roll missed rolls of 3 with the Dunecrawlers near Cawl. They have minus one to hit modifier, but modifiers come after rerolls so when you do your rerolls, 3 would count as hits. You'd reroll 1s and 2s, and then removed the misses applying the modifier, so 1s, 2s, and 3s.

Caul ignores that. He re-rolls ALL ROLLS, not just failed rolls. You could re-roll 6's if you wanted to.

Even without that, Luke would have still re-rolled the 3s because on this channel they apply hit modifiers before re-rolls.
