Powerful! People must understand that this movement is more significant than coach Prime and Rick George. God did it! The biggest show on earth will be held at Colorado University!
I totally agree, bigger than Coach Prime and Rick George, bigger than College Football. This is about life and I believe we are in the midst of a most extraordinary, almost revolutionary sequence of events. By the time the season starts, this will be massive on all fronts.
What Mr. Rick George did was change the landscape of the University of Colorado forever.(1-11 wasnt going away no time soon) I applaud him for having the courage, the foresight, and tenacity to see in Coach Prime the "magnetic force" that he is. When he hired Coach, he gained everything Deion Sanders had to offer. It takes a man with vision and a desire so deep for the university to succeed that he didn't even care what the nay-sayers would say. Look! I grew up a Tennessee Vols fan. I live in Kansas city. I just purchased tickets, hotel and plane flight to the first home game against Nebraska.($2500) Welcome to the "Prime affect". Enjoy the ride
Man I wish....! It's on TV...HOWEVER.. Just to run on field after the game and jump into the crowd of students I will lose my mind. U know I'm 66 years old. It's for all the family to see grandpa "yell "
@@deerobinson557 I knew this was coming. Can't stand these people talking about this man this way huh? As soon as I saw the comment I came for the hater who would bring McCartney up in a potential situation! I feel Sad for people like you. There were so many things you could've said or mentioned in this great piece, and this is what you typed. Good luck
Lots don’t realize even when Deion was at Jackson state and thinking of going to a bigger school, lots of the bigger schools STILL kept denying him. This guy at Colorado said no. Let’s take the plunge LETS GET DEION IN HERE
Only thing is he is looking out for his sons first and foremost. If a good NFL opportunity comes up, he is gonna take it. Im a big prime-time fan but lets not be fooled, he is looking out for his family at the end of the day and there is nothing wrong with that. His goal is to get his sons and a few others that he has coached throughout the years to the NFL.
Except he's said explicitly he's not interested in coaching at the NFL level. He may move on to a new university at some point, but I doubt prime is a liar or trying to engage in misdirection. He may change his mind in the future, but as of right now I disagree. Now I also hope that prime and his process fall in love with boulder. If he wins a championship here and sustains a program, like he said, boulder sells itself and altitude is a wild training advantage. He may just stay here and win.
@@SealTeamSekc He said the same stuff at JSU then left ( " Gods Calling " ). He has made it clear that his priority is his sons and then himself. With Prime you gotta ignore his words and watch his actions. I said the same exact stuff you said, using almost the same words and he still left JSU. Prime is an elite athlete, you really think he is gonna stick with NCAA football over an opportunity in the NFL !!
When you have this kind of shared commitment and communication between your AD and Head Coach it makes everythng else work well. I'm in Seattle where the Mariners have this between their President of Baseball Operations and coach and the same is true for the Seahawks.
Hiring Coach Prime and the success of the football program will lead to several sport programs being reinstated at Colorado.....Why doesn't Colorado university have baseball? Baseball. The Colorado Buffaloes baseball team was discontinued after the 1980 season. Baseball, wrestling, men's and women's gymnastics, men's and women's swimming, and women's diving comprised the seven programs that were discontinued on June 11, 1980, due to budget cuts.
Was hoping for a bit more backstory here on how Rick George got the idea and how he initially started pursuing Coach Prime, but I gotta say, us fans who in conversations have been very critical of Rick, with coach after coach, the Tucker debacle (which now seems like we got lucky,) to the point where we thought any AD other than Rick could do this job better, we are eating our words now. Rick George looks like a frickin genius now and if it works out like we hope it will, he'll be remembered as the guy who saved CU football. And let's be clear, Coach Prime needs to stick around with the national title being the goal. At that point, if Coach Prime doesn't want to be a Sabin and move onto bigger things, say NFL, so be it, but please, please, get us there first!
This is coming a couple months late but i only just read your comment. In a recent radio interview, a couple weeks before thanksgiving, coach prime said, when asked by the interviewer, (i'm summarising) that he has no desire or the patience to coach in the NFL.
I have watched this video 10 times. When you can get through to coach prime as he did. Wow! The matching passion is so so amazing for the kids. From the "TOP".
I agree; Colorada has a bonified winner on their team. Expect to win, and that's what you will do. Perhaps one day, Coach prime will be the AD next. Coach Prime is married to COLORADA and he's fully committed.
I have to believe Rick George's job was on the line. He had to make a splash hire after Tucker and Dorrell. He had to swing for the fence and go out of the box of conventional coaches.
Watch the broncos and buffs go 1 and 2 in the nfl and in the NCAA.. title town USA doesn’t dissapoint.. time for football to be reinstated in the state of colorado!!
