I want to point out that Shibusawa isn't actually a pedo or anything like that. It can just be interpreted like that through mistranslations. But it annoys me whenever I see it because like uh...He's one of my favourites but still it's just really bad mischaracterization.
I don't think those were pure mistranslations, just misunderstood because of the way they were written. It was most likely written that way due to Shibusawa's obsession with Atsushi's ability. Unless I'm wrong.

Long rant!! Hey, so let's maybe not headcannon p3dophilia and r@pe with characters that it was never implied with. It is insanely weird, and honestly gross, that we headcannon things like that in the BSD fandom and fandoms in general. I understand Mori due to him being heavily implied a p3do with a few lines he has, (ex. "I prefer the women in my life to be under 12."). But, making Shibusawa a p3dophile who r@ped Atsushi is just... No... Shibusawa has an obsession over his ability, not Atsushi himself, it is easy to misunderstand that concept. But, it is clear the more you think about it. It is the exact same thing with Fyodor and Aya currently, on tiktok I have seen numerous videos of people shipping the two characters due to the protection Fyodor has over Aya in recent chapters (I don't read the manga, so I don't entirely know if that is 100% correct). His protection over Aya is most likely to just something he got due to him being in Bram's body, or something like that. Not to mention, Fyodor was NEVER implied to be a p3dophile. In general, I think as a community, we should just stop headcannoning a list of things that goes as follows; ❑ R@pe: - It isn't funny, or cute. It is actually insanely gross when it was never implied. ❑ P3dophilia: - Yet again, it isn't funny or cute. It is gross, especially with a character that had never shown any interest in children. ❑ S3xual As@ult: - Not funny or cute, gross if it was never implied to be cannon. ❑ S3lf H@rm/su!c!de: - With Dazai, I understand the su!c!de part, but there has been no evidence of him ever actually harming himself. Sure he has the bandages, but we have seen numerous time with the bandages off and no scars. Not to mention, Dazai says "I like su!c!de, but I don't like suffering or pain." Yeah I agree, i dont liek the shibusawa being a pedo/rapist thing. But in confused on what you mean with the whole "weve seen dazai without bandages multiple times" i only remember once where he had no bandageson his neck, and maybe the part where he doesnt have them on his elbow but weve never seen him fully without bandages but idk I could be wrong. But bones is also bad at adding scars to characters(and many other like people that draw characters that should have scars dont add them), but realistically dazai should have a scar on his face, under his eye, but he doesnt etc, so theres really no proof of him not having scars (even from getting hurt in the mafia). But i mean the sh theory isnt that far fetched considering he has many self destructive habits and like yeah he hates pain, but like yk when ur mentally ill and shit its kinda different. But yeah the fandom needs to chill sometimes with theories. Stop "headcanoning" characters as pedophiles. Shibusawa was absolutely NEVER implied to have any sort of sexual contact with Atsushi, let alone with ANY minor. Shibusawa is not a rapist, and Atsushi is not a victim of ANYONE in that way. I saw r@pe in the warnings and that kinda put me off.. I know the other warnings are somewhat related to Atsushi's angst/trauma (I think, I'm not entirely sure if he's a masochist? Regarding the Mori and Dazai "theory," Asagiri himself has confirmed their relationship did not have ANY sort of sexual connotations. It's so disgusting to see people misinterpret & "headcanon" such well written antagonists as predators. (Saying this AS a victim of sexual abuse.)

most of this video is good, great in fact, but making shibusawa a pword is just misunderstanding his character beyond my words can describe. this fandom really puts up a fight on making backstories with pword or gr00ming (in a romantic way) meanwhile the actual backstory isn't like that, AT ALL. shibusawa's character was supposed to show a disinterest in people in general, he doesn't like atsushi, he doesn't 'love' atsushi, he doesn't see him in that way. he only cares about his ability, and this burdens me because this video is good but the lack of compression over shibusawa and atsushi's situation hurts me. the whole point of that was to show just how cynical, bored of life, and just a really bored person shibusawa is, and that only abilities make up for that, he sees atsushi's ABILITY as a way of salvation since it's unique. this fandom truly gives me the chill, but overall, good video, only that, yeah. shibusawa ISN'T a pword. (edit : even if it's not a canon video, aka. no accurate reactions or related to canon whatsoever, this is still disgusting.)
