This song is not from Lara Fabian... The original music was by Tommaso Albinoni, an italian late baroque composer from 1700 first half, rediscovered in 1945 after a II World War bomb explosion by REMO GIAZOTTO, he recompose this piece in song form adding a text (the one Lara sing in italian)

Everyone gets affected by singers differently that's why this is not and it should never be a competition....... Every singer that has covered this song has done it magnificently the talent level with especially the three singers that covered this song is off the charts let's just appreciate the emotions and not turn this into a competition because you know who doesn't care, three singers that covered this song they don't they all have a huge fan base and they all are very passionate about what they do and let's just leave it at that so we can appreciate and keep things positive!!!!!!!

New terminology is being invented such as "Physicality" and "Physical Phenomenality " The borders of 'natural' and supernatural are now blurred . Floor is certainly very human but she has a natural bordering on supernatural gift from nature, To myself and many others this is self evident. We know the entire universe is composed of interactive energy waves or fields which can appear and vanish then reappear and even sometimes apparently reverse time. The phenomenon of entanglement implies that the universe is interconnected instantly across time and space. It is my personal opinion that only specific configurations of waves can transmit across all fields including the universal Higgs field. It is also my opinion that certain human beings have the ability to generate and transmit said waves. It is this gift of nature or super-nature that I think Floor Jansen has. She herself may not be fully aware of this. In other words I feel that when Floor sings, the universe listens, this I feel but cannot scientifically prove, as yet. So much more we need to understand about the universe, conscious energy, consciousness and life. I Think we have barley touched the tip of the Iceberg.

If we see 3% of universe, what is what we can't see. What if our knowledge today is 3% of available 100%... Someone may think these kind of theories are silly or insane but these may be the ones that push scientists to right direction. Or then she is norse goddess, atleast she named her daughter after one... One thing is absolute truth, i have too small brain to solve this...

I usually don`t comment. But here I have to. I am an old guy and Lara in her prime (and still to some extend today) is the most talented story teller of our time. I guess Floor agrees that what she is doing on vocal perfection combined with unmatched delivery of emotions is exceptional. To take one of her signature songs and make a cover like that takes balls, big balls. Taking up a song that has been delivered to perfection and not trying to immitate it but giving it your own note, your own touch, your own story is out of this world bravery. I think you won`t read it, Floor, and you, of course, must not care about what some old dude thinks about this performance, and you doesn`t need to prove anything anymore to no one. That said, for me seeing this video puts you in olymp of vocal story tellers on which Lara (for my own opinion) reigned supreme over 2 decades. I always assumed you to be on the same level but I never saw it, the way I felt it in this piece. Thank you, you made an old man very happy. There will be people coming whishing that you take up "Je suis malade", which is undoubtedly one of the most unbelievable pieces of music to be witnessed today. I don`t know how well you feel with french, which would be so important. However, if I could wish for one thing before my time on this planet ends, I would wish for your take on this timeless masterpiece. I am sure it also would bring me to tears just as this one did. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Floor for being Floor.

I've always considered Floor to be a brave singer in the best sense of the word. If a challenge is put in her way she will find a way to answer it and to do it with panache and beauty. There is probably no sound that Floor can physically make that she has not explored and made a determination as to whether it can add to her art... Just an old guy with his old guy type opinions. But thank you Floor, you do light up my life!

I don't comment much if at all, but American music awards and recognizing entities as the such are so biased. Proof of this is how her talent and talent of singers/bands of the like are not even on their radar. SHE IS SO F'N GOOD. Every time without fail. Damn straight. What outrages me even more is the sheer talent of singers like Minniva and Alina Lesnick having to using Patreon to get money while barely talented American singers like Cyrus and Spears are rolling in money. Floor is the Queen but the entire musical system is utterly screwed up.

The big American music awards have commercial success in the US as one of their main criteria. They don't even make it a secret. So for winning such an award you basically need to be a mainstream pop singer with catchy songs. That's how singers like Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish etc get so many awards (e.g. Grammys). There's really no need to be sad about not winning such an award... :) it's rather unlikely that a really high quality singer will ever win one

Not sure about the rest of the line up but Dimash is performing a couple songs during the weeklong celebration for Biden's inauguration. That will get him some recognition in the states. It's a small step but I'll take it. America's taste in music is appalling however. They love their pop and rap and their metal is shite (in general).

@@Roman-yt8up Interesting you mention Billie Eilish. She's actually not bad, but there is a Norwegian singer names Aurora who is similar in affect, is often compared with Eilish, and is much better. She's gotten some recognition but doesn't have the backing of the American machine. So she will never break through here, even though in theory she would appeal to the same audience.

They don’t cover each other in the same industry, because it always bring those “X singer is much better than X singer” idiots. For example Mark Jansen from Epica covered “Cry for the Moon” with his girlfriend as female voice and it brought those “Laura is much better, Simone can’t sing, kick her out etc.” idiots. Simone covered “Sally’s Song” for Halloween few years ago and psycho Evanescence fans gave her shit how she dared to sing Amy’s song, when it was also a cover... 🤦‍♀️

I'm not very impressed, but I'm neither impressed by Dimash. Yes, incredible range but no one on the planet conveys and evokes emotion in the way Lara does. She stands alone at the top....period.

I do not know why, because maybe Lara's deeper lower version is more "beautifull"..., Still Floor has got something that Lara Fabian lacks. For me its Floor trumps Lara... (allthough both are gorgeous)

Speechless, that's how I am right now. Adagio is one powerful song which I have always enjoyed, specially in the voice of Lara Fabian. But now, Floor just took it to a whole new level no one will ever be able to top. Flawless, I got goosebumps from the first notes and they kept coming right till the very end.
