Megan talks with Winter about her beautiful daughter. Adalyn Grace was stillborn at 37 weeks and delivered via Cesarean section. Megan tells us about about having to be on bed rest due to a short cervix and the complications that came because of it.

I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful daughter. I am a rainbow baby. I lost my brother Zak One year before I was born. There is never one day that I don’t think about my brother being here with me the way he should’ve been I know someday I will see him in heaven, but this channel is so comforting. Watching my mom grief over him has been hard my entire life even though she does a good job of hiding it I know that pain never went away for her and never will. I was a surrogate mom and the baby was born healthy, but there is nothing worse than leaving the hospital without a baby and feeling empty. Again, I am so sorry for your loss.

My son was born sleeping at 36 wks. We had an autopsy done and they found no cause for my son's death. No one told me that sometimes there isn't a reason why. I was told, "death happens," which felt so dismissive. No one was acknowledging the grief around losing my son. I had absolutely no support from anyone...not even my spouse 🥺

Thank you for sharing. I had 3 live births, but I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks. This was years ago but I still remember. All of my pregnancy was hard, but losing one hurt to bad. I had one one baby after the miscarriage. I spent the the next one on bed rest, the whole time was horrible. Thanks for sharing.

My daughter is named Addilyn. She will be 10 this year. I was told she had a heart issue but it was “fixed” when she was born. Born November 7th.

Mom's should have those droplet heart detectors so they can see if the baby's ok. It would bring a lot of peace of mind.

After an ectopic pregnancy and a miscarriage at 14wks with my youngest child while pregnant I purchased a heart doppler from Amazon and used it every morning.

First so sorry that this happened to you, but maybe not knowing the danger ypu were in was better for you & baby? My daughter loved my wild strawberries from my yard. She picked them since she could stand, but when she had her 1st pregnancy she Hated strawberries and swore she could smell them from my deep freeze in my garage. She wouldnt come over until I got rid of them. What a beautiful name for a beautiful soul.❤

Adalyn Grace, what a beautiful name. Did the Dr's say what may have been the cause of her demise? Since you were leaking, I'm guessing it could've been infection, loss of too much amniotic fluid?

Sorry to hear that. At 6 weeks old my daughter had what they called a ""near miss SIDS", she was asleep and my partner and I was changing her nappy when she stopped breathing and we saw her go blue, I managed to do baby CPR and resuscitate her, she wasn't breathing for about 8 minutes and finally took a gasp of air when the ambulance arrived. We really thought we had lost her for all those minutes. The hospital gave her the all clear after a week there but I lived in fear for a long time that it would happen again and used to watch her sleeping. It was such a traumatic event though she survived it.

I had my first child at 21 and named her Madalyn. I saw Adalyn’s name and was surprised at the adding a “M” is my sweet girls name. I have 3 children. In between my 1st and 2nd I had an ectopic and between my 2nd and 3rd had a miscarriage at 14wks. The ectopic I suffered required hospitalization. The hospital was a Catholic hospital that would not give the medication to dissolve the pregnancy growing in my tube because they saw it as an abortion. This resulted in my OB sending me to the cancer care center to be giving the methotrexate. Thankfully able to not require removal of one of my tubes. After our son arrived we got pregnant that ended in miscarriage at 14wks. After hearing the heartbeat and passing the 12wks I thought we were in the clear. At 14wks Dr could not hear the heartbeat and took me into his ultrasound room. I was searching the screen for the flicker of the heartbeat. My dr had to send me to ultrasound technician to confirm “fetal demise”. My OB said since 14wks having a D&C would be safest for me rather than waiting for my body to do it naturally because it could result in complications. Waking up in the recovery room after the D&C I immediately was bawling that I was empty and my baby was gone. The poor young male nurse had no idea what to say or do since it was a regular surgical recovery room. Thankfully once we waited 3months for my body to heal we got pregnant with our youngest.
