I get that but Disney is a kids channel so I don't know, I think it's more the fans that put that pressure on them because they see them as Disney stars and as soon as they step out of the role people are to quick criticize and slut shame and all that bullshit. I don't blame Disney I blame the fans.
Aliyah Jordan ehh you do have a point there cause when miley's "racy" photos spread it was the parents that were very upset with her cause she was "supposed" to set an example for their kids (which they should of been VERY ashamed of cause that's THEIR JOB to be the role models) and then disney were the ones that were embarrassed and they FORCED miley to apologize cause they thought she was making THEM look bad and that's when miley regretted ever signing with them but it wasn't just miley bella throne felt the same way too cause she couldn't stand how they pressured her into being a "role model" as well which explains how they became friends in the first place
Lauren My point was that it's not just Disney it was the people who were fans of Hannah Montana that now look at her with disgust because they only saw her as Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana who shame her for going outside of that. Just like how when Demi came out with her cool for the summer music video and everyone was slut shaming her and calling her shitty because they're used to her good girl Disney persona. In a way I get it because Disney is a kids channel so why wouldn't they pressure them to be good? It's kinda like when Vanessa Hudgens was on HSM and then all those nude pics were leaked and she got kicked off. In my opinion if they don't want that type of pressure they should've never signed with them in the first place that's their own fault. Then again Disney is what made miley and demi famous so they should be thankful for that and understand that regardless celebs r always gonna be pressured to be role models.
Aliyah Jordan technically it's really not their fault cause they were just children at the time they didn't realize what they were getting themselves into not to mention disney was NEVER like that when hilary brenda song and all the other old stars were there before the next era came cause DIFFERENT producers from disney were working there at the time the old stars from the early 2000's only stayed "good" because they WANTED to stay good NO ONE pressured them to do what they didn't want to do not to mention being naked and shaking your ass was never a trend back then anyway and also hilary said in an interview that when she was breaking out of the disney world she was pissed when people kept calling her lizzie instead of her real name but as she became and adult she realized that she would of never became who she was if it wasn't for the show in the first place and i get what you mean about the whole being thankful thing and the disney stars from 2006-2010 really are thankful for what disney has done for them BUT AT THE SAME TIME they DO NOT want to be known JUST FOR THEIR KID CHARACTERS WHEN THEY'RE SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT THEY'RE ADULTS NOW AND THEY WANNA BE KNOWN AS ADULTS you can't just see them as children for the rest of your life just like YOU don't want people to see YOU as a child for the rest of your life as well that's all i'm saying
Lauren I agree with u but then its like that guy who played Steve Urkel (don't remeber his name) doesn't want ppl to recognize him as that anymore. Like dude that's y ur relevant in the first place. Some celebs need to just get over themselves and understand that that's what made u famous and that's y u r where u r so that's not something u should ashamed of or annoyed by when ppl bring up stuff u did on Disney or from when u were a child actor. And maybe ur right about the Disney thing I don't know a whole lot about that. U brought up some good points but I'm kind of in the middle.
