This was magical for my brain. Sooo good to hear an acoustic analysis and hear it broken down chord by chord after listening to it 1000 times as a kid.
Another brilliant lesson - cool octaves! Marco added so much to the Ants sound. Punk distortion with Duane Eddy licks for good measure - brilliant! Thank you!
Love it. I always remembered the verse spelling out D-E-A-D. I think you nailed the chorus section. And that solo must have been inspired by Marc Bolan? I wish your channel got more views due to your hard work and dedication.
Thank you for your continued support. It is a passion project for me, and if people find it, then that is great. If not, well, I will still do the work to preserve this music for generations to come.
Massive fan of Marco, got some great geetar licks! He mentioned Prince Charming guitar was some of his cleverest work electric part that is and chord changes understated humble genius in my eyes 👍
You have put out almost the entire Adam catalog for us! I can't thank you enough!! There's only 1 request I have left. It's "No Zap" off Viva Le Rock. I know it's a super easy song and I could probably figure it out but you'd do it perfect where I would maybe mess it up. If you would cool if not no worries. You've given me alot of work already! Lol 😆
Great stuff;-) This was the first single I ever bought when it came out. I always wondered about the wonky D chord. Your fix is about as good as you can get but yeah, pretty sure it's a tape thing. It's a bit more subtle
This is great and I really appreciate it. Pretty new to actually playing the guitar a little better even though I've had one for over 30 years 😂 (thanks Covid for the spare time!). Could you elaborate on your amp spec? You mention you don't use pedals but you sound great, I need an amp like that 😁 Thanks again for this and other totorials.
Hi Rik, I appreciate the very nice words. For all of the videos, I use a Yamaha THR10X amp. No pedals or effects. I have probably 30 pedals but I simple don't need them for the videos. I think this is the best desktop amp there is. Very cheap, and infinitely customizable with software (which I do not use). I use the "Southern Hi" amp model with a little delay and reverb. This amp model simulates a 6L6 preamp for "a heavy metal" sound, according to the user manual. I think the P90s on my LP Special are a big part of the sound, too.
Strange that I haven't seen your video enlightening us all on the correct way to play it. But as you know so much about guitar, I certainly don't need to tell you that it is an instrument on which the same notes can be played in different places, and that some players prefer chords and notes in one location over another.
That documentary is really depressing to watch. I saw it years ago and rewatch it now and again. Have you seen this? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZdgDTLW6-I8.html
@@guitarraguitarraguitarra I actually bumped into Marco about 12 years ago, when I last visited London. He was on his was into the Forbidden Planet bookshop (a big comic fan, apparently). Managed to restrain myself and not 'fanboy'!
