Been dealing with suicidal thoughts since I was a little kid. I can't fathom how much I relate to this song.. especially the lyrics "they say they love me, but I know they don't mean it" and to keep it bottled up. Never being able to tell anyone for fear nobody wants to be around you for it. I have a wife and 2 beautiful baby girls. I live and breathe every breath I take for them. If not for my babies, I would've been by now. Thank you for coming out with this! Hold strong!

@Gregory Austin Thank you.. >blush< ☺️ I meant it.. Sometimes it helps knowing that you aren't the only one that is struggling hard. I've been going through a lot & it makes me question what I ever did that was so wrong to deserve all of it.. My best friend committed suicide (she put a shotgun in her mouth and pulled the trigger). She was 17 & we were inseparable. A few years later, my younger brother died suddenly from malignant hyperthermia & it was a week from his 25th birthday. Then, I was engaged & I got pregnant, however, I lost the baby in the 2nd trimester. I learned that I had to have surgery to have my uterus, fallopian tubes, and my ovaries taken out. Now, I'm with a much better man & we got married, however I'm unable to give him children..😔. Then, my sister-in-law was killed.. And then exactly a year later, my older brother & last sibling committed suicide & I found him dead in the bathroom the next morning.. He was 34. Then, later that same year (last year) on Christmas morning, my older brother's son's mother comitted suicide & was found dead in her bed that morning. Also, my Grandmom had died on Christmas morning. Christmas was also my older brother's birthday. I don't celebrate that holiday anymore. Then, on New Year's day my NaNa passed away. I suffer from PTSD from a horrible incident that happened to me & also because everyone I love either dies or goes away.. There's a lot more, however, I think I said enough for now.. I certainly hope that you are hanging in there.. People do care.. You're not alone.. Our problems may not be the same, however, we are both moving forward under terrible circumstances.. It reminds me of a lyric that I've always loved from a Tori Amos song.. "Hold on to nothing as fast as you can.." ~~❤

The truth is a deep wound. However trying just to survive is a constant bleeding wound. There's no cure for the pain, only numbness. I think I speak for everyone, that deals with Mental Illnesses, that this song is on point! Ppl who don't deal with Mental Illness have NO CLUE what it's like to struggle with the ill thoughts of the mind. I'm 35 and just recently started dealing with depression, after movin from TN to IL. The winters fuck with me so bad! Depression runs in my mothers blood line, so I watched her suffer on and off with it growing up. Struggling to keep her head above water, raising 3 kids on her own! I have so MUCH respect for her and what she gave up to make things work for us as a family bc her own mother gave her and two siblings to someone else to raise . So the way I see it is that she could have continued tht cycle when her and my father divorced when I was 5. She had 2 kids and was pregnant with their third, all by the age of 20 yrs old. When she would have her boughts of Depression, I remember tellin myself tht I'd never be like that. Well I'm eattin those words! Lol! All we can do is remember that it might take us down for a min but it will NEVER keep us down! And that we are NEVER ALONE! So many folks suffer from depression and other mental illnesses and there is ALWAYS someone willing to listen and help. My Great Auntie, my Mom's Aunt, killed her self from depression as well, after tking Prozac, so this topic ways heavy on my soul. If anyone that's reading this needs someone willing to listen, just give me a shout and I will respond. We all are ONE with this earth so we need to be there for our own! Much 💜 to you, Adam & Mesus, for bringin this subject out to shine more light on it. I seen y'alls preformance in Madison, last week and 💗 it! Will definitely come to another show!

It ruined my family … tore in in 2 all because 1 person couldn’t see themselves as worthy of love n not just from me , they couldn’t see themselves as worthy of love from their 2 kids either 😞. Got so bad that it made ‘em leave their family and kids. The depression and anxiety is horrible but the ripple effect they cause is mad crazy. It’s something most people don’t see or truly understand.

Jelly Roll also make music about life and depression. real life struggles he had and still have, and you can clearly hear that he puts his heart, soul and emotions into his music to the point that you can feel them. and i can relate to alot of what he rap and sings about from my past aswell. so i highly recommend you check him out aswell. hands down one of my favorite musicians.

As someome who has a mental illness diagnosis.. And who watched your video where you spoke about your struggles with anxiety and depression.. This song cut deep.. And i can imagine comes from a very real, very dark place. Can't imagine how difficult making this was.. Giving something that can be very crippling at times a voice.. A window into something, some of us, have trouble explaining to the ppl close to us without sounding completely nuts.. Thanx for this dude. For some it's a song.. For others.. It shows that even if we think we are suffering alone.. We not.. We have trouble remembering that.

Whats sad is we have kids with the same thoughts. I'm medicated for mine and they dont seem to be working. I cant explain how many tears i've fought. Ive told my dad what i've been thinking and the thoughts i've had daily and all he could manage to say is "So do I" man, Made me cry. I'm almost 16 and scared as hell to get behind the wheel. Maybe I can stop all the pain I feel. I dont wanna think this way. Hopefully it'll all go away some day. Adams' over here spitting some bars, I'm over here regretting giving myself scars. Aight. I tried to turn that into some bars but it didnt work. But everything I said is true. Adam your like a father figure to me I suffer from depression and anxiety and I use to cut 3 years ago there’s not a day that goes that I don’t think about doing it again but when you said you suffer from mental illness I realized I wasn’t alone you give me hope and make me want to stay positive in life and keep going now mater what keep fighting 💕💕

Brotha .... i love you man for your strengths and not giving a shit about being sensitive. Ive been threw stuff in my life that would tear whole communities down and loss like most couldnt imagine and have seen every person around me die in one way or another. Took care of my dieing mother also for many years. Never once have i had family or blood that cared even about my well-being as a human let alone any other aspect of my life. They just sat back and watched and took everything they could from me, even my grave next too my father. But im just glad i dont have to answer to god when i die for what ive done in my life like they will. I lived by my heart and that has made me the man i am. My PTSD and other diagnoses lol are just things that people label. Not what controls me or makes me ,just out comes of other people's decisions in life that i had to man up a deal with alone. Your a light that many people need in their life.

Adam thank you for making this it really has helped me to release my demons I have battled depression since I was 12yrs old, both of my parents abandoned for drugs, you inspire me, because you dont lay around feeling sorry for yourself, and I took a stand now my grandma is getting me a councilor.
