I keep coming back to this whenever I feel a bit down, it’s so funny and delightfully playful. It was before I was born and still so great to watch. Loved Bruce Forsyth, such a generous entertainer, and Adam Faith was lovely
Since I found it recently, I have to listen to it almost daily. It makes me happy & sad at the same time. I can't listen to Adam Faith singing it on his own, without hearing Brucie also...🤷♂️(a child of the 60s)
This is brilliant. From the days when entertainment meant pure talent and making people laugh. Bruce was a very good singer and Adam was gorgeous as ever.
If this doesn't make anyone smile they must be dead I was 5 then Adams song what do you want was the 1st pop song I remember great singer 2 great entertainers don't make them like that any more
qtpysusie54 it's great he's still and I hope he stays with us for a long while to come, but I think he is definitely retired though due to a health decline. His last TV appearance being November 2015.
My above comment is so morbid a month later, all hope wasted there... but I know he had wonderful life and I believe in afterlife so I'm sure that Bruce will now be entraining those up in the sky forever more.
Fantastic. Bruce and Adam at there best. 55 years ago, this seems impossible. I would love to know if Bruce still remembers this night at the Pallladium. He has meet so many stars.................... R.i.p Adam, 12 years ago since we lost you. Where has the time gone.
TheShizue777 I may be confusing him with someone else but, I'm pretty sure he put a couple of novelty records out in the late 60s/early 70s? One about 'buying British' and one about decimalisation?
Bruce was a fantastic all round entertainer. He could sing, dance, play the piano, and obviously was a great comic and compere. Also king of the catchphrase.
Magic! I was eight at the time. "Sunday Night At The London Palladium" (LIVE) was an institution back then. Great upload - thanks muchly. Good old Brucie - he MUST have a portrait in his attic!
I remember Adam on John Freeman's 'Face to Face' where he was shown to be a very cultured and intelligent young man who was investing his money and not a just a dimwit as many people thought at the time.
Adam (Terry Nelhams) was a versatile singer/actor. I saw him in the stage musical 'Budgie' with Anita Dobson who also sings.They individually perform a version of "One of my weaker moments" and others. The show had a short run partly due to the economic situation at the time but was very enjoyable. A record exists of the music from the show set in Old Compton Street in Soho.
It appears Bruce Forsyth may have invented the "Beatle" haircut - if this is truly 1960. John & Paul got their haircuts in 1961, so Bruce must have been ahead of his time.
