What makes Home Free so extraordinary is the fact that the versatility of their skills and voices give every song so much texture and color and Adam is their secret weapon. They just would not be the same with any member missing or different. There are obviously no egos in this group. If there's a laugh to be had they will go for it. They don't worry about just showing off their pretty faces. What other group would endure so much abuse just to entertain their fans? Love them so much. Loved your reaction. It was great, as usual.

The version from The Sing Off Tim did a growl, which always gets a row from the audience. In this version he used his chest voice, which is technically more difficult. Just like in Skull & Bones, he used his chest voice. You can tell because it sounds more gravelly. Knowing Tim, he'll probably do a growl when they sing it live in concert because he likes to have fun with the audience. And let's be honest, that's what Home Fries expect and love. Lol

Thanks for the double feature. I am most familiar with Tom Cochrane's version of this song than Rascal Flatts. The guys did a great cover of this song on the "Sing Off". They later released a studio version of this when Chance was with them. The video shows them touring & the behind the scenes at shows. And now they have just released this 3rd version of this song. The guys all sounded great as usual & enjoy their sense of humor. Love Tim's low bass growl. And Adam Rupp once again stole the show with all his cool sounds. He really has an unreal range.

Those goofballs! 😂 I always liked the Sing-Off version, but, dang, hearing the two side-by-side... the absolute growth in 10 years is phenomenal! For this Sing-Off performance, the theme was a party anthem, and the newest version makes you want to dance 💃!!!

I've heard through the rumor/reactor comment grapevine that Chance had a migraine the day this was filmed, so if that's true, props and shout out to him, cuz I know when *I* have one, I'm not getting out of bed/out from underneath the covers, let alone standing under bright lights, surrounded by people and loud noises, on top of having increasing levels of wind/air blown in my face. Sounds like a nightmare on steroids to me. THAT is the mark of a true professional. Best song/video of the album so far for me! (Also, congrats on your engagement! So special, you lucky ducky!)

Tim once said in an interview that Adam is the magic of Home Free and no one tells him what to do in a song. He just seems to know what sounds the song needs and that's what he does. I love that Adam actually managed to smile with that leaf blower aimed at his face lol

I need to watch your interview with Chris Rupp because in every video I have seen of Home Free on the Sing Off, in every reaction to Home Free performances on the Sing Off, the judges make mention of every member except for Chris! The other 4 all get an assortment of compliments and kudos. At no point did I hear Ben, Jewel or Shawn direct a comment to Chris. This song is "The Cars song" in our house and my kids love Home Free all the more for covering it, especially with the silly faces.

This is actually the 3rd video for this song. You may want to watch it too. Jewel told them that she loved how they showed how to build a band. This I believe the second song that they sung on The Sing Off. They just keep upgrading their own versions of the songs. I enjoyed watching your reaction to this song.

They’ve said the producers came on strong with the Austin/Tim fronting but HF insisted that Rob be the lead in Colder Weather. Producers were slightly unhappy but agreed to it.

You should watch the Sing Off with the intro and the judges afterwards - the intros are hilarious, the boys behind the scene and the judges reactions are pure gold!

I've always loved all 3 of their versions of this song. Of course the singing & harmonies are terrific and Adam just keeps outdoing himself with his beatboxing - I sometimes wonder if he is an alien! Their collective sense of humor and lack of ego makes for great, fun videos. I almost always miss live streams but fortunately, I can watch them later. Love your channel - your energy and enthusiasm is infectious! PS - Another reactor described Austin as "funky Jesus on a highway". I love it when Adam's & Austin's hair is loose!

This is from the new CD "As Seen On TV" and they took all the songs they performed on Sing Off, including all the songs they had ready but weren't used for whatever reason. I haven't gotten the new CD yet but can't wait till I do

They were together for 10 years before the show and at their first try they didn’t pass the next year the producers loved them but wanted to brand them as Country Acapela only and the boys were against it 😂 after a long talk they decided to go with the show idea and look were they are ❤️ good sacrifice 😂

Oh oh oh those guys are so good and funny. I'm laughing my ass off, especially at their faces. What fun they would have had during those recordings. I've seen it a few times and each time I see something new. But my attention still remained on the singing and that inhumanly good beatboxing. You could say I was laughing while swinging. Because it sounded amazing again. It has become much better than the performance of the Sing Off. But what I like so much is that even if you don't see the video, what you hear is still great. With many groups the song is nice and good when you watch the video, but without a video it is a lot less and I had enough after listening to it once. I don't have that at all with Home Free. They are top, but not over the top❤

Oh I was waiting for you to do this one, I knew you'd lose your mind haha. I love how during the high wind part everyone is just having a blast, and Chance just seems to be suffering, trying to breathe. Well, I say 'love', obviously I don't want him to suffer, but it stands out compared to the rest, which is why it's funny to me. Also yesss Adam freaking Rupp... show off those mad skills dude, loving every second of it.

I understood that the decision to feature Austin and Tim was not just the producers' whim, but that every group was asked to nominate two of their members to be featured, though it was certainly discussed with the producers. If you watch the opening intro numbers,, you'll see that the same people are featured each time from other groups as well. Producers know that with literally hundreds of people on the show, the public will get confused and lose interest unless individuals are featured. Every TV talent show needs only enough "characters" to follow as we watch at home. So despite all the bleating about Tim and Austin being featured, it was part of the rules and was originally the band's decision. Austin was not only an extraordinary talent but the only one with extensive experience of the sort of big production numbers that opened each show. Tim was the only true basso profundo so it made sense to feature him. I said before on one of these double bills that it really is no way to measure the band's progress, since in the SingOff each group had only a week to arrange, learn and rehearse each number, as well as hours of drilling for the production numbers. They were worked12 hours a day without a day off, Austin needed medication to save his voice, and they had the stress of competition as well. Comparing that process and live recordings with what they can produce with the services of a top-rate producer and recording separately (Adam and Austin record in their own studios so they can stay at home) is comparing oranges and apples.

I've always loved the Rascal Flatts' version of this song; but Home Free just makes it even better ❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️ LOVE when the boys have fun with their videos! (Not a bad showcase for their hair either 🤣) I love that they showed Adam doing some of his bass drops--SO talented! 🥰 I don't know that anyone has ever actually publicized Adam's range, but I sincerely believe his is the widest vocal range of all the Home Free fellas 💕

I've heard that Austin and Adam are growing out their hair and when they cut it, they donate it. Just goes to show that they aren't just talented, they're wonderful, caring people, too. The more I learn about these guys, the more impressed with them I am. I keep telling them that if they need a little grey-haired lady that can't sing in their videos, to get in touch.
