Join #1 New York Times-bestselling authors Adam Grant and Malcolm Gladwell on how we can tap into our vast reserves of untapped ingenuity - and Grant’s new book, Hidden Potential: The Science of Achieving Greater Things.
Offering an innovative new framework for how we can think about talent and personal expectation in the realms of business, sports, scientific discovery, and beyond, Hidden Potential is an exploration of how to create opportunities for ourselves with the power of aspiration and motivation - a “brilliant book [that] will shatter your assumptions about what it takes to improve and succeed” (Serena Williams). Hear Grant discuss his discoveries with Gladwell - why he undertook the project, how we can all tap into our talents more effectively, stories that didn’t make it into the book, and more.

Wow. This interview was beautiful. It centers on character and self-belief, during which both Malcolm and Adam demonstrated grace, deference, hope, intelligence, accepting challenges (risk), persistence, inspiration, and love.

Perfectionism is increasing because children have the TIME and available resources to perfect “a thing”.

The biggest influence a parents have on their child’s character is at the instant of conception! It’s genetic!

I can't help but imagine how much more good would have been done if the money spent on all of those monthly flights had been spent on aid...

Word to the wise-people who hawk business self-help are not intellectuals.

After watching Gladwell, make a fool of himself, trying to debate, Matt Taibbi, he’ll never appear credible on any topic.

He was a bit weird on that debate but he was arguing a position that he doesn't necessarily fully hold personally. He's pretty good 99% of the time. Not sure Taibbi is overall on the same level intellectually and he's certainly not as useful, influential etc.
