A piece of furniture yes! I practice standing and seated meditation. Years ago after standing for some time I took Tai Chi classes. The lineage was a well known 90 yr old master from China. I was introduced to Elephant wrestling. When I touched people I could feel their root or feet and moved them easily even the teacher. I was called after class and asked not to return because I didn't tell them my level of expertise? All I did was standing and sitting everyday and some Tai Chi short form. I often thought other players felt like wood it was easy to find their center. Master Mizner is a rare 1% highest level teacher in my opinion. Ty

@johndough8115
@johndough8115 Год назад
@@davidm9618 The harder you attack an Internalist... the more devastating / extreme the Counters... as all of their mass and strength energy gets used against them, and is ADDED to your own. You give my 100 lbs worth of force... and I use your 100 lbs, and add my own 180lbs worth of mass/force. Thats a +280 lb Counter. One day while attempting to replicate a Push Hand drill with another artist.. he managed to push one of my arms away, and then started to throw a palmstrike towards my chest with his other arm. However, my other arm was still riding his arm.. locked behind his elbow joint. As his palm just started to push into my chest... my own arm was locked firm to his elbow.. which caused his arm to help pull his own arm towards me. I added my own mass, and added some additional muscle to the pull... and as he was pulled towards me... I shifted my hips/chest to the side... forcing him to step right past me. As he was being propelled forwards, on the way past me... I also pushed his back with my other arm, as I also twisted my torso, adding even more movement energy to the mix. He was nearly 2x my mass and strength... and he ended up about 15 feet away from me... unable to stop himself until that distance. He was like " I had you !!! And then it was like you Vanished! ". This dude goes all over the USA to fight in full contact competitions, in the heavyweight division. Hes not used to being man-handled by a 150lb twig of a man. I asked him to continue our drilling... but he said "No. Im done." He felt so outclassed, and embarrassed, that he refused to keep playing. At that time, I was mostly doing Wing Chun... but I was always cross training, and trying out with other arts methods. I knew many of the Principles of Tai Chi... and in fact, many of them are within Wing Chun (when practiced properly)... but this was on a whole other level. To clarify an important detail... His palmstrike couldnt do any real damage to me... as its impact was only surface level, and wasnt allowed to penetrate any deeper. THat said.. if I had known the proper Tai Chi responses... I would have redirected his palmstrike, before it even came close... and still sent him flying away.

@@kelvinlooney2178 I used to go to various schools open-house sparring events. One time I attended an event at a Jujitsu school... It was supposed to be "Friendly" sparring, with agreed upon levels of power between any whom spar each other... Im used to having artists show me disrespect, when I show up in my Traditional Kung Fu uniform. This day was no different... One of the Blackbelt Jujutsu fighters quickly rushes over to spar with me, as he clearly had something to prove. As the sparring begins, this A-Hole starts giving me the stink eye, and making Groaning and Grunting noises.. being mocking and disrespectful. Normally, I do not use KO level forces when sparring.. but when someone shows me disrespect.. then I give them a little Taste of what Im capable of. He tries the typical high feint, and then rush in for a low takedown. Problem is.. Im a Masterclass level fighter.. and I dont fall for such Tripe. I use my mostly extended LEAD guard hand, and launch a vertical fists to his forehead as hes rushing in. Less than 6 inches of travel distance, and I used less than 20% of what I was capable of delivering. He was done. Then I proceeded to do the exact same thing, to two other Blackbelt Jujitsu students of that school. All KOs, off the first exchange, as intended. After the event, I would later find out that one of these students had intentionally broke a TKD fighters arm. They were bad news. So let me assure you, as a martial artists of 29 years, spanning many styles.. (including Wing Chun, with cross training in TKD, Muay Thai, Boxing, Tai Chi, Shaolin Longfist, some Wushu acrobatics, basic Rope Dart, Nunchaku, 9 Section Steel Whip Chain, and much more... ) that the technology being demonstrated is both real, and had powerful practical combat use. In fact, its the basic foundation, of short range power, which is how I was easily able to KO any fighter that I chose.. with less than 6 inches worth of runway. That same technology, can also be used with kicks. Its how I nearly crippled a very disrespectful full contact competition fighter... by kicking his Kneecap, with a lead-leg heel+instep kick to his kneecap. Took that dude a month to recover from the resulting injury... and yet again, that was far less than 20% of what I was capable of dishing out. He also happened to be almost double my mass and strength, and he competed regularly, all over the states. He showed me a room full of 1st and 2nd place trophies from his heavyweight division events. Meanwhile, I was a mere 6ft 150 lbs, with a 32" waist max. You could see ever rib bone on me. There is a huge difference between those that train as a Casual.. and those that train hardcore, 24x7... whom actually attain Masterclass level output.

@johndough8115 Год назад
@@kelvinlooney2178 Part 2: Im going to add something. You know, its not hard to take down a POOR quality fighter / artists... They are almost tripping over themselves to begin with. They have poor awareness of their bodies.. and go "Straight Legged" due to their poor self discipline, bad training + poor whole-body awareness. It makes it pretty easy to knock them to the ground, even without the best grappling / takedown skills. This is why you see so many sloppy MMA UFC fighters, getting quickly driven to the ground. They were never taught nor developed solid foundations, with the skills to be able to remain standing. Thus, the are fairly easily tricked, and tripped up. Furthermore... when these cats try to strike.. half of the time they are missing their target, and the other half.. they are only landing with a fraction of their bodies full potentials. As such, most of their strikes have no real meaning... UNLESS they are sitting on top of a dude.. and the dude cant move + his head is firmly backed by the floor. Their kicks, tell are equally bad tale. They are off balance half of the time. They are so slow and telegraphic, that the OP can read it coming from 2 miles away... and easily avoid them. And even when they do land... they often lack the power to end the match... let alone, cripple or END a fighter. Ever see Joe Rogan do some spin kicks to a heavy bag? His kicks are faster, more accurate, and probably 2x more powerful than the BEST UFC fighter to date. Why? Because his TKD roots, which feature specific "Attribute" training that MMA / UFC lacks... developed him to a whole other level of capability. He reached Masterclass level in his kicks... and let me tell you.. that IF you have to try to ENTER into a Masterclass level kickers space.. you had better be prepared to get broken ribs, at MINIMAL, instantly, and every time. Ever watch "Benny the Jet" fight? Benny has a no-look spin kick that is fast as many fighters Jabs. To date, hes KO'd several fighters in the ring, with that single kick. Do you know how many UFC fighters have managed to do the same? As far as I know... None (if its actually happened, Id be surprised.. and its likely a very rare thing. I used to watch that slop every now and then, but it was to sickening to stomach). Now... Of course, TKD is a sportized art, and they are not allowed to kick below the belt. Meanwhile, Im a combat level artist. I dont train for Belts, nor Trophies. I trained for real Barefist event situations. Where you kick a kneecap out, poke the eye, chop the neck / spine / throat, cause internal ruptures...etc. And let me tell you... at Masterclass levels.. just TRY and enter against a Combat fighter like myself.. and you will find out the hard way, that its not as easy as those fake-news gracie challenge vids, make it out to be. No, the Gracies NEVER challenged real "Masters". They "SAID" they did in the video titles. Any clueless fools like yourself, ate that garbage up like Candy. But it was all part of their little Magic Trick. They intentionally chose Inept / clueless practitioners... that were easily fooled and easily taken down. They didnt want to risk getting WRECKED by a real master. And rightly so. Would you?! Ive been fortunate enough to spar with a few Masterclass level fighters myself. And let me tell you... its a whole other ballgame, compared to sparring against the masses of Casual artists. You make one mistake, a fraction of a second.. and you are getting tagged / injured. And they are being EXTREMELY "NICE" compared to what they are fully capable, of doing to you. This is why such fighters are the very last, to get into a physical altercation. We try everything we can to talk down such an event. We are fully capable of lethal level responses, and we can repeat this level of output, every single time, flawlessly. We also know that as good as we are... that there are others just as capable, if not even more so. When you go beyond the KO level, into the serious injury level.. and you realize that its easy for you to take a life.. just as another could take yours... you stop being so egar to play Sport based sparring games. And you definitely do not want to have to be forced to harm some idiot out in the real world.. over something pathetically stupid. Realize that Grappling has its good uses. Its the best option, to control a drunken uncle that goes way too far, at a wedding reception. Or against an unruly student, or drunken fool at the night club.. as a bouncer. But thats not a Combat response. Thats playing "NICE". When two or more dudes approach you.. with Ill intent.. you dont have the time, to try to wrestle with them both. Try and simulate it. While you are rolling on the ground... the other will be kicking his steel toed boot into your face... then curb stomping your head until your brains spill out onto the pavement. In real combat.. you need to become a master of ALL ranges: 1) Long Kicks 2) Long Strikes 3) Short Kicks 4) Short Strikes 5) Standing Grappling / Throws / Takedown If the OP can easily get past ALL 4 of the first Ranges without SERIOUS INJURIES... then you have FAILED as a COMBAT ARTIST... let alone, consider yourself a "MASTER". Grappling is the very last range of combat, and its usually skipped in favor of short range strikes, in actual combat. Its only in play-fights, against lower level sport practitioners, that you can afford to use grappling as your Main level of artform. Grappling is considered a SUBSET or Range of combat... and NOT a "COMPLETE". You can find grappling methods in all Chinese combat arts. Its just rarely used in favor of other more Damaging methods. You can see some examples of Grappling used by Master: Tamotsu Miyahira ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uyS-vHD74Go.html However, as much as he shows these various Chinese Grapples... you can find plenty of vids on the same channel, that show his POWERFUL short range striking abilities. One such elbow point strike, is often shown.. and it was damn Brutal. Dude flew back about 12 ft.. and was in a lot of pain. Tamotsu Miyahira, was still holding back most of his impact potentials. This man is one of the few that shows proper live Chi Na application... where he can flow from one lock to another, based on Feel and positions. But in a real situation, where he doesnt have to be "NICE".. I guarantee that he uses all Strikes, to end the attacker(s).
