I watched the Mormon Stories interview before it was taken down. Adam, I wish you nothing but the most wonderful future, and I am so sorry for what was done to you.
I hope victims gather into a group and make a class action suit to sue the whole rotten pack of these predators. Idk who would take on such a big case you would need a team of super lawyers.
The parole board definitely need to hear from Adam and all who suffered by Jodi’s hand every parole hearing. Keep her in for the Max- 30 years. Wish it were life.
Adam you are my hero! You are a strong man! It’s amazing how you were able to untangle all the abuse against you. Just being able to see your trauma from personal position as well as a global position is brilliant. I also love your dad for his unquestioning and courageous support for you

Re: his marriage. I am glad you mentioned that. The bit where he explained his girlfriend dying after a car crash... 😭😭 Doesn't take away the pain (I'm a widow), but goodness at least he has someone there for him again.
This man deserves a lot of credit for speaking about such a horrendous violation. This could not have been easy to revisit.This is exactly why ruby doesn’t live with her husband. Kevin was forced to stay away for fear and embarrassment of Jody telling church officials. This is a pattern for her and now she has targeted the children with her lies and Ruby went right along with it. Jody accused her teenage niece of stuff too. She wouldn’t let her close the bathroom door and wouldn’t let her have tampons because she might do something inappropriate with them. Hildenbrandt is an incredibly dangerous woman and her and Ruby together is a nightmare. Those poor children.
Okay but regardless of what he did for the marriage Kevin should have stayed to make sure kids were safe-but he let things happen in his sight so he is also abusive
Kevin being on so many videos with Ruby on 8 passengers, (before jody days) he was complicit with the discipline given . Did he know what was happening the last year, probably not since he obediently disappeared from his children for that year, all in the teachings and rules of jody and the morman church .
Adam!! We need to make sure we are contacting the board of pardon/parole EVERY time that woman is scheduled for a hearing .. we need to show - in force - that she needs to stay incarcerated for a very long time!! I am here for you!!
I know who Adam is. Watched his previous interviews and his story was absolutely heartbreaking and unforgettable...but to me he is a survivor with the most courageous heart. Wishing him God speed for the rest of his life! He is sooooo deserving! The world needs more truth tellers.
I heard your entire story on Mormon Stories, Adam. I know how it feels to sit in a courtroom where my children were among the ‘body count’ of someone who was a perpetrator. It is so vindicating for the perpetrator to be sentenced and your story is validated. (Our predator got 425 years plus a life sentence without parole.) Keep telling your story. Maybe write a book!

I think we want so desperately to send the truth out there into the universe. I'm so happy for you. I'm so happy for your kids. I'm so glad the monster was put behind bars. Thanks for fighting for truth and for your FANTASTIC monologue you did after court. You were the star of the show, whether you know it or not. I was lucky and got to see your Mormon Stories interview before it was taken down. But was great too. I'm also a victim of a predator that was my mom's boyfriend and then stepdad, that the church covered up and told me to just try harder to get along with him, and to just don't get alone with him. After i finally got the courage to tell my mom, and i thought someone would protect me. This was age 11-18 living in fear. Trying to hide. The church offered me lds counseling later, after my bishop was caught hypnotizing older teens and young adult females in his office. They told us 'you don't want to harm the Good name of the church do you??' Of course we didn't. The church sent him to SLC and protected him. I do see online where at least one person was able to sue or criminally charge him. I'd like to get those documents! But i have no memory of what he did to me,i just know he took me to his work office, he was a psychologist, and when i left, i thought 20 minutes had gone by, but over an hour had gone by. I was shocked at the time, but thought nothing of it. Now i wonder, but the church will never tell. My best friend remembers waking up in his office and so she confronted him, she was older than me and tougher, so he got scared and that's why the church moved him. Anyway.... Thank you for all you've done! I'm sorry for all you've been through! See? I monologue! Lol

When you grabbed that mic, I started praying that they would let you speak! I watched your interview on the Mormon Podcast...and my heart went out to you, especially since I'm a victim of complex traumatisation since early childhood....I wish all the best for you and your family and don't ever let them shut you up again!
This means a lot to those who have trauma and who have never seen justice. It is healing to see Adam able to speak at this moment of Jodi, his perpetrator, having to finally face consequences for the harm she has caused.
Well done Adam. The Catholic Church covered up my abuser. He died before I could get any sort of healing. Thank you so much for continuing the fight and exposing these terrible institutions. All my respect to you. Thank you Adam for being such an example of not giving up your power to the Mormon church or Jody Hildebrandt. Sometimes doing the right thing is difficult and makes the victim the target. It’s hard to fight powerful institutions that have all the resources to make their problems go away. I am so glad you have been able to heal your relationship with your kids. I also have so much respect for your dad who supported you all the way and also had the courage to go against the church and lawmakers.
I was glad I saw the Mormon stories podcast before it was forced off. Please continue to stand tall and continue to be strong - and teach your children about healthy boundaries.
@@gloriav1236I can’t remember exactly, but I think there’s an explanation on the Mormon stories podcast community page. It was something about Adam not being allowed by law to talk about whatever happened to him - maybe some kind of settlement because Jodi (and the church) had gone after him pretty hard to get him to stop talking and even accused him of crimes even tho it was Jodi who was actually committing these crimes. It’s more complicated than I really understand.

As an ex-mormon kid gaslit by the church and as a mother and aunt who has fought for my kids and nieces I was crying and cheering you on when I saw you take the mic. Thank you for being unafraid to take the risk of speaking the truth for not just you and your family, but for all abuse victims of the corrupt church and their legal system and religious abuse and victims everywhere. Fight the power for all us ‘little people’. I want to know what I can do to help.

I was impressed with the difference in Adam’s demeanor today. I hope he finds healing in all that has happened and Jody being held somewhat accountable.
I have watched Adams previous videos on Hidden True Crime and Mormon Stories and he looks like a new man today. I am so pleased and happy that Adam now feels he is getting and will continue to get some measure of justice. The change in him is amazing.
Adam has shown what an extraordinary human being he is. He was victimized and traumatized repeatedly by so many, but he took on the responsibility to fight to protect others at great personal cost. He exemplifies a profile in courage.

You are a hero Adam!! I am an adult who was a victim of CSA and I KNOW how hard it is to fight. I could not, I had no support, I'm 49 and my mom just recently apologized for not believing me....because her brother who has always required supported living, he told her I was telling the truth. So....that was my vindication, it didn't really feel good. You did it though and you saved your friends too! I would love to see you sue the mormon church, the state of utah, take it all down!!!

Adam please know there are so many people who are proud to stand with you and support you with taking that mic. It will get so many more people see what you had to deal with, at the hand of Jodi, the Mormon church and this court. I'm proud that you spoke so well in that moment. I hope in the future there will be a way to put right what all these self serving people have done to all the families that have been affected by them. You will have many many many people who will support any action that can be taken.
Listening to Adam's story fills me with a horror that's hard to describe. There are so many bad things that can be done to us, but Jodi's malice gets inside people to destroy them internally and turn the outside world against them. I can hardly bear to think about what it must be like to be publicly viewed as such a dispicable person because someone else lied about you. I don't know if I would have been strong enough to make it through. I'm so happy for Adam and his family for the vindication and healing they've finally achieved.
Adam, you are such an inspiration and a true hero. I have been watching all of your interviews and they have been so healing for me as a victim from child abuse that was completely ignored by my bishop. I have no doubt you are helping so many others. I know your pain is deep and heartbreakingly undeserved. I hope you keep speaking your truth and give all victims a voice. I also hope you have some justice coming your way and the people and institutions that did this to you have some form of atonement. ❤

I wish Adam would go on a national program like Dateline 48 Hours or 20/20. Maybe the national stage would really go a long way. Also Kevin was no victim! Sorry before Jodi the monster he went along with Ruby's abusive behavior. If I were Adam I wouldn't have anything to do with Kevin. I'm sure there are other men who are actually victims of that monster.
@@str9047 I have. He had plenty of time to get that interview right for himself. He knew exactly how to speak to take the heat of himself. It's too bad there aren't more 8 Passengers videos out to see his behavior. No excuses for him. He was not well liked at the university

Adam , I had a similar sort of family law case but not as horrific and I want you to know my daughter who was very young (2) and was dragged thru the family law courts from age 3 to 16 but has since come through it all and done well, first as an icu nurse and then nurse anesthesiologist…. My point is that you are their rock who has been there for them (despite all the people slandering. Even through the system is corrupt , my daughter has done well and your kids will fine too because of your with honesty, consistency and love! So very sorry that you went through the sh-t. It was very cool to see Laura reporting for Law and Crime during the sentencing hearing. My heart goes out to Adam and his family. Loved when Adam showed up for the post sentencing presser.
I have great respect for Adam! He has been through so much and still comes out to help others hurt by Jodi and the LDS Church. Adam is a very strong role model for anyone who has been poorly treated by an individual or institution. Thank you, Adam ❤

There is a huge difference in Adam today versus his MSP interview. I think the public vindication is helping him finally heal. I’m a CSA survivor. Healing was a difficult journey for me. I can’t imagine carrying the added trauma of what Adam has endured. He’s a walking miracle. I wish him and his family every good thing going forward.

I also saw the Adam Paul Steed interview on Mormon Stories livestream and it was heartbreaking. I’m aware that the Mormon church had the interview removed as it shed a bad light on them . Jodi Hildebrandt got her referrals directly from the Mormon church. She deserves sixty years.
Someone needs to start a program for these people. Like the ones that help these people get out of these cults. Breaking the chains of these religious cults that feed of fear to get money
