I had it as an accident (i was trying another haircut but The Rachel was the outcome, i think my stylist did not understood what i really wanted lol) and it was amazing... just the first month. When the hair started to grow was shapeless and actually looked like a cow had chewed my hair. I had to fix it with a bob lol.
It must have required so much styling in the morning to get the volume and many little flips she had. It’s so funny bc it’s such an iconic hairstyle that everyone associates with Jen Aniston, but really she had it less than a year!
I made the mistake of getting this hairstyle when I was much younger. It looked great when it was styled, but it required a lot of styling 🙄 And growing it out looked even worse! I resorted to wearing it in a ponytail and it looked like I had a mushroom on top of my head 🙃
Honestly, I love Adam’s style. He just always looks comfortable and it somehow makes it feel comforting listing to him. Not taking anything too seriously, just living life.

Ya I've been binging and rebinging friends for a couple weeks and she goes threw a million styles and looks amazing in all of them! ( My favorite was probably during the season with Bruce Willis when it was really long, or right after when it was a straight bob!)
I love that she admitted that the Rachel cut was difficult to style I’m a hairstylist since the 90s and I remember when everyone wanted it but they would start growing it out immediately because it required a lot of round brushing skills and the right hair texture!!!

I asked for this cut as a child, and it was such a nightmare😂. The haidresser was so rude so I didn’t feel I could say anything under way while she was cutting those super short layers. My hair is wavy/curly so it was the totally wrong texture and I hated it. I did ask for it though but if she hadn’t been rude I would probably told her not to do those shortest layers as short. I also had the other cut which wasn’t really great on my hair either, but it was better at least and I was ok with that cut. You are right, my hair would just twist inwards and some places opposite.
These two actually need to just do a show where they are friends who live very different lives but are such good friends they can tell each other anything.

"That's cute" ❤😅 I still remember when I was a teen and extremely embarrassed of my curly hair, especially if just brushed out it went POOF . One of my bfs saw when I was too tired to bother. He said it was super cute and that changed my perspective massively. Even though I still didn't like it, and he and I didn't last long, I remember that over a decade later and appreciate it. Girls need to hear that stuff.

Oh my gosh! That cut was soooooo popular with ALL women. When I was a hair stylist in the 90’s everyone either wanted the Rachel or a Bob…Fun times! The Rachel may make a comeback, you never know!
Not for me it won't, 😂! I have a lot of hair and it's deceptive. Only 2 people have ever been able to cut my hair correctly. For the past five years I've been sportin a shaved undercut shoulder length wedge and it's perfect! Well, almost... I still have to tie a bandana over my hair for about 2 hours to compress some of the volume after I blow-dry and style. The "Rachel" was the worst cut I've ever had. Worse than the perm that lasted about a month until I just shaved my head. I love how stylists now are more interactive with your decision-making. Some people just don't know what is going to work with their hair type and will end up with something horrifying!
OMG! I forgot about "the Rachel." I remember when my bestie and I got that hairstyle when we were going into the eighth grade. We just knew we were the coolest girls in school. 😂😂

Still the best haircut me and my friends had. Was lovely face framing with any hair texture. Never felt as pretty since as can't find anyone now to cut it.
