Adam Savage has had the pleasure of going behind the scenes of several films and TV shows. Check out our playlist of videos from those set visits! bit.ly/2YpN8qu
So fricken awesome!! That is so cool. They really made a good choice of putting Adam In as an extra. Because how much he loves these movies. And how much attention he brings about them on RU-vid.
On the Still Untitled Podcast, Adam mentioned how Dave Bautista actually recognized him and asked him where he knew him from. Adam told him Mythbusters and Dave had the biggest smile and shook his hand. Dave told him that his wife is the biggest geek and they both love Mythbusters. So awesome!
it's funny someone putting effort to 'weathering' his hands, because somehow I'd imagine that's the 'natural' color for his hands most of the time anyway
Revisiting this video made me appreciate Adam's enthusiasm even more, as well as the skill of the wardrobe person as she picked things out for his initial ensemble. It's so nice to see someone who really knows their stuff have such an undying enthusiasm and joy about the process of filmmaking and world building. Thanks Adam and team!
Awesome, I'm very jealous!! All three short films were incredible too. What a great way to fill in some of the blanks between the first story and the second without having to start off with some cheesy monologue ;)
So happy for you! Like anyone who has watched your videos, I know how much Blade Runner means to you, and I am glad you have given all us fans this chance to live vicariously through you.
I think its so lovely that adam is always living his dreams and being happy as can be with what hes doing. Even cooler is that he got to be in a movie of one of his all time favorite universes!
I was just telling someone the other day that I wished they would've had Adam Savage as a cameo in the new Blade Runner! So happy he got a spot in this short, seeing this video made my day.
Being an extra is so much fun. I've been an extra in a couple of tv shows and movies that were large productions, and it is truly fascinating watching the whole process at work. It can truly suck sometimes doing a take over... and over... and over... all freaking day but it's still worth it. I wish I could go back and do it again but unfortunately I don't have the flexibility in my job that I used to have.
I totally agree on this! I've been an extra for some time now. Although some shootings can have worse atmospheres sometimes. But it's usually interesting overall. It's also fun you meet familiar faces later on (even from the crew like the dressers) and also if the movie is out, you can see the result (and maybe even yourself too). I was also in this one, it was long, but interesting (landfill scene where people get attacked with rockets). ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8QvJajVj28w.html
Always good to see Adam having fun and getting to do things he's always dreamed of doing. His energy and excitement was one of the main draws of Mythbusters for me when it first started and it's good to see his excitement for things he enjoys hasn't dulled a bit. The new hosts of the new Mythbusters have some VERY large boots to fill after Adam and Jamie's long run.
I'm Hungarian and I'm glad to hear the guy next to Adam yelling at him in Hungarian, at around 5:14 in the video. He said "Menjen már el innen!" which is basically "Get out of here!" in English. Nice homage to Edward James Olmos and his famous Hungarian frases from the first Blade Runner film.
I have to say Adam did a great job. I didn't notice him the first time I watched and having focused in on him this time around I have to say he melted into the scene expertly well. Well done.
I actually have to say the acting on Adam's part was quite fantastic! I had to re-watch that a couple times to realize what was going on, and even then it felt like a perfect clandestine sale. Well done, and congratulations!
I finally got to see the three shorts between Blade Runner & 2049 movies. Had I not see this I would have never noticed you Adam, but I Did. Great Job & keep on entertaning us! 😎
way to go Adam! i noticed your character the first time i saw the short, the only way i would have noticed it was you was if they let you keep the glasses on. way to go man. Bladerunner is an excellent franchise.
A lot of the wardrobe did seem heavily inspired by and taken from milsurp, so yes, this look would fall in line with yeezy season 3 or 4 aesthetically speaking
I think what I've always liked about Adam is he knows exactly how lucky he is to be doing this stuff. That grin on his face when they finished adjusting his garbage bag says it all.
I've watched that scene a few times now, It was in the trailers but I never noticed you before Adam. It's either your awesome acting skills or the lack of your iconic glasses.
What has always intrigued me is how exactly do they organise all of this? All of these sets, all the logistics and the huge number of people working there each day. To me it looks like a bazaar, it looks like so much work, and there are so many people there that it is hard to fully grasp just how much managing power that is required to fuel such a production.
Adam, what can I say, spectacular performance! That's so cool, you blended in so well I didn't notice you when I went to see it on Monday! I'll be looking out for you when I inevitably see it again!
I was an extra in a zombie movie, so I can tell you that a few seconds on screen in the background is worth however many hours you're standing around and getting prepped and all... But being in something Blade Runner related has to be 100000x as cool as a little indie movie.
it's crazy so much work from so many ppl for a guy / face we see a fraction of a second in the film! the film industry is such an interesting and crazy hard industry
this is so cool! when i watched the short i was surprised of the comercial blood bag concept, i didn't recognize you! now watching ur video i do! such an amazing experience i'm so glad for you...
So happy for you Adam! Congrats! ...will we be seeing you on the background of some new star wars movie? one more thougt I have... Dave Bautista did an excelent job acting that role. In the trailer I could not recognize him. he looked tired, beaten up, thoughtful, introvert. nice job.
Whoa I watched this short film the other day. And I loved it. I did not even know it was Adam. I just saw this guy cut in front of Dave's character. And felt sorry that he got served while Dave's character was struggling for his sale. Well everyone was struggling there. That was so good acting though. Cannot wait to see the full film though.
With his fame, I beleive Adam could easily be cast as an extra, or even with a small role, in any sci-fi movie. Any movie for that matter. Good job mate.
