Adam's compliment about the steampunk aesthetic is so spot on. It irks me a lot that so many people nowadays just stick a bunch of gears on something and call it steampunk.
If Adam could visit their shop, he'd lose his damn mind when he saw Martina's painting projects. I love seeing talented people appreciating each other's work as peers. He's not over them, he genuinely shows himself as a peer maker, and a fan of their work.
Oh yeah, the different themed rooms they've made and some of the gaint projects they've done is super impressive, down to the details and just size. I would love to see a person like Adam comment on them.
Okay, I just about lost my mind when Martina and Hansi appeared on Tested showcasing Martina's aesthetic prosthetic, but this is a whole other level of cathartic. Now we *need* a collab. I can only begin to dream of the craziness the three of you could create together! 3 of the most talented artificers of our era - please do a collab. I'm *begging*.
I love to see Nerdforge getting some GAWD DAMN recognition!! It's a shame that Martina's genuinely beautiful visuals artistry couldn't be shown due to space limitations. She is an amazing painter. Her work with depth and color is insane and that's with the textual dimension being absent on video!
I would say the brief before and after images of the XBox case SCREAM about her artistic ability. To see those vibrant and varied colours on all the "trash" and then to see the final product boggles my non-artistic brain.
What Adam is really saying about the Steampunk Tower is: "I am so appreciative that there's not a single damn cog or sprocket glued to this thing in the middle of nowhere, not connected to anything." Craft store bags of clockwork pieces glued to surfaces does not a steampunk anything make.
It's one of the cardinal rules of steampunk. The described technology needs to have logical sense and at least be THEORETICALLY functional. It's not just cosmetics. Steampunk is an offshoot of science fiction. The date may have changed bu it still must retain the "science."
To be clear, gears can be used as aesthetic pieces, but there needs to be and underlying sense of functionality to the whole. A baseball cap spray painted black with 30 gears glued to it isn't steampunk. But a Homburg with a gear as the central part of the bow and other metal elements for the loops and weathering to imply riding goggles had adorned them in the past is even if the gear isn't implied to be mechanically used because the piece as a whole is made to have a place in the environment.
@@hraefn1821 Unless it's supposed to be Magitek, but even so, Magitek items still tend to look like they were designed and assembled, not mashed together with glue into some kind of watch part katamari.
This literally made me cry.. Two of my favorite channels coming together, two amazing maker channels sharing a passion and love and adoration for one another. Something I never thought I would see. This just made my heart so freaking happy. Thank you Martina, Hansi and Adam!!
when makers come together it's a so obvious. there's almost an audible sigh of relaxation in the terminology they can use in their convasation. martina is a very skilled maker/artist and being in the presence of adam does not go unnoticed with her. love to see the respect.
Martina and Hansi are a class act. Super wholesome and they have a complimentary skill set which is always fun to see. Every time they post, i go back watch more of their older videos.
@@wangamanga2128 I was also trying different things, 1920 put me way off though, in the end what got me the result was "artwork mannequin filled with shaving brushes in resin" without the quotationmarks
Yay! I was really hoping Nerdforge would be able to display some other things they have created over the years aside from Martina’s handmade pinky prosthetic glove. Definitely time for Adam to take a trip to their creative castle now.
I love the detail and creativeness that Martina and Hansi put into all their work. I also love that if things go wrong, they invariably tell us and explain how they have either started again or found a way to fix it. Between them they make a fantastic pairing.
Ahhh I'm so jealous of Adam! I'm so happy you guys came together for this. It's wonderful to see such great creators bouncing ideas of of each other! And its comforting to know that trusting the process is the same no matter what.
Great to see the introduction of the people from these two channels. Nerdforge does so much cool stuff, and no matter what Martina tackles she seems to be pull it off. They could easily become the Weta Workshop of Scandinavia

Two of my favorite makers (counting NerdForge as one) together is fantastic. I truly love both and it is a real pleasure to see you interact with each other. I’d love to see some collaboration between you on a project or two, acknowledging that there is a geographic challenge.
100% the best collab I never knew I needed. I could just sit in a corner and watch these absolute nerds yell at each other for hours. I love the XBox shell, it looks like a steampunk proton pack from a 19th-century GB!
When Nerdforge first show cased the resin diaroama cubes - I believe it was done by or collabbed with the maker My Story Box - I reached out ot them and commissioned my own version, custom made with my favorite character from my favorite books (Death from Discworld) - it's stunning and I love it - so happy to see that popup in the Cave!
If you’re feeling pedantic a monogram is a design in which the letters share parts/are fully connected and a cypher is one where they aren’t. If you aren’t feeling pedantic then it truly doesn’t matter which one you use 😂.

Love seeing how happy Adam gets when nerdforged is over, I really hope to see them collaborate on a project sometime, so much genius to learn from and spread around, it would be amazing to see what you all could produce

These two are so freaking amazingly talented and creative. Truly inspirational to even maker-wannabees like me. Seeing Adam's reactions to these examples (Steampunk X-Box) of their work is so enjoyable.

You are one of the first people that helped me feel normal. My reactions to stuff like this mirrors yours so much. My hat is off to you, sir! Stay humble and curious--keep the cat close, though: you gonna need a few of those lives...LOL! Respect, my dude! Nothing better than nerds rockin out like nerds--and Nerdforge is a literal couple! Talk about Couples Goals. My wife of almost 14 years (August 10th) and I love stuff like this. We both have different interests and, not to insult my wife--definitely A for effort and still not understanding--we both love to share our interests and nerding out in our own way. Best coming together moment is Harry Potter. We both LOVE all of it. I found a series of 4 books that was literally Harry Potter if he was a computer programmer from Cupertino. My wife LOVED it. I did have to explain a few bits, but she GOT IT! Couple's Goals. And she LOVES getting her hands dirty helping me in the shop. Casting blanks, working on the cars, helping me when my creativity is hitting a brick wall. And she loves that I help her with her sewing, quilting, figuring out--within my ability--why her sewing machine keeps breaking thread. The look on her face when she learned I was using my mom's late 70's Kenmore sewing machine (built into the wood desk thing) was priceless. She loves to laugh at me since I still can't thread the darn thing to save my life. But I can use it!
Must feel surreal meeting your "childhood hero" and he's admiring your work and effort like Adam does. So wholesome to watch. Am Happy for Nerdforge. Would love to see a collab in the future.

Mythbusters was a great inspiration for scientists, engineers and builders while it was on air. Glad to see Adam has continued making cool things and inspiring a new generation of builders
I love that three awesome creators come together and admire and learn from each other. I have enjoyed watching Adam from his days on Mythbusters. He was always so fun and I learned a lot from that show. I have been following Nerdforge for a long time and what they can do is very impressive. Their knowledge and skills is awe inspiring. I am feeling out that they have come together like this more than once . It is very nice to see.
This just makes me happy in so many ways. It's two sides of the same world coming together and I am here for it! Def would love to see Adam visit Nerdforge so they can showcase him!
I love watching Adam gush over how amazingly cool all of Martina and Hansi's creations are - the best compliments you can get are from other professionals in your field.
Those were great builds. Nice they came out to your cave and got to show off their builds. I hope you can do another video with them and let them react to some of your builds, or chat about the ideas in the cave that they want to implement when they get back.
