I'm sure this will be painful and emotional to listen to, yet still looking forward to it. It's usually hard to know what kind of person one is from just watching them perform on TV. But some people shine through their TV personas, revealing their true niceness and thoughtfulness. Grant was clearly one of those wonderful human beings. As is Adam.

Many of us gather here on this video to remember Grant! RIP Grant. I was shocked to see the news to say the least! The good die young Would be an awesome tribute if the rest of the crew (Jamie, Kari and Tori and of course Adam) could come together (virtually, given these times) and remember fond moments from mythbusters or even outside of it. Though this may be too raw and personal for now. The mythbusters show definitely impacted me in terms of becoming interested in science and I am currently doing my PhD. I will remember you Grant when I ever need a bit of motivation! RIP

There's so many young people, like myself, who were inspired to pursue STEM and other technical fields in part by the Mythbusters crew. I'd like to think that Grant's legacy lives on through us and that we can inspire the next generation in the same way that he did. Rest easy Grant.

Let your passing be a reminder that in the end we're all human, none of us above the other, and that just as easily as we were given life, it can be just as easily taken away. RIP Grant. I never had a chance to meet you but I grew up watching you on my favourite TV program every weekend when I visited my dad because he had all the channels. You always inspired me and set an example for the kinds of things I could do with my life. You might be gone, unable to go to work and do what you have always done. But you will always be here on earth and wherever we as humans take you in the form of the shows you helped create, the crazy contraptions you built, and the memories you made for those around you and those who never did get the chance to meet you.

I am so sorry about the loss of Grant. I myself watched Mythbusters since i was 9, and i also Followed Grant’s Career in Bot-Fighting. I only caught wind of the loss just a few minutes ago, and immediately searched your twitter and youtube. It will leave a hole in my engineer-heart at his loss, but this reminds me of something i believe you once said when you were asked about life’s difficulties; “When things get in the way and life gets hard, you just gotta get to work, work on a solution, and just keep working. When things come out of the shop they arent going to be great at first but you still just gotta keep working and keep making.” Indeed i will keep making.

Grant’s death was such a shock and hurt so much. I only knew him from the shows, but he seemed so kind and genuine. I’m so sorry for the loss of your good friend, Adam. My father also died of an aneurysm, and it sucks. It happens without warning, and often doesn’t give you a chance to say goodbye.

Grant kept me watching Mythbusters (he was my favourite after Adam). Mythbusters developed my love of science. Science inspired me to pursue medicine as a career. That career opened the door to the rest of my life I never forgot where it started (hence me watching Tested). Grant changed lives for the better wherever he went and whatever he did, and the world is a darker, crueller place for his passing. His family and friends are in my thoughts. He will be missed but never forgotten.

Devastating news about Grant. Like so many here, Mythbusters inspired me to pursue creative things, try untried ideas, and always take a scientific view to everything. Every Tool’s a Hammer is what keeps me going. It’s like the A Brief History of Time for astrophysics. The section about having to go through multiple designs helped me so much in my last project, and I ended up going through 6 different iterations before I got it right. Best book I’ve ever picked up

Grant was exactly the kind of person that this world so desperately needs many more of. Friendly, humble, smart, curious, inspiring and scientific but without losing the fun "mad scientist inner child side". Although I've never met him, I'm glad I've shared an intersection of time with him on this planet. He'll be incredibly missed and I bet he would have loved to see another 3-5 decades of technological progress. It's somewhat comforting that so many people all of the world have been inspired by him. Even though it's still way to young, it's a wonderful legacy. Thank you for everything Grant!

I made a hammer with TIG-brazed bronze faces based on those Mythbusters steamfitter's hammers in my welding classes. I later added a spike on the handle endcap so that the hammer can double as a welding hold-down tool. Also RIP, Grant. My family was shocked by your passing.

Grant was an exceptional engineer and a wonderful man. He will be dearly missed. Not to abruptly change the subject, but that exact hammer can be found in the SPI (Swiss Precision Instruments) catalog. They come in various sizes. That is the only place I have personally found them. Thank you Adam for continuing to entertain me with the 'One Day Builds' and your 'Favorite Tools.' I look forward to these videos the most, as I find my mind works very similar to yours when creating (maybe just a little neater, lol).

Today’s sad news hit home hard. Grant Imahara was an international treasure. Just a case of real bad luck, and that sucks. I suffered from an freak accuring aneurysm earlier this year and I escaped unscathed. Each day I realise more and more how lucky I was. My most sincere condolences to all his loved ones. My thoughts are with you.

Oh god, I'm just so gutted to hear of Grant's passing. I realise these things are pre-recorded, & I'm certain Adam will post a obituary for him at the appropriate time. The crew of Mythbusters, are entirely responsible for me being an electrical engineer, they & particularly Carrie, showed me I COULD chase my dream. I'm missing you already Grant, & will every time I watch re- run of the show. RIP Hun!
