Adam, It is Positive and Negative. In AC or DC circuits, ground is only needed for mains power safety USA electric code: A 2-wire, dc system supplying premises wiring and operating at greater than 60 volts but not greater than 300 volts shall be grounded. Especially LED's, ground is not needed.

Totally agree. And remember that movies of that era didn’t really use LEDs. Much like C-3POs eyes, they were incandescent bulbs which yielded more of a champagne color to the light.

I only use incandescent tinted LEDs in my home, they definitely are more cozy. White LEDs are too sterile and highlight the finer details that we don't wanna see, like scratches, etc

I’ve got one cat that will fight to the death to stay out of a carrier. The other, I just leave the door open and she goes in to take a nap.

@@hughmann3952 One of my boys sleeps in his backpack carrier during the day. He's an adventure cat through and through.

I keep a folded towel in my cat carrier for padding. 2 days before the vet trip, I leave the carrier open in the living room between some furniture. Usually, when I go to collect the cat, I find him snoozing in the carrier, so I only need to close the door.

@@hughmann3952 I think there are two effective techniques for getting a cat into a carrier: 1. Not feeding the cat for twelve hours prior to the vet appointment, then baiting the carrier with tuna and catnip. 2. Chloroform.

@@snaplash A friend of mine got a few impressive lacerations in getting her foul tempered cat to the vet. When the vet told her he was done and she could put Mr. Whiskers back in the case, she told the vet it was his turn - and good luck. Then, she went out to her car and lit one up. True story.

I HIGHLY recommend the "old style" cat carriers. It's an easy build. They are dome shaped with hardware cloth making most of the dome. The dome also has hinges, so can open. The walls and ends are primarily light plywood in the dome shape - a slightly smaller dome shape with a couple of hinges is a door. A small piece of wood runs along the top of the dome for rigidity, and a small handle is mounted on that. The floor is also plywood. I am drawing this from memory as I don't feel like digging out mine ! Lol ! The main reason to make this is that they are sturdy. You can NOT stack anything on top of them ! (Yes, I like stacking things, but not when my cat is IN the stack!), they are DEAD EASY to get a cat in or out of them ! (To insert cat, place carrier on its end with side door facing up and open. Scruff cat firmly, and grasp their back legs firmly but gently. Lower cat into crate, back feet first. As you lower cat, release grasp on back legs & start closing door. Let go of scruff and close door. Most cats will hesitate for a moment, giving you time to get your hand out!) When you get to the Vet office they will use the larger dome hatch to get cat out. I worked as a Vet. Tech. for years and we LOVED these carriers ! You can cover with a towel so cat feels more secure. In the old days, folks had a matching pillow and cover for them. You could paint or stain the plywood however you like. Another benefit is when you pick up your pet and there are 50 carriers & the Tech. is trying to find YOUR carrier to put YOUR cat in. It's TONS faster to be able to say, "It's a dome top with daisies on it!" Most folks NEVER remember what their crate looks like ! Lol ! If you're an internet sleuth, I bet you could find old "shop drawings" from 1950 & 1960 handyman type magazines ! If you plan on flying, most airlines publish dimensions carriers can be to fly with them. If that is in the cards, I would make it MUCH sturdier. Happy Building !
