This was a horrible answer by the commissioner. The fact is that he banned Donald Sterling for life, and he should've done the same thing to Sarver.

The amount of bad things I've heard about Sarver is astronomical. How he's still an owner is beyond me.

While I agree, that this owner also should be reprimanded much more severely than this. The problem is, there are different precedents, between him and Donald Sterling, he was not taped or recorded to have done this even though he was in fact by virtue of other people stating what he did and how he treated people, if this was taken to court, that would all be relegated to hearsay in a court of law and there's no evidence or should I say no physical evidence other that witnesses testifying to that aspect. And Adam is right in one regard, how the NBA bylaws and their constitution is set up, he can't alone outright remove him just as was the case with Donald Sterling, he needs a a majority vote by the 29 other owners to be able to do this, then has to go through court afterwards to get the owner to forcibly sell the team. And that can still happen if backlash continues to stream from this... But I can agree here. The NBA right now is not in a good spot after what transpired. What makes this so bad, was the fact that when Donald was caught doing what he did, the NBA and just about all the owners were in unison on forcing Donald to sell the team. Very swiftly I may add, and just because Sarver was not caught vocally or visually to have done those acts, Adam can't really even answer the question when it was found that Sarver did do these acts. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out and if in time Adam will end up having to save face by reversing what they decided and do what they did with Donald because I see nothing good that came from that presser in this matter.

Adam Silver should have put that idiot in his place more emphatically. My guess is that the Commissioner would cut Sarver's head off in a breath if he could. He has to go through the other owners, 75% of whom must vote to enable Silver to force Sarver out. The case of Donald Sterling was so flagrant band public that it must have been clear that there would be enough votes to throw him out. I believe that the one thing that kept Silver from bringing up the subject to an owners' vote is that there soesnt appear to be as clear a consensus. It would be disastrous to call for a vote and fall short.
