A lot of people say he's too easy but if you min max your character in any game according to a meta the game is usually too easy. I don't know how people would be satisfied if he was lore accurate. He would be virtually invincible.
I think the expectation of “final bosses” that people have nowadays are like Souls-type gameswhere it’s near impossible but if you play rpg games like Cyberpunk, the Witcher or Fallout then yeah you’re right. you’re almost guaranteed to be overpowered at some point in the game
@@sebatomic870 and that removes v's ability to kill smasher how? V runs through a shit ton of NUSA elites or if you help reed he demolishes a maxtec squad. V not fighting smasher in a blatantly not canon ending doesnt take away from his solo skills and cybernetic enhancements lmao. in any ending v is more than capable of beating smasher
If you're in sandevistan long enough, he matches your speed, and the person playing also used every consumable and buff under the sun to stay alive here. He's definitely a pain in the ass for anyone with their guard caught down, but as with most things, once you get good enough at it there is hardly anything that is difficult anymore, and V can just chrome the fuck up without a lot of effective debuffs.
@@ping-a-ling682like,you just need to keep distance,V easily outruns smasher in terms of agility even with no reflex points and other wise can just parry if he tries to melee punch them, rockets can be tanked with blood pump, for snipers... u just shred them in few seconds cause they are joke Basically i stomped Smasher with Byakko, modified Punk Knife and Fenrir and Apogee sandy with Quantum tuner
He wasn't meant to be hard. He was meant to be a unique boss fight compared to a recycled Beat on the Brat boss. He used to fight like Ozob. Fun fact, you can beat him with tier 4 memory wipe then climb on his back 3 times. He dies.
agree. in very hard, it's easy to wipe enemies after you get tier 3 implants and guns. the perks are way too OP especially for pistols and blades. even the dash and double jumping mechanic is questionable. the perks and guns are just poorly balanced.
Y'all want all games to be Dark Souls, for me Cyberpunk feels a lot more like Devil May Cry, not so much as fighting for your life in every single encounter, but rather showing off and mowing down hoards of enemies, what do you expect? You're a super augmented cyborg that can dash around in the blink of an eye.
@@bautistahernandezfernandoa85 no, i like reaching that level, but it's dumb to just mow down enemies too early in the game. hit lvl 20 to 30 and everything is just easy
@@fbmw98Then just don't use mods. In my first playthrough, selected hard difficulty and played most of the game without any mods except the later missions. Just using guns. No sandy, no quickhacks, no movement buffs, no health buffs , no grenades. Just pure FPS feel. Corner peeking, ambush, sniping, and it was fun. I didn't mod bcz I didnt knew about it. I never went to a ripperdoc and just focused on completing main story.
At this point i don’t think he needs to become more of a bullet sponge. Just harder to get a hold of. I know smasher intentionally doesn’t dodge, but his sandy should almost nullify ours in some sort of bad ass way.
Someone is going to do an overly lore accurate mod eventually, making him nigh impossible to beat. Where the fight becomes a dark souls boss in the middle of a bullet hell. I think he could be revamped with spins on the boss: - His ICE is impenetrable, so you need to weaken his defenses in the environment (you are in a server room at arasaka HQ after all) - Basically spamming rockets whenever he isn't doing anything else - The ability to grapple the player or perform an aoe "revenge" attack when too much damage occurs over a short period of time - Grabbing spare parts, since hes a combat cyborg and could easily just grab another arm - Insta kill moves on very hard These all require significant engineering effort and tuning however, this does show how hard it is to make a good boss fight. IMHO this boss is at a good spot for the average player, especially since this game is designed with player freedom in mind at the forefront. However, difficulty spikes, can force players to have more enjoyable experiences; at the end of the game you're killing a legendary something so it should make you sweat a bit more than the garden variety bosses you've encountered.
I think rn smasher is okay, the problem is V is too OP. in very hard, it's easy to wipe enemies after you get tier 3 implants and guns. the perks are way too OP especially for pistols and blades. even the dashing and double jumping mechanic is questionable. the perks and guns are just poorly balanced. landing headshots is way too easy, and the damage multiplier for headshot is too high especially after you get all the pistol perks. I just wish they make the skill/perk tree simpler and just unlocks abilities, no numbers.
I don’t quite understand why can’t they make smasher dodges like the other random Skull npcs that have sande. You know some of them can literally dodge all your attacks even when sande is activated
There are only 2 problems: his attacks are too slow and lock him in place way too easily And a more glaring one: He should be able to nullify any sort of Sandevistan. Period.
Yup....always hated the boss fights where they got a 1 time total restoration of the their health bar, the only real advantage V has is his unlimited health boosters that got limited with 2.0 and its updates to make it so you had to find cover to restore your boosters, but V cant be killed (unless 1 shotted) with a bit of care given to moving and hiding. Damage over time done to Bosses is the only way to win (Hansen, etc.). The rest is adapting to their attacks by getting away from their leap/lunge animation attacks. Smasher doing Quake, LOL. On very hard 2.02, he was one shotting me from across the room and he doesn' use a sniper, and I didn't see any missle launch, so WTF? Looks like fun however. On 1.63 I killed him in 24 seconds on very hard, he didn't leave the door alive, so yah...not much of a boss fight.
i feel like he was much harder in 2.1 for me he would like constantly sandy behind me over and over and it felt much faster than it seems in the video i didnt have an optimal build but not a bad one either and it was actually a lot of fun but this just does not seem like the same fight i fought lol
I beat him at level 40 using no exploits of any kind, the only time his health bar wasn’t going down was when his immunity phases were up. I was using pretty much only mantis blades and the militech falcon sandy, nothing above tier 5+. This isn’t bragging, I’m just saying I think he should be a bit harder
The answer is yes, he's way too easy. But it's a good start, needs faster attacks that scale with your own slow time (imagine how cool it would be if you use sandy and he speeds up to match you). And needs more HP, more damage. BUT it's rly fun now, 100x better.
he's still way too easy but yeah definitely an improvement hope they will listen to us once more and give the us the pure lore accurate adam smasher after watching these vids
ppl say hes too easy and shit but how about that: try for once a gameplay where you dont check youtube guides and vids on where to find best gear and other shit, build your char yourself for once not following op builds/guides and try playing like it was ment to be ;d it wont be that easy for sure
I love how people consider edgerunners lore accurate when smasher is Mike Pondsmiths ip. Yes edgerunners is canon but its also anime aaaand anime made by trigger so yeah.....
