I like this kind of music that unfortunally is so seldom to be heard and Adam Swanson is its unique master.

Thank you ! I’m back in my mother’s living room hearing her Kathleen Tannyhill Hull playing her baby grand piano. she was born in1903 . I was born in1939. Still play tenor sax but not as well as my mother played piano. Thanks for stirring wonderful memories.

Hey Adam, I found you from old TomBrier duets. Remember what you're giving when you improvise -- you're showing many people who have no idea that such a thing is even possible. I hope children that aspire to musicianship get a taste of this before they "settle for less" and consign themselves to a lifetime of uncreative busywork. Your small channel size is so at odds with your level of skill. I'll enjoy watching it grow. Recommend you take live requests and muck around with styles, and just keep a livestream running while you're practicing. Also how about breaking into singing while you play? I can't imagine it would take you more than 3 months to work up a good singing voice. Break thru the comfort barrier & fly. Just an idea ;)

Great old time music. Thku. [ From an Aussie: Australian] Is this 1800 music of the Cowboy & Indian era. Like you'd here on the tv show: Bonanza! Is the music: Charlie Chaplin, 3 Stooges era, too? You're a great pianist. Thku.

The quick answer would be "no." This is classic jazz of early 1900s New Orleans, Chicago, and New York. The western "saloon" piano sound would have been a slightly earlier era.
