Seeing Adam be portrayed as an misogynistic asshole in Hazbin Hotel after being inspired by his portrayal in Record of Ragnarok was such a jarring experience for me.
@@user-mz9xo3hx1h You know what I meant. It's not every day I see the first man get adapted in media, so seeing what HH Adam was like just caught me off guard.
@@BuzryHaproMandalorianHunter I’m really not trying to be rude. I’m really not but why do you need to correct me when all it is Literally the same thing? Yes they are different sentences.”a punch that surpasses time” “the fist that surpassed time” there is literally next to no difference again, I’m not trying to be disrespectful. I just really need to know.
@@BuzryHaproMandalorianHunter OK so if I’m getting this right the reason you are correcting me on a sentence that could be interchangeable with the variant of the same sentence that you have given me is because one is a movement. The other is a gesture you make with your hand? honestly I don’t why are we debating this?
Adam sat there and said “I’m tired of these gods bullying my children I’m gonna throw hands with their boss” and then for someone who isn’t one of his children look at his children in hell and say “I’ll try to redeem you” I think he wouldn’t just approve. He would downright do his best to help Charlie in anyway he could.
@@LoganZirbel-uy2qp - That’s what I’m saying anyone who’s willig throw down with literally gods to save humans is definitely going to help and try to redeem them. That’s and some of the God in RoR who would get a kick out of seeing humans getting killed by angels of all things
There both good characters made based on diferent titles, but in reality, HH Adam was made to be that dick of a father that drinks and beats his wife. While the other RoR Adam was made to be the man that everybody wants to grow up to be and strives to become, there both good, but one is simple and perfect... and the other just uses his name for clout 😂😂😂
I don’t see this is cut and dry as a lot of people think. Do I think Adam solos yes as that hazbin versus is right now definitely. But we really haven’t seen anything from what the real high tears of the hazbin verse can do. Because I think if we actually got more feats and statements on what certain characters can and cannot do, then I would consider it a more fair fight. Because even a character like Lucifer, who is inferred to be the strongest being in hell has not given us any feats that could get him above high building level. Whereas the record of Ragnarok could be downscaled to planetary (if you are being as ingenuous as possible) So all honesty I think if we were to see a battle between maybe Sarah and Lucifer, then we could make a good argument on Lucifer being somewhere in the realms of planetary if not a little below or above but other than that Adam solos
@@Pr0fessorUnkn0wn to be fair all of Zeus's attacks were almost light speed in nature. His Adamas form is just the ace in the hole. If Adam can still use that then it's wraps for like 90% of anything he has to fight
@@ImADeity Just a correction, it's "Adamas", not "Adonis" Also, now that I think about it, couldn't Adam have copied Zeus' final form? He was already matching Zeus blow to blow during their final exchange, maybe he could have copied Zeus' final form to gain a little bit advantage (although it may have destroyed his body faster)
@@AzureTank776 I'm pretty sure he copied his punches but he got hurt by Zeus's poison blood. Which I think is total BS, Adam should have won, But I digress. Zeus one by having an unfair advantage built into his biology. But no matter what happens, Adam showed us that we can in fact break gods. God Breaker Adam is beating Fratbro Adam every day of the week.
@@ImADeity It wasn't because of any poison, but the blood did hit his eye in the middle of the match - which was kind of just for drama, they made a point that Adam's eyes were basically overheating because he couldn't turn the Eyes of The Lord off even for a second, because there was no way he could dodge's Zeus' attacks otherwise and each punch was supposed to be fatal. His eyes would've malfunctioned soon, the blood just happened to speed up the process a bit. The most interesting, part, however, is that Adam TANKED the punches that were supposed to be lethal to quite literally anyone else. MULTIPLE TIMES. And then grabbed Zeus and started to beat the shit out of him WHILE RECEIVING MORE OF SAID PUNCHES. Even Adam's durability is on another level, which is insane because it shows that his stats truly ARE absurdly high, even without the Eyes' boost. I get why Adam didn't won from a narrative standpoint but god damn it if it isn't Rock Lee vs Gaara all over again
Adam in RoR: All of humanity are my children and I shall do what I can to protect them Adam in HH: I’m the father of humanity, so I deserve to be looked at like a god
Yep but the fact that HH Adam was made by Vivzy, i dont hate his design or character, i just hate that the series is good but falls over the so many bad words path, i almost felt like i was watching something straight out of New York with how many insults and bad words they were 😂😂😂
@@danielmejias7609As a Christian and a writer myself, her story isn't bad at all and probably one of the most realistic depictions of heaven, hell, ect I've seen in media. Especially since she uses the original version of the bible stories, not the modern corrupt versions. Ofc since writes stories and understand how hard it is especially using such a major topic like Christianity, I can properly appreciate her work.
@@fennek1nviking"Original version of the Bible stories"? Yeah, that's bull. Also, _Hazbin Hotel's_ version of Adam is the farthest thing from being holy. He finds lesbianism hot, even though homosexuality is a sin in the Bible. It also says a lot about Vivziepop that she thinks that Heaven would be filled with crass, vulgar language. There's nothing "Christian" about that show or its sister series _Helluva Boss._
HH Adam talks a big game, but without his gear he bitches out pretty easily. And RoR Adam is actually the type to definitely be backing Charlie's idea. Hell, he'd probably be willing to forgive Lucifer for what happened.
In case anybody misses the point of your comment, comparing Hazbin Hotel Adam to Record of Ragnarok Adam is like comparing Homelander from The Boys (comic and show) to Omni-Man from Invincible (comic and show).
Yeah, but Charlie's idea comes from the writers' lack of theological understanding. During the Rapture is judgement day, where all of the wicked souls do get a second chance, so the entire idea of the hotel is a waste of time and energy entirely. Sorry, just wanted to get that off my chest and this was the first place I found.
This makes me wanna see Death Battle cover HH’s Adam VS ROR’s Adam so badly more than ever lmao. If we ever get an 11th season that is. I know it’s gonna be a stomp, but considering it could be another "Omni-Man VS Homelander", that makes me even more excited! BEAT THAT FRUAD TO A PULP DAD!
@fishyboi2132 Plus HH Adam doesn't have any feats that can put him above ROR Adam. ROR Adam has kept up with Zeus who can punch faster than time and Adam still could punch back. Zeus claims that he and other gods can destroy the earth and the Big Bang isn't a threat to him. So there's nothing that HH Adam has that can go way above ROR Zeus. I'm sorry but this fight would be another Homelander Vs Omniman fight with HH Adam being Homelander amd ROR Adam being Omni-man
Technically no, it's the gods being unfair in my opinion because Adam did beat zeus it's only he beat him AFTER his heart stopped beating but his body still beat the ever living guts out of Zeus, I still think it should be a tie.
@@ShaanElahi-i3f It's unfortunate that the contestants have to die to win because Zeus admitted that if it were a battle of endurance, Adam would've won. Zeus knew that Adam should've won, especially when he absolutely got brutally beaten up and dropped to the floor while Adam's lifeless body was still standing. Adam won right there if it was the battle of endurance.
@@baba_c9035 He basically was king of earth, the strongest human being to ever exist, possesses a spear that can kill gods and make them as vulnerable as a mortal, has killed a god, has made a portal that crosses dimensions, and is overall EXTREMELY OP
@@Hunter-jn2lw Homelander is basically a child in an adult's body who grows up being an overpowered biological weapon and is used to always being told "yes", which makes him very impulsive, trigger-happy, and narcissistic. The comic version of Homelander is even worse, I think, considering the comic is written to be edgy for the sake of being edgy.
RoR Adam solos the entire Hazbin Hotel verse so far. Not only he is physically superior than nearly anyone, but his Eyes of the Lord ability is just stupid broken, capable of copying any moveset from anyone he sees flawlessly.
Yeah good luck trying to copy angels and demons. *remembers that he copies literal gods* You know what, never mind. He does solo the Hazbin Hotel verse.
@@johngona5929the only reason he wouldn't is Charlie. Her simply talking to him could win him over to her side. I'm not saying he couldn't beat her, just that he doesn't need to.
@@ladykoiwolfehe would definitely help the sinners reform because his reason for fighting was not of revenge against the gods but for humanity and all of their flaws
RoR: " You are slaughtering your children." HH: " You mean the children who slaughtered my other children who are innocent? The same children who do nothing, but hurt each other everyday in hell because they are allowed to?"
You mean the children whom he was commanded to treat how he'd wish to be treated? Plus, the constant harming of one another is kinda the punishment in hazbin ho-hell? Imma be real, no defense for hazbin adam. Worst part of the show, is what I would say if the pacing and overall writing weren't the issues
@@kaeldavidson6898 How is it considered punishment when Lilith, the queen of hell, literally used her voice to encourage the people of hell to do those things? How is it punishment when they take pleasure into hurting one another? Also Adam was born and died before Jesus was born so he probably didn't get the memo.
Adam RoR : "The truth is, being a father is about standing strong through the storms, refusing to give up on your children no matter how dark the skies may seem. It's about persevering through every mistake, every conflict, and every tear shed. You see, a father's love isn't conditional, it's unwavering. It's a love that's willing to weather any tempest, to brave every challenge, and to fight for every smile. A father's love is a beacon of hope in the darkest of times, a reminder that no matter how bleak the circumstances may seem, there is always a way forward. So, you never give up on your children, you never lose faith in them, and you never stop loving them. Because that's what a father does - he fights for his children, he dies for his children, and he loves them with every fiber of his being."
Adam from RoR if one of my all time favourite anime character and he is the best version of Adam. This is just a side note not important to the hole Adam RoR is the best. I think Ducky No Swear should have The Doctor from Doctor Who in one of these shorts. Does anyone agree?
I mean. Before the fall he’d be invincible, immortal, invulnerable. And whatever perfect God made body would give him but fighting wouldn’t really be a thing.
You do realize he still had to survive Primordial Earth with only him and Eve right? Ya’ll are acting so ignorant acting like Adam didn’t do any hard work in the HH series. He literally commands an army. That take tactical knowledge and also good leadership skills.
But didn’t Adam put up a good fight. He only lost because Lucifer is stronger than him. He being killed by Nifty was because he was too busy ranting to notice her approaching him.
@@moondivine2288 He has power cause he's one of Heaven's generals. But he just has power, and has never needed to truly try. It's the whole homerlander vs Omniman gig: When the school bully meets an MMA fighter.
@@drewholmes7356 but didn’t you say anyone can throw hands with HH Adam and win? If that was the case the last episode would have been shorter. Heck Alastor probably believed in what you thought and that’s why he lost. Though I’m sure Hazbin will have more challenges villains at least Adam even if he used only power did put up a good fight.
Imagine if Adam from RoR momentarily kidnaps William Afton from his Hell in Ultimate Custom Night and sends him to kill and fuck up Adam from HH whilst he and Old Man Consequences deal with helping Cassidy move on
Well I believe he is corrupted We might find out later Because the credit did say on a podcast. That would be surprised who the real villainous at the end of everything
@@addison_v_ertisement1678 no, it's genuinely true. In the Hazbin lore, Eve ate the Fruit from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, but Adam didn't. That's why Adam is in Heaven and why everyone in Heaven puts up with his behavior. He literally doesn't know the difference between Good and Evil. But he knows that Heaven is for good people, and he's in Heaven, so everything he does MUST be good, from his perspective, because otherwise he wouldn't be there.
I have been going off to like all of my friends and talking about how a record of Ragnarok had such a more flattering depiction of atom that hazbin hotel did
Okay I'll say it since no one else will, these two were not nade the same nor did they live the same life. Honestly RoR Adam got it great in comparison because HH Adam (whether you agree or not from his perspective) was betrayed by both his wives who were literally made for him, got kicked out of paradise for Eve's fuck up (Lucifer gives her the apple that created sin and Hell), he hates Lucifer and sinners, instead of Sinners being punished for eternity Lilith his ex-wife who left him for the literal creator of Sin props them up with both magic power and a city for them, now the vast majority of his descendants are riddled with sin and are stuck battling it for eternity. I'd hate all of them too. Also it looks like Adam only really behaved very poorly when the sinners, betrayal (from his POV or otherwise), anything or anyone to do with Lucifer or Lilith including their daughter who Lucifer's dumbass thought was a good idea to send to mewt Adam in his place. Why would Adam be nice or respectful when dealing with ANY of these people. The angels seem to know he's a potty mouth but he seemed well received otherwise so maybe he only acted like this all the time because all his screen time was dealing with the people he hates most in all of creation. Just because he's an asshole doesn't mean he doesn't mean he can't have a point sometimes. Hell, Lute even actually cared and respected him despite his personality and he even smiled at her since she was actually by his side till the end.
Well probably see more that will make Adam more or less likeable. There could be a good reason both of his partners left him. He could have always been an immature asshole who treated people poorly, but also understood how to keep up appearances for those who matter. On the other hand he could have been in a relationship where he wasnt a bad guy or where both partners are at fault and lucifer got played by someone who knew how to look like a victim. Theres a lot of ways those unseen moments could go that might make us see a few characters differently. That being said, we do see how RoR Adam was prior to being booted out from heaven, and I quite simply dont see his loved ones ever turning their backs on him. As the first man, hes an aspirational figure and he has an ideal relationship with his love. HH Adam is not supposed to be an aspirational figure and he pretty heavily embodies a lot of humanities worst traits, even if he might have redeeming qualities.
@@NightWing1800 all good points I just didn't want to make my long comment longer covering all bases. The idea of Adam of being flawed but still having reasons for turning into who he is now is an attractive idea which is probably why I'm really into all these fan comics about Adam when he interacts with others in Heaven and before becoming an angel and what Eve was like. Found lots of good ones that show he's still an ass but he's not so bad and you kind of understand the hate for sinners and how he doesn't see them as "his" since they were corrupted by Lucifer and are now his subjects.
There's also the fact that, in Hazbin, Adam didn't eat the apple. So he physically cannot sin because he literally doesn't know the difference between good and evil.
Also, Adam is no bitch in Hazbin Hotel. He wasn’t trying to run from the fight with Lucifer, despite being outclassed. He had beaten Alastor and Charlie beforehand as well. He’s not the Head Exorcist for nothing.
even outside of the context of Record Of Ragnarok, biblical Adam would still have a great advantage because after he and Eve were kicked out of the garden, they had to survive off of nothing. Adam had to fight and kill to survive, all the while raising two kids with his wife. (and i imagine letting go of resentment and teaching his kids how to be good people in the way of God would earn him some good boy points with the lord, possibly getting himself a blessing) (I can picture biblical Adam going "you have made an inexcusable mockery of my image." and just blowing up HH Adam like Dr Manhattan did to Rorschach)
