Merci Simon pour cette super vidéo avec Adam, c'était que du plaisir à regarder. Le pauvre il a souffert même si tu jouais en ayant mis le frein à main. je te souhaite une très longue carrière et j'espère te revoir un jour sur cette chaine.
What you can do (and did) it's out of this world! Alone the way you predicted each and every single snake of Adam (who impacts the ball under the table) is so impressive to me. Thank you both for this video, it was really awesome!
The guy is just on another level wow. To be honest Adam was playing fantastic as well one of his top performances of not the best I saw on the channel, but still it looked like Simon could have risen the level more incase he needed it. Just saw the ranks and he is currently 14th in the world, unbelievable what level you need to achieve to be first.
I know you've featured some amazing players on your channel but he was on another level. I'd be completely lost against your unconventional shots but not only does he handle them easily he is able to execute equally creatively. Was beautiful to watch. Thanks for the content.
First, this is the most entertaining match ever - better than the Saive/Chen one. Then, I always thought you were a little too happy with yourself when snaking an opponent but here you can see it's really nothing but love for the game. He's toying with you like you're usually doing with others and you're enjoying it just as much. Wonderful!
Simon not even trying, going with 50% of power majority of shots, making sure Adam is in the position to receive, still winning 98% of points with over exaggerated funky style. 10/10, epic.
@@goku445 yeah the presence of mind to see where your opponent is at is extremely good in the pros. They can make good split second decisions. It helps that Simon is used to an insane quality of shots coming at him for years and years 😁
That defensive return Simon did at 9-9 in the final game was UNREAL! Must've felt like versing the terminator, whatever Adam seemed to throw at him it just always came back, with interest. Amazing skills, and great fun attitude as always.
This is one of the most interesting matches of World's top player against Adam. Because Simon can easily destroy Adam if he plays direct shot with formal competitive match style, which could be quite monotonic. But instead, Simon is willing to play some tricky and sneaky shots, crazy spiny shots and snake counters, etc, that makes the match really run to watch. Thank you, Simon and Adam, showcasing one of the most interesting match to us.
Best table tennis match I've seen ... ever ! I never laughed that much and never gasped that much in awe... such feeling, many snakes, lots of trickshots, much wow. THANK YOU both so much for the fun and inspiration!
Watched this twice today. Looks like the $100 challenge video which Adam plays with common people. Just the diff being, Adam is on the receiving end today. Must be a great learning experience for him as well.
Goodness me, Adam was outclassed even on the snaking! Simon has incredible feeling for the ball. He made everything he did look effortless. Whatta player!
This level of skill is out of this world. That behind the back serve was better than a lot of people’s regular serve. Also the way he returned your usual point ending shots with ease 🤯
Yeah... and still bunch of Chinese guys would wipe the floor with him! It's at times crazy to think how good the people at the top of the sport really are!
Adam is a pretty good player from an amateur's perspective, and of course you'd expect a world-class pro like Simon to beat him easily, even with a seven-point head start. Still I was absolutely blown away by the ease with which Simon adapted to Adam's style and responded with even crazier shots - while having an incredible lightness to his play and being immensely entertaining at the same time. I think I have not seen any other pro on this channel who showed just a rock-solid performance and at the same time was so much fun to watch. Keep it up - and maybe do a revenge match soon.
Simon has the perfect game to play you Adam! He's always been so clever with touch shots, and pulling out the unexpected. He is always very good against choppers so you were going to be in trouble with this one. Brilliant entertainment and a masterclass from the Frenchman. If you could pick one player on the circuit to have a successful career performing exhibitions when he retires, it would surely be Simon. He's a natural at the showmanship.
I like touch shots, since even at club level it can get a bit repetitive when players are just applying always same strategy, training always same drills, practicing against robot. I find more fun trying different shots like snakes, high balls, drop shots, chop blocks or flat/backspin smashes.
@@jasonanno3881 I mean he was in top 10..and he's a showman too. probably could have just scored every point but he made the match so interesting, returning snakes with other snakes!
@@jasonanno3881 I guess because Simon does what Adam does only better in this video - nobody else has come close to doing that. Every other time Adam has played top stars they've just done what they usually do in a normal match.
The most entertaining match so far. I replayed that shot at 9:45 like 20 times. This guy is amazing. Some of his shots are like he is playing big tennis.
that is one of my favorites haha, like how Xu Xin does sometimes when stuck in the lobbing game. I play penhold and try to recreate Xu Xins super looping style but amateur style, it is super fun!
One of the best and most entertaining matches on this channel! The movement and body control of simon made his shots looks so stable and controlled even during those "crazy" shots. Such an elegant player! Enjoyed every second of the video! Thanks for making my day Adam and Simon :-).
He outsnaked the snake man, used the back paddel defense that is Adam’s signature he played along like a gentleman. He is just amazing! Thank you for sharing this video. Play him again soon Adam. Best wishes!
Some players can follow the logo on the ball to see the spin, for example Timo Boll. Maybe Simon can do it too. I am guessing it is just experience in how the ball approaches him
He is this good while casually playing and can only get to World No.8, imagine what the top players like Ma Long and Fan Zhengdong are capable of. This is insane. I've played the sport with a coach for 2 years and can't possibly imagine the time and effort that is put into this. Great job Adam for sharing this sport to a broader audience.
There are an estimated 300 million table tennis players worldwide. #8 is the top 0.000002667 % (less than one tenth of one tenth of one tenth of one tenth of a percent). He is a top professional player.
Wow, Simon must be the strongest and most talented player on Adam's channel so far. Unbelievable coverage everywhere, including to and past the net for those "bounce back" shots, multiple defenses as well as solid attacking shots, and he can put something extra on every shot even if he's reaching... Never a defensive shot just to keep the ball in play. And, he's got a pretty good snake of his own.
I love how Gauzy mostly held back with his forehand, but ripped disgustingly good backhands without any mercy just because he can. A true backhand man. Also, the snake rallies were so much fun to watch.
Those backhands are insane. I'd give my high teeth to be able to rip those in my local league games - can you imagine it! They'd never come back, that's for sure LOL.
Ive been following your channel for a while and played first class when i was younger, and this guy to me seems to be the best you’ve played against on your channel. He got everything, speed, spin, accuracy, no preferences over backhand or forehand it seems, smart player and full control over the ball no matter what situation. Oh and Adam, congrats on your 1 million mate. That’s absolutely ridiculous and well deserved.
Adam, you are a great player, but it is super impressive to see that there is such a difference in level between you guys... also, it is impressive that you were able to respond to most shots, proving you are a great player yourself... but wow... what a player is Simon!!!
Adam really met his ultimate self. Trying everything from the around the net, trick serve, snakes but Simon does better at every shots. Even Adam got snake bites time and time again. Good match. Simon is on another level. I hope he can go back to the top ten.
this video motivated and inspired me to play table tennis after a year. thank you both for match and thank you for being ambassador of this beautiful game Adam. love your channel and what you do. simon is such a nice and great guy with amazing skills. wish him best in his professional carrier.
Oh my God! I'm so impressed with Simon. Unbelievable skills, great feeling for the ball and amazing creativity!!! And on the top of that, he's so kind👌👌👍👍👍👍👍 Thanks for this video, Adam 😀😀😀
I've enjoyed a lot of videos on this channel, but this is by far my favorite. What a great player Simon is and he put on a great show. Adam played really well too, you can see how much fun both these guys were having. These two need to do this again!
What I find incredible when Adam plays against these ultra pros is how completely and utterly effortless it feels for them. Against Adam. That just shows the chasm of talent between these guys (and girl) and even a semi pro like Adam that runs in circles around most players already. Incredible.
You can tell how much all of Adam's guests just enjoy the hell out of themselves as they play. I have to say, Adam - you surely grabbed a tiger by the tail this time! Holy Cow!!!
I've been following you for a long time now, and this is the first time I see a player like this one. He's like a 2.0 version of you :P So many different snakes/spins... That was incredible. A pure delight ! 😊
That was beautiful. It's a joy to watch a top class player who spins to ball rather that just topspin smashes everything. The amount of spin and ball control was insane.
I’ve never played Table Tennis but since stumbling on your channel 10 days ago, Adam, I can’t stop watching and smiling! Maybe I’ll by a table so I can play with my sons!
i knew with Gauzy it can only get awesome, but this was more than awesome, what a player he is! He is doing some trick shots often in serious matches, but here - wow wow wow , great video Adam and very nice play!!
Outrageous match! Loved that Simon went to play the crazy tricky style Adam plays and did it absolutely sensational! Even outsnaked him :)) Hope to see more matches as this one!
He’s a great athlete for sure but his strategy and instinct of the game is absolutely top notch. This is one of the greatest matches on this channel so far. thank you Adam. His snake is as deadly as yours. Wow.
I watch table tennis for many many years and Simon is probably the most versatile tennis table player of the decade. Just look at all he can do... The spin, serve behind his back, his shots like if Adam was shooting the easiest shots even a children could do (which he isn't), he counter-snakes every snake...He's like the fifa street of tennis table. You don't see the best players in the world having this much creativity. Wow.
I love your videos Adam but this one is amazing, is in another level! I think is the first time i see anyone playing your game style and doing it incredibly well. Just got impressed with Simon!
Pros are just something else :D especially the ones like Gauzy with a lot of feeling. Even at pro level not many can do that with such accuracy 3:55 damn he probably could have made that serve legally I could watch this all day
I have watched soooo many videos on this channel... This has got to be the best actual match I've ever seen, ludicrous skills from the french champ, really enjoyable to watch 👌👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Best match I’ve seen on Adam’s channel so far! And that’s saying something as there’s been sooo many good players and matches! Great shots and clearly great fun by both! 😁👍
Wooow , someone is playing the "Adam Style" better than Adam :))) I didn't think I would see this until now . Anyway It was a real show , and your most addictive ping pong video, Adam ! Congratulation!
I may need to re-watch the previous videos, but this is the first match that I have witnessed Adam have absolutely no chance at all. Even the match he won from 9-0 was a result of Simon's unforced errors.
