They didn't make more money if their Vlad videos got more or less views. However, they do make money off their own channels and podcasts, which is what they're pushing.

Playboi Carti's career is an interesting and very unfortunate turn of events. From 2016 to 2018, he was pure creative gold and was easily on the trajectory to become the biggest rap artist in the world. Vlad doesn’t realize that Carti actually idolized Curren$y growing up, spawning from the A$AP Mob, so it’s not like he doesn’t know how to rap at all or make good songs. However, somewhere after the "Die Lit" album, the dude completely lost his mind and got weird. 😂

As a man with melanin who also came up in the Afro Punk era, I can say that while I get what Adam is saying (Carti's sound does capture aesthetic better than authenticity when it comes to punk, metal, etc) he's completely ignoring that punk, metal, etc speak to a current generation and have never been produced for anyone other than the artists generation and peers to get it. Bad Brains was not made so the silent generation had a soundtrack to rebellion...nor was Rage Against The Machine made so that aging boomers had something for them. That's the game and with it being so, Carti is one of the greats. I don't like him, but I'm not supposed to.

Nah, its a difference, Vlad uses artists on a tear to get views but Adam has scouted out a crazy number of young rappers before they made it big and really even successful. Lil Peep, Xxx, Tekashi, Lil Pump, shoreline mafia etc. People might hate on some of those guys but he was not a vulture.
