Mungatana has been a leader in Tana River for ages yet there's nothing he's done for the people. He wants us to believe that the President must visit your area to get development.

We have soo many competent Kenyans who can run the airports in a professional way. Kenyans are heading Banks, international companies and many other successful businesses. KAA should be run like a private company and without political interference. At JKIA we only need to expand the current the Departure terminals of which alot of empty spaces are available between Terminal 1BC and Terminals 1CD. Then we build a proper Arrivals Terminal at the space where Terminal 1E and empty space next to it. The structure of the current buildings is very strong & can last another 50 years. No need for foreigners to take over our airport. Foreigners should just come as contractors to build and go. We run the airports ourselves.

Quite a clear example of a leader who is still stuck in the dictatorial constitution of the past ....

I sympathise with the people of Tana River under the leadership of the long serving Senator.President Moi used to get similar activities.Electrification of a school would be promised and in the process a road would be hurriedly tamarced and electricity poles would be delivered.The projects would be launched,but immediately after the president's visit the poles would be retrieved and in a few months the newly butemised road would develop pot holes.

Mungatana the young boy from Garsen with big city dreams, after he became a politician the first thing he did was to marry two celebrity wives, then approached a Nigerian witch doctor to double his money - got conned, later run into bankruptcy and conned Wetangula some money - got taken to court, his wives left him. Later on run and won the Senetorial seat, one wife came back and he had her employed by the State house. Man has now redeemed himself again financially, but poor folks of Tana believes there's anything to expect from this man, such is the tale of many places in Kenya. You gotta love these folks, i listened to Mungatana talk of how semi-arid areas have been forsaken by the government, what he won't do is ask for accountability for the 10yrs of Devolution, just a small progress made and we would appreciate, Trillions with nothing to show for it except politicians like Mungatana using their people as pawns, Also please ask him to stop lying - There's a highway from Garsen all the way to Mokowe Lamu so yeah, they do have Tarmac Road.

I am deeply disappointed by Mungatana's mindset. It makes me question whether he truly deserves the title of "Honorable." Someone needs to remind him that we don’t need the president to visit every village in order for us to receive basic services. What Kenyans need is a system that functions efficiently and a country free from corruption. The funds used for these presidential visits could easily build schools or medical centers. Africa, it's time to rise up, and Kenya, wake up! We cannot continue praising leaders for simply doing what is expected of them, only to be made to feel inferior in return.
