When I first got my GTO's I swore they were the wrong size (too small). After emailing Pieter back and forth, he convinced me that I just had to heat mold them. After 6 heat molds, they finally fit very good, except for my longest toes, which still press against the front of the boot. I think one more heat mold and they will be 100%. But you can actually special order the GTO's wider if you have wider feet and also half sizes.
nah, bro too much for my blood. Especially if I can't use other frames. at that price. it really is like Apple vs Samsung lol. Apple limits everything to their platform. smart move on their part tho.
Hi Ricardo, i would have liked your opinion about the Hi-Lo setup. it's very expensive and there is no other frame like it in the market (wich make it even more expensive because you need the adapt boot). What are the pro and cons compared to a 4x90 rockered like endless.
Thanks Ricardo. I bought the GTB few weeks ago... Same problem than you with my bone. Heatmolding few times with adapt advices on their website wasn't enough, so I punched them out a couple of time. It finally fit better, not perfectly yet though. Now, I can say... Very responsive skates, fast (I was cruising way faster than bicycles cruising around me)... and finally, now, after being angry for couple of weeks, very comfortable (not at the pressure point though) . Not happy with customer service from Pro Skaters (In Canada, only place I can find them), and a bit bitter with Adapt. I plan now to buy custom color in the future, if in few month I feel really comfortable.
The best way to mould your boots is by taking them to a snowboard boots fitting shop, I did this with my Powerslide HC Evo. They have some unique tools. I also have a pair of the GTO
Thank you for talking about the way other branded frames sit on the boot. I was thinking about fitting this with my Endless 90 but after hearing your opinion I'm having second thoughts.
I have the 2022 GTB and it took 2 rounds of heat molding and about 50 hours of skating to get them broken in. I still have a minor hot spot in my right ankle and will probably do another round of heat molding to fix it. I have the Quatro R 100/110 frame and wheels with the 6 ball bearings and love them.
What size did you get? I think you said you are 27.5cm, I just measured my feet and wondering what size to get.. My feet measure 28cm need to know which size to get.
Found a 2nd-hand older version Hyperskate... I wonder if the cuff is different (lower), because it has very nice forward flex 🤔 I skate it with the endless 90 and the frame is a bit backwards from center but not in a weird way I think (it's a pre Quattro mount boot so this is maybe different too)
@@that_which_is_not hard to say... It effects the lateral support as well as the forward flex... But I can tighten mine as much as possible and still have enough freedom... It is just very different from other skates and it's clear that a lot of work and testing was put into
WE cannot compares this Adapt brand Skate with any other skate on thé market. It s though and builed as à speed compétition skate for thé street. Skates must Adapt themselves to this concept. At thé end it s Very efficient skate.
I think the GTO is the endgame, but for now I'm really enjoying the SL Speed. The thing that I like the most about the Adapt skates is the Quattro mount with the hi-lo setup, 90-90-100-100 would be perfect for me, and there is no other frame like that on the market.
I have the GTO's and Seba Marathons. My endgame will be a pair of real speed skates in the next year or two. But the GTO's for sure can be the endgame for most.
Hey Ricardo, I stumbled upon your video while shopping around for skates. I'm looking at a pair of these to potentially be my end all be all skate for everyday cruising and commuting. I just had a couple questions. . . Do you know the comparison between the frames available? Are the bolt protection and power strap necessary upgrades? Finally, are there any comparable skates that you might recommend in comparison to the aesthetic style and performance of these Adapt skates? Maybe something that would be more comfortable for longer commutes? Thanks for your time
I just ordered my custom gto skates. My concern is about sizing. But i hope that following right the instructions i won't have a problem. I don't wanna do heat molding lol.
Greetings Ricardo!I have a question regardless it aint about Gto Skates.I started using Intuition liners v2 with my fr 1 skates and they squirk alot. How did u manage to fix this problem?Seems like people are not bothered with the sound of it Thanks for your videos
Wheels are disposable and interchangeable. The skates look like for experienced accurate skaters. Hard to imagine novice going for heat molding on the first set of skates and the skates surviving one season with power skaters.
I remember hyper bank robbers having a similar hub and that had been a mythical wheel for big wheel skating… was used for several world records breaking .. I’m sure copy’s have been done… I can’t confirm these are done by Bravo (hyper) or anyone else . But I can confirm they are fast and did not crack with me
hey im a new subscriber and i wanna get into inline skates but idk what are the best skates for me to start on and i saw ur video of 6 months ago about what to do in your first time with inline skates and i wanted to know what skates where u using in that video and if they are good for a beginner and thx love ur videos they are really helpfull
Hey hey. As a beginner I would tell you to try some hardboot skates… I work with a company called micro. Which has a model called MT PLUs , the one in the video. Very good skate for its price. Also other brands will have some similar skates.. it’s all about having something you feel comfortable and keen to go out and SKATE 🤜🏻🤛🏻
the hard wheels from adapt are not for the streets imo. Had some 110 wheels, but didn't like them on asphalt and stuff (distance). For park and indoor stuff its very nice.
Maybe that’s the part I missed. Last time I skated them 2017 it was in a bowl and loved the feel. But I usually don’t skate these type of skates I’m parks… as I said, need to make a follow up video for sure
The Powerslide Tau is heat moldable but you don't do it like the Evos. Since it is full carbon the time and temperature in the oven is different. You can watch an Oli Benet video explaining the difference between them. Best wishes Ricardo.
Not is not worth it after seeing many videos and many skaters and skate myself different skates is not about the skate is about the skater skills , but hey if you have the money why not they are nice though.
I really wanted the hyperskate , but as i have a bunch of Trinity frames i wrote Adapt asking them to consider adding Trinity licensing as an option , the answer i got back was that they didn't want to use other peoples mounting standards 😒 but isn't 165 and 195 mounting someone else's standard ? 🤔 i'll just stay with my Powerslide Evos then , their loss
