Adaptation and Mitigation | How Green Banks Address Twin Finance Goals 

To meet Paris goals, we will need large amounts of finance to transition to clean technologies. At the same time, the increasing occurrence and severity of climate-fueled natural disasters demonstrate the urgent need for communities to access finance to adapt to our changing world. This event had two panels that showcased how the green bank model of using limited amounts of public funds to mobilize, leverage, and complement private investment can be instrumental in meeting mitigation and adaptation financing needs. Speakers discussed how green banks finance decarbonization and the strategies green banks use to provide adaptation and resiliency finance to communities.
